I've never used a mechanical keyboard so when this went on sale, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try one. First, this has linear switches. So when pressing keys, it only requires a slight touch to them in order for a key to be recognized as pressed. This is supposed to be a benefit for gamers (which I'm not one) and I had to get used to this type of feeling. You cannot really rest your hands on this keyboard too much or else keys will start registering. But I eventually learned how to use this keyboard to my benefit and I like using it now. It has a detachable, magnetic palm rest and backlit keys with several different color options. I believe there's software that can be installed to do more color customizations, but I haven't been interested to look into that more yet.

keyboard works and is very clicky as advertised, but the keyboard uses brown switches not silvers, weird thing to lie about, it does come with 8 spare silvers that aren't clicky at all, so I'm just confused why its advertised as such.

I don't normally write reviews but this is my 6th mechanical keyboard and this one is right up there with the best. I have a Corsair K95, K70...the Razer Turret, original Blackwidow and a cheap one from amazon. The keys feel great. The silver (linear) switches are fast and have a good sound while not too loud. The wrist rest is magnetic and really comfortable. There are 3 different levels of height (if you include flat). I like it how when you hold the FN key, only the keys that have a FN use light up. The volume control and media keys are great. The RGB is great. The switches are even easily swappable if you don't like them. I don't have any complaints. For $90 you definitely cannot find a better keyboard.

Mechanical switches, full programmable RBG lighting, detachable magnetic wrist rest, and media control buttons for an amazing price. Heavy handed key pressers may want to stay away as the actuation force feels more sensitive than a Cherry red linear switch. The shift and space bar stabilizers are a little wobbly compared to other keyboards.

Pros: 1. Less typing errors due to the clicky feel and sound of the keyboard. 2. Changing lights are so cool. 3. Adjustable angle legs. 4. Magnetic wrist rest. 5. Works on Mac & PC with no additional drivers. 6. Built in sound scroll bar. 7. Feels solid. Built like a tank. Cons: 1. The clicky sound is very prominent and may annoy others nearby. 2. Wired USB. Wish it was USB-C.

I usually use keyboards with Cherry switches but desided to try the Kailh switches and one without macro keys . Hencew the Evga Z15 fit the bill and and quite nicely (speacialy on heavy sale $35) . ~ Keyboard is close to perfect for me , abit smaller , silver keys are quiter and faster and no macro keys . Very happy with keyboard , enough to purchace another while onsale . Great deal and super happy with build quality , 3yr warranty , etc !

This keyboard went way beyond my expectations. It has a sturdy, premium feel and the typing experience is sensational. This is the best keyboard for under $70. Some nice features are the braided cable and the RGB lighting modes, which you can control either from the software or from the keyboard itself. The palm rest isn't cushioned, but I don't use palm rests anyway.

Lovely keyboard great build quality and love the feel of typing on it. The EVGA logo is a bit much and looks tacky but not enough to fault the keyboard witch seems to have excellent build quality. the extra switches it comes with are nice if you want some quiet switches on a few of the keys. Would definitely buy from evga again this is a great keyboard.

As someone who has owned multiple mechanical keyboards over the years, none have come close to this keyboard in terms of value if bought on sale. It going on sale happens quite frequently and it's usually an extremely reduced price, like sub $60 reduced. At that price point, I'd argue that no other keyboard can compete. You get a full-sized mechanical keyboard with hot swappable Kailh switches and on top of that you get extra an extra 6 switches included in the box which are the opposite of what your keyboard came configured with. So if you get the clicky version of the keyboard, it will come with linear switches, and vice-versa. With that said, my only real complaints of the keyboard are the fact that the keycaps are ABS plastic as opposed to PBT meaning they are more prone to being worn down over time which will eventually end up giving the keycaps that glossy finish. However, at the price that I paid for it, I can't complain and it's an issue that can easily be fixed by buying a new set of keycaps. With that said, at MSRP there are better options; when heavily discounted, this is probably the best option.

I didn't really care about the RGB lights when I got it- I'm just not into all the light schemes out there. Give me a singular color (white or blue) and I'm good. However, there is a scheme that randomly picks keys and lights them, then slowly fades them. It looks like stars (my kid says). It's pretty cool. Main reasons I got this were because it was a mechanical keyboard, it has a volume rollbar on the top right, and it was on sale. I haven't used a mechanical keyboard before, but the keys that come with it are super smooth, and not clicky at all. I love how quiet it is. There are like 10 brown (super clicky) switches that are included (along with key and switch removal tools). The sliver switches seem very sensitive to me, but I just need to get used to them. Overall, we'll worth the money spent, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I have 3 mechanical keyboards, the Razer Huntsman (clicky green), this one, and the Logitech G915 (tactile). All got on sale at some point. Anyway, the keys on this are a little "softer" than I typically like in my keyboards, but I got it for the office as my supplied gear was meh. The keys having less resistance than I am used to took some getting used to. The overall quality is less than you would find in either of the other brands I mentioned. That being said, if you can pick this up for the same $50 I got this for, it is a phenomenal deal and a good mechanical keyboard at a quarter the price of the others when it goes on sale.

Love my keyboard. I did a tape mod to the PCB and swapped out the keys for some xvx pudding keys for the RGB. I also did an o-ring mod when I swapped the keys. Looks and sounds great.

I've needed a new keyboard for perhaps a year now. I never used a mechanical one before and wanted to give one a try, but put off getting one because of the cost (I'm hesitant to pay $100+). When I saw the EVGA Z15 on sale for $40, and saw that it had good reviews on rtings.com and elsewhere, I jumped at the chance. I never knew that typing on a keyboard could be such a joy. This thing is *perfect*! The keys feel very solid, but still very sensitive. It takes no effort at all to type on this thing, yet accidentally touching keys you didn't intend won't actuate them! At first I was put off by the clicky-clack, but now I kind of like it. I haven't tried the 8 linear switches yet that it comes with. This keyboard includes a couple of extra features I've never seen advertised elsewhere. Every key has an optional secondary function, activated by holding down the "function" key. You can use the EVGA Unleash software to setup macros for these secondary functions. I'm learning German on duolingo and found these macros very useful in typing those umlaut-vowels. In addition, there are 8 "profiles" in total, where each profile can be configured with a different totally configurable lighting effect and different set of secondary functions for your keys. Really, really nice! The only thing is... this EVGA Unleash software is extremely buggy. It often resets my RGB profiles and deletes the macros I spent a long time setting up. Thankfully, it isn't like Logitech's software. This doesn't stay running in the background - you only load it when you want to configure the RGB or macros. I'm not going to dock a star for this, however, because it isn't what I bought the keyboard for anyway. You might not like the over-the-top "gamer" look of this keyboard, or that by default its lit up more colorful than a Christmas tree. I don't mind it though. I actually kind of like it. This isn't a keyboard I'd use in a professional office setting though due to the aesthetics and the loud clicky-clack, but for your home computer - even a "work from home" computer (I do software development) - it's perfect and an absolute pleasure to use.

Bought this on sale for an amazing deal. The key clicks are smooth, rgb looks great and the magnetic wrist rest is a nice touch. Was skeptical how the EVGA rgb software would be its a nice program.
