The range is very fast; so much so the first few times I burnt my eggs on a cast iron skillet when I turned my back. Now I start at lower heat settings. Elements are larger than cheaper models. Only used oven during Thanksgiving and it worked well. At 350 the door was just slightly warm indicating good heat retention. Roller rack was great. The bottom door was missing a support but customer service was fast with a replacement support (3 days). Door works fine but lighter than the one in my previous 22 year old range.

This review is for the GE® 30" Free-Standing Electric Range JB350DFWW. We had to wait over a month for stock of this stove to come in and it was worth the wait. We wanted a coil stove and what sold me on this one was the power boil coil that other coil stoves did not have. It does heat quickly and effectively. The handle to the stove is very sturdy and durable. The stove came with 2 oven racks; 1 of which was an easy rolling one but I have yet to use that one. The racks can be kept in stove when self-cleaning is started although the burner drip trays cannot. The bottom storage drawer is just that a drawer and not a heated drawer. We only wanted storage. This drawer is slightly bigger than our previous stove's drawer (an old Hotpoint 25 yrs old) which is a nice surprise. When we first had it installed the bottom drawer kept getting hung up the last 4 inches of closure but the technician and I soon realized it was because of the electric plug line in the back of the stove that seemed to coil under the drawer. The bottom of the drawer sits much lower to the floor than our old stove and so we had to basically hold the electric wiring up a bit and out of the way til we pushed the whole stove back into place and then it no longer caused a problem with the drawer. The bottom drawer does NOT have a handle to pull but more of an indentation on the top part of the white exterior that you grab onto to open; I wish it had a handle. I see there is a handle on different GE models sold. I do notice that the oven light does not come on when you open the oven door like our old one did so you have to push the 'oven light' button on the control pad for it to stay on continuously and then push it again when you want the light out. I do wish that feature was different but not a big deal once you know how it works. The oven temp was spot on and when you start the bake mode on the control panel it will say "Pre" and stay that way til temp is reached, then it shows the temp in degrees. As far as the dials of each coil is concerned; they can be turned left or right to get to your temp for that coil. They all don't seem to have the same hefty click at the end when you go back to the "OFF" position. 2 of mine are a softer click. We are not too concerned but we will watch to see if it changes down the road. The old stove had those black bakelite knobs that had a very sturdy and definate click when turned off. I wish they still had them in the new stoves. With an 8 1/2 inch tall stockpot placed on the larger burner in the rear you can still adjust the temp controls very easily. I did a test: 1 cup of measured tap water (not too cold) placed in a good quality sauce pan (no lid) took 1 minute 50 seconds to come to a full boil on the front power boil burner. For us this is fine considering how long it took with our old stove. All in all the family is happy with this stove.

VERY nice stove. Order was delivered on time, and I was even able to get an appointment a week earlier than the online schedule offered. The delivery guys were very professional. As for the stove itself, it is a very nice unit. The oversized big burners on top are very nice for big pots and pans, and does boil water quickly. The only "flaw" I could find with the stove is that the drawer under the oven sits in there just a tad bit funny to me, but you can't tell unless you are really nit pickin it apart.

This is a very nice looking stove and so far I am very pleased with it. My burners heat so quickly I have to keep an eye on it. I also love the sliding rack, I had never seen one of those before. VERY HAPPY !!!

Very good for the $$$$ happy to find large oven in the biscuit finish. Also like 2 large burners.

It is everything I wanted! Traded a smooth top for it and am very happy I did.
