We replaced a 30 year old range hood and are pleased. The installation for my husband was easy and it has a sleek modern look. The fan is not as quiet as I would like but does the job well. Great value for a DIY.

Again replacing a 30 year old item and this one is a solid replacement again I always recommend getting all new component parts when you are replacing appliances.

Replaced the range hood after moving into a new home. The existing one was cheap and ugly. This GE is both attractively styled and functional. The light accommodates almost any regular or energy saving bulb. It has a low setting to use as an accent light and the fan has multiple speeds.

Looks nice and runs fine. I don't know why the damper was screwed onto the top of the range hood where it is visible. The carrier delivered it damaged at one corner but we hammered it out and painted it with matching appliance paint.

This hood was very easy to install and looks very stylish. It has a 3 speed fan as well which is new to me, but pretty awesome. The one thing that concerns me is that the top of the hood gets very hot when you have the light on. I think I am going to install a CFL bulb to fix this, but with a standard bulb it gets hot to the point where you cannot keep your hand there. It is probably not dangerous, but anything that gets excessively hot inside the house makes me nervous.
