This A.C is the bomb it cools the room really fast it is not too noisy its more on the quiet side,my personal favourite is the Eco mode it cools the room and pause then when it gets to a certain temperature it starts again. If you are on a budget looking for quality and affordability this is it,you get quality for your money and it is afordable.

Just love this AC! Is quiet and efficient cooling of my bedroom! It is easily controlled using remote. I use Eco mode most.

I recently purchased the GE 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home. It’s perfect for cooling smaller spaces, and it works really well in my 150 sq. ft. room. Within minutes, the room feels much cooler, and the unit operates fairly quietly, which is great for sleeping or working. One of the best features is the remote control, which makes adjusting the temperature and settings convenient without having to get up. The energy efficiency is also noticeable—I can run it throughout the day without worrying about a huge spike in my electricity bill. The unit was easy to install and fit securely in my window. This GE unit was an excellent value. It was purchased for the second floor bedroom in a bungalow style home. Installation was good and I was able to obtain the correct position for good drainage, however, the vinyl windows did not have a good spot for the security tabs, and I ended up putting extra screws in the window frame to prevent the window from opening. Performance is good and blows nice cold air, and the unit is pleasantly quiet. Remote is a nice touch. There are only two things I do not like, but they are minor: The vents can be aimed side to side, but range of movement is limited and there is no vertical adjustment. The second thing is that the unit starts in Eco Mode, which is fine, but the next step in the controls is Fan, which turns off the compressor and means you have to wait a couple minutes for it to come back on when you try to change from Eco to Normal. Minor quibble, but it would have been more logical to go Eco, Normal, Fan. Overall though, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Easy to install and works great when it's been 90+ degrees this summer. No complaints, it just works, is quiet, light enough for one person to lift/install, and the remote control is handy at times!

Pros: Easy to install, cools well, digital thermostat, lots of settings to choose from, handy remote, pretty quiet when fan alone is on. Con: When the compressor kicks in, the noise level is high. In order to get to sleep at night, I’ve had to run the AC at full blast, then change setting to Eco Mode (compressor cycles off and on) and set thermostat to higher temperature. This allows the fan to circulate cool air without the compressor running.

We have several of these in our 1860 house. Love them. Small and light enough to easily get into the windows(some original) Cools quickly. *Quiet for sleeping, watching tv only requires a slightly higher volume as unit is in window next to tv. *Remote well worth it, makes them super easy to use, esp at night. Timers are wonderful. Kids bought same units for apartments.

A very powerful AC for the money. Light weight and easy to install. Runs extremely quiet while cooling down a 12 x 12 room in minutes. I’m going to get one more of the same.

This air conditioner is quiet, easy to use, light weight to install and does a great job keeping the room cool. I actually have it installed in a room much larger than 10’ x 15’ and it has no problem keeping the room comfortable. I own many GE Appliances and they are always great products and worth purchasing.

Small size unit cools well. Easy for 1 person to install. Made for small rooms but when used with fans easily cools 2 rooms. Relatively quiet, a good choice.

Very quiet AC love the settings easy to install comes with remote which is very handy while you’re laying in bed suggests everyone that needs a AC in their bedroom.
