I watched this a lot as a kid. It is still good!!!

A classic of my childhood, upgraded to a nice bluray. On of my fave 80s flicks

If you like the 80s movies this is a must have, especially since it’s available on blue ray

I greatly enjoy this movie. I think it gets negative considerations from people who don't appreciate what it's meant to be. An engaging family comedy, with just the right amount of sentimentality. My little children were riveted, loving the creature effects (Academy Award winning, I might add), and laughing throughout the movie at the clean comedy. Something comedies need to return to. It does bear the sensibilities of the times it was made in, for example: Animal Right activism via "Say No to Fur" type imagery and comments. But that doesn't distract too often and makes for some funny moments as well. This is an extremely memorable movie, with excellent creature makeup / puppetry.

If you grew up in the 80's, there's no doubt this movie crossed paths with your television screen at one point or another. It's a cult classic and serves up a ton of laughs with many life endearing messages seasoned in along the way. Jon Lithgow is fantastic and hilarious as usual and it's hard not to fall in love with Harry himself. I especially love the scene where Harry's watching tv in the recliner and laughing so hard at the show he's watching, that he throws food at the screen. There's just something about these movies that todays generation of film making just can't seem to capture anymore. This movie is definitely worth a re-watch if you haven't seen it in a long time.

One the the very few movies I've ever enjoyed that still makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I watch it. The Blu-ray version provides better quality audio and video than I can remember ever. It's an endearing tale of learning how to respect nature and all it's creatures, ever when it practically destroys the life you thought you knew. All star cast with superb acting, directing and cinematography.

A charming movie about a family who unwittingly end up befriending a creature resembling "bigfoot". Aptly named "Harry", the creature is a gentle giant with a big heart and no aggression who just wants to live in peace. The costume for the creatue is quite believable. A light-hearted bigfoot movie without all the violence and horror. Just a fun family movie that avoids being cheesy.

Who wouldn't want to make Bigfoot part of the family? This is a funny heart warming story of how Bigfoot came to join a family. It has laughs and emotion jerking moments that keep you interested throughout the movie. Harry could come be part of my family anytime. It's a bit date for 2016, but still a good movie to watch.

I wanted to upgrade my dvd to blu ray and was happy to see it released with HD picture! I was disappointed that the studio, Universal, didn't upgrade the audio from the standard 2.0 audio to DTS 5.1, only DTS 2.0! Glad to still pickup this older movie from BB on sale that's still funny after all these years! Highly recommend! Includes all the extras including deleted scenes and its making!

This movie was on sale and I could not pass it up. The only other copy I have is on Laserdisc and it is in great shape however, this will be easier on me to add to my movie server. This blu-ray will not disappoint. Your children will love this film. I love this film, I would welcome BigFoot in my house too.

I saw this movie when it first came out back in the late 80's and it made me laugh my butt off back then. I was really glad to see it come out on Blu-ray and I had to add it to my collection. The acting is pretty good, and the story line will make you think whether anything and everything is possible if you just open up your mind.

I grew up with this movie, among many others from the 80/90's and still find it enjoyable. Even my kids enjoy watching this family friendly movie (note: some mild profanity). Though it has aged given the setting(what 80/90's movie hasn't), the story still holds up.

John Lithgow turns in a great performance as the head of the Henderson family who befriend a bigfoot after they hit him with their car. Well done make-up for "Harry", the bigfoot, help with the suspension of dis-believe factor. A little slap-stick at times, this is a good family movie.

We purchased this movie to watch with the kids. It had been a long time since I had seen it and was still entertained as when I first watched. This is a fun watch. There is something for everyone in this film.

This movie has been a staple of my family's since my kids were young. It has humor, suspense, love, and action all rolled into one package. The blu ray really brings some quality to the experience but the transfer could be better. Still, for the movie alone I would recommend this item.

Love this movie. The family hits a sasquatch on the road then take it home. It's just how he wrecks their lives and they adjust to him.

A fun movie from the late 1980s, this movie was finally released on Blu Ray by Universal. Although they didn't appear to remaster the film it looks really good on the format. The humor holds up well and the makeup still impresses. Good movie; very engaging family entertainment!

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid so I ordered it so my niece and nephew could watch it...my niece was a little scared and didn't want to finish it...she's 10...my nephew thought it was cool..he's 11. So I guess it depends on the kids watching it.

I can watch this movie over and over again without getting tired because it's so much fun and with excellent actors. The adventures with Bigfoot with keep you laughing but there are some touching scenes too.

If you have never seen this movie then your childhood was not complete. For all you non believers, this will change your heart. Bigfoot is real and this is the movie that got me Squatch hunting. Must see for the whole family.
