Mystery White Boy

From the first time I popped into my disc-man I was in love. The beautiful and haunting begining to "Mojo Pin" literally makes you feel like you're in a dream. The emotion throughout the entire album is incredible and undeniable. It's definetly not the sort of record to throw on and have playing in the background because it steals your attention. The songs have an incredible amount of depth and Jeff's influences shine through his own work beautifully. His cover of Nina Simone's "Lilac Wine" is not only amazing but it's amazing that he included it on his album. My favourite track would have to be "Lover, You Should've Comer Over," just for the pure romanticism of it. Lines like, "All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter," send a chill down my spine. Jeff's voice will echo in your mind for hours after listening to him. With him you'll hear each note, you'll follow his voice from a whisper to a scream. His range is insane and the songs are not black and white, they are intricite and full.

Great CD

I heard Hallelujah on satellite radio and knew I had to find this cd. That song alone makes the whole cd worth buying. There is something so haunting and moving about the song. Of course I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rest of the cd was equally as great. A true treasure. It is very sad he is no longer with us.
