Ever since purchasing this product I have had great sleep and always wake up refresh. It has Wi-Fi and programmable schedule settings. I can always turn it on and off from wherever I'm at and I can schedule it's around my day.

    cool air, but water everywhere

great looking air conditioning unit, the app is ok too. Sadly, it leaked water all over my hardwood floors. After a couple nights of this messy insanity, I added a drain hose into a 1 gallon bucket but found that I had to drain the bucket every 3-4 hours. Added a 2 gallon pan that the bucket sits in so I can get through the night without dumping the excess water. NOTE: There are two drain caps, make sure the lower one is sealed and doesn't shake loose.

    I LOVE this baby!

Saying I love this baby right here is an understatement. I used it to cool an entire 894 sqft area, even though it’s meant for up to 550. Well I lived in a row home and as you may know, they’re not often wider than maybe 20 ft total, but they can be pretty long. My home was set up as a large open living room, open dining room, and then a mostly closed off kitchen and then bathroom. This unit cooled my entire first floor without hesitation. On those hot days my home felt like it had central air. I placed it in a corner in my dining room, which was the most central location, and at 72 during day time and 77 at night (because no one sleeps on the first floor), this beauty kept it refreshed at all times! I love that, although not advertised, it has a “dry” mode, which means it can also function as a dehumidifier. It comes with a small, round, magnetic remote that can be placed right in the middle of the top of the unit when not in use, or better yet, control the unit from your phone like I did. This unit is smart, and I would always control it from my phone when I was away, so I could have it cool to the proper temperature when I was on my way back home from a trip. Of course, that requires you to have wifi internet at home though. It does need to be placed near a window so that the hot air blown from the back can exit outdoors, and ideally connect a hose to it so you don’t have to move it outside every few weeks to empty it out. Like every AC unit, condensation is collected and a water tank gets filled with all that water. If it’s not emptied it will eventually overflow out of the unit. I like that the adjustable hose that connects the floor AC unit to the window comes with a nice gray, jean-like sleeve that hides the ugly, typical plastic material. Although expensive, I feel like this unit has been worth the money. Where I would’ve needed three separate units, this single one made up for it and it’s smart. It’s supposed to be able to connect to the Google home, but I was never able to get it to connect due to the crappy app that Frigidaire has. But since I can control it from my phone anyway, I didn’t let that bother me too much.

I've had my fridgidaire gallery portable AC for about a month now. First impression was it was bigger than expected. I absolutely love the fabric over the hose as it really keeps the hot air in. Before purchasing I read how quiet this ac was but it's not as quiet as reviewers have made it seem. Mine constantly sounds like water running through it, if it weren't for that then yes it would be pretty quiet. It works best when outside temperatures are below 90. When it's anything over that outside then condensation comes out from where the air blows and it drips all over the top and sides of the unit. I have to wipe it down every hour or so. I have this ac in a small bedroom 172sqft. When it's over 90 the ac will be set to 68 but temp will never go below 73 even when on for 6 hours straight. For a 12000btu ac in such a small room compared to what it's supposed to be able to handle that did disappoint me a bit. The magnetic remote is pretty cool even with it's odd shape although I rarely use it. Alexa works amazing to turn the unit on and off when told (i use the echo and the dot) The fridgidaire app is just as good although the app does have errors at times. I tested the dehumidifier setting by connecting a hose and it worked great, that alone made the room feel so cool. When in cool mode it's supposed to remove the condesation built up inside but when unscrewing the botton valve it was completely fulI, after emptying it, it felt like it ran better but only temporarily (few hours) until it filled back up. Huge pain to empty it by the way because its so low to the ground and so heavy to lift. I purchased mine from best buy for $530 with a 2 year geek squad protection plan ($70 extra) Overall, I still love my gallery compared to past portable acs I've had. It does it's job but for the price id like it to do a bit better of a job. I'd say it's overpriced only for the smart functions.

Thank you for your feedback, Gam3rGirl. While in cool mode, this model recirculates the condensation, which may be what you are hearing at times. The air exiting the appliance is typically 17-20 degrees below the intake air, so it may take some time for it to cool a room down to 68 degrees in the outside temp is 90. While we cannot implement all suggestions we receive, we will continue to use feedback such as yours to improve the quality and design of our products in the future.

So this AC unit is great looking very modern with connection to mobile app and you can turn on / off set temperature check room temperature from anywhere. I turn it on before I leave work, and I set a schedule to turn off in morning to wake me up. The problem is I have it in my studio, and on the lowest fan mode it is a wind storm in there very loud, sounds like it’s blowing! The other thing is that the top is where the AC blows the air out so you have to stand directly on top of it if you want to cool down and it take a while longer to cool a room since it try’s the push the cold air up and then the hot hair cycles down. Idk I would say air coming out of side is more ideal especially if you want to cool off too. I have 210sq/ft studio very open. And it gets up to 95-97 degrees F in there. Takes about an hour to get to 79 then few after that to get to 70s never got to 66 even on lowest temp. It’s a great AC, it’s big but looks nice, it’s loud but smart which is useful. I’d buy again but maybe if it was much much much quieter, and if the price tag was lower! 600!!!!!

Due to climate change and where I am at in CA., homes like mine do not have AC. Now its getting hotter out here. I bought this cooling unit at bestbuy and have not regretted it. After setting it up in my TV room 13'x12' and bedroom, then closing the areas off, this unit cools the room easily. Nice and cool. IT will "not" cool the whole house! I did trying cooling my kitchen and tv room and it would not cool it, to large of an area. Just cool the rooms you occupy with the doors closed. It is ALEXA enable, and will start up and shut down upon request. The thermostat will shut the cooling and remain on fan. You do have to exhaust the the hot air from the unit out a window or sliding glass door, which I found easy enough with my own modifications. The unit is heavy and has handles on the side to lift it and move it around (78lbs). If your renting, yes its worth it or in transition of installing HVAC in your home, while its hot outside.

Love my dalek - er, air conditioner

Given some other reviews I saw before buying this air conditioner, I'd say this takes a bit of understanding in order to appreciate it. First, this is heavy as a "portable" air conditioner, but only by a few pounds over my top end Insignia air conditioner I bought a couple years ago also from Best Buy. To me, that is a small, point in time issue when moving it into the home or moving it around. I'll agree with others - Frigidaire, you actually have a cool product, but you need to improve the packaging! What really matters is - how well does it work? In that category, it is an easy 5 stars from me. Set up was a breeze, and the window connecter was a snap. I really like the cover on the air hose, it does help keep the hot air heading out of the home versus baking off the vent. As soon as I set it up in the oversized living room/dining room/kitchen area, it quickly earned the nickname, "The Dalek." It is kinda funky as a design, kinda quirky, and personally I like that it isn't the usual rectangle block. Wifi set up was a snap, and the options made for quick cooling. A discovery - I ran it for a while with the drain capped, basically ran it out of the box. It got a little colder than I wanted, but when I hooked up a short drain hose (garden hose cut shorter) then it really did show what it could do. In short order it filled a popcorn bowl full of water, once drained, it was cool and comfortable, and ECON setting was the best experience. Here in Seattle we have constant moisture, and we also call 78 degrees hot - my Frigidaire dalek took on both of those issues. Noise level? Much quieter than my Insignia. Same sound level of my Dyson fan on 8. To me, that is quiet, especially for an in room air conditioner. As they say, your mileage may vary - I'm already planning to buy a second one for the other side of my home. 30 days in, this is a winner in my book.

This Frigidaire portable air conditioning unit does the job. The best part is the expandable window attachment that fits most windows quickly and easily. It's a bit noisy and the vent sometimes comes off, but the unit cools well. It has wheels, but it's so heavy that you won't be carrying the unit up and down stairs.

First I will say I'm a little surprised at the semi negative reviews. This unit is an excellent AC and takes up very little space for the hose at the bottom of the window and without having to move furniture everywhere because the design is "slimmer" than most. My husband and I have an open house concept and we bought this to offset the Haier AC we have in another room. This unit is much more powerful and efficient and we are ordering another one of these and getting rid of the Haier unit that we've only used 2 years. People complaining about "loud" there is no such thing as a "quiet" AC. You either sweat or suck it up and enjoy the comfort ;)

I'm sure it's expected but in case you weren't sure, this a/c unit is loud and heavy. It cools the room/space pretty quickly and is fairly straightforward to "install". If you have to move it to another room, just expect it to be a PIA (because it's heavy, etc.).

Living in Hawaii the summers can get very hot depending what side of the house your windows are on. Unfortunately for me, my windows are in the direct path of the afternoon sun. Without having central air, a portable AC was a must. I opted for this one as it seemed to be the best bang for my buck as I wanted to cool my living room. Installation is a breeze, the smart app is extremely convenient. However, my living room is not the largest of spaces and I feel that this thing does struggle at times. I understand that it does have to work a bit more as the sun beams directly in to the living room but I feel it should be cooling a little better. Although loud, I would recommend this to a friend.

I have tried couple of portable A/Cs before trying this one. Those , though claim 350 sq ft capacity, can't even cool 150 sq ft. Frigidaire Gallery cools down my 300 sq ft in very short amount of time & the ECON mode is just awesome. This mode is the real feature to keep power bills under check. The smart phone app is not easy to install, but once that's done the usage is simple. The smart app can be made better, a lot better actually.

I'm using this to cool a loft with only a skylight window. Normal AC in the house isn't effective in this room. This AC cools the room beautifully! One thing to note: It's much bigger than it looks in the pictures and quite heavy as well. The Wifi/Alexa/Google functionality is a very nice addition as well. The accessories for the exhaust are well-constructed and they give you quite a bit to fit your window. I had to build my own window insert for it, but I'm glad this unit is allowing me to finally use the loft comfortably during the hot seasons.

So I bought this air conditioner for our bedroom. I really liked the way it looked and the Wi-Fi options it had available to it. The only problem with this air conditioner is that it wasn’t strong enough to cool our bedroom. Our bedroom is a decent size but it should’ve been enough for this air conditioner to cool it. If they made a bigger BTU version in this air conditioner I would definitely get that.
