I feel like the product isn’t awful, so I’m torn on tbis review. The movie was in good quality but I really don’t thinn this benefits all that much from 4KU BD. I feel like this could be done just as well with a standard Blu Ray, but what do I know? The packaging is fine, the disc doesn’t fall of it’s spindle and the box is appealing enough. As for the movie? Awful. It starts so strong and so mysteriously which really helps the audience get into it because as a viewer I felt so compelled to understand it. I was theorizing as soon as it started getting odd- but then they throw mystique out the window and fully override the story with supernatural elements that ruined the entire experience for me and the person who I watched it with. I seldom enjoy a horror movie due to their campy, predictable and awful writing and unfortunately this one falls into the same pit. This movie started with so much energy but it spends it all in the first two acts and the final third of this movie becomes the equivalent of a b movie that ran out of ideas a while ago and ditched any sense of mystery to instead say “because the devil”. I hated how this set me up and yet I see people praising this movie because of how crafty it was with it’s hidden symbols? No. The “symbols” they act as if they hid are too obscure to make sense of unless you’re watching the movie for a 2nd or 3rd time. I always say it afterwards and unfortunately I am saying it again this time “I really need to stop watching horror movies.”

Hereditary is amazing, but the disc isn’t. As far as I’m concerned, it wasn’t filmed in 4K, so it’s a digital upscale, which as usually not great (unless it’s for old movies). The detail isn’t any sharper and the color is about the same. Stick with the Blu-Ray and save money.

I think I was expecting more from this movie based on reviews and the trailers. I did not find this movie to be very scary, but more disturbing. I love Toni Collette and think she is amazing, but this movie did not really do much for me. If you are looking for a movie to really scare you and make you jump out of your seat, this really isn't the right movie. Still worth seeing and this is only one persons opinion.

Wife picked up this movie, but I found it dark and indifferent which is not my cup of tea. However; this is only my personal opinion on this movie, as some individuals just may enjoy it. I gave it three stars for the acting but as far as the subject matter, it falls short for me!

A long slowburn that's not really worth the time you put into it. I don't understand everyones obsession with this one. If you're a fan: The blu-ray video and audio quality is on point, this would be worth adding to your collection.

I watched this one a few weeks ago. I remember liking it at the time, but it was slow. I had to watch the trailer just now to remember what the movie was about, so it really wasn't a memorable movie.

Heard and read reviews that this movie was very scary and the Rosemary's Baby/The Exorcist of this era but that hype didn't live up at all. Was ok. nothing special.

The HDR makes this movie, almost worth, watching. There are so many dark scenes that the HDR really makes the scenes pop. The story, however, gets a little derailed and they miss their mark.

Movie was good to me up until the final 20 minutes or so where it became a bit too odd for me. Overall wish I rented it first. The 4k dolby vision image did look very nice though.

This movie is beautifully filmed, acted, and brings the audience in but it lacks a horror appeal. It does creep out the audience but you won't be frightened.

3 1/2 stars a solid horror flick but a weak ending prevented it from being better

The movie is fine but is getting top reviews for its styles. I don’t think it’s as good as it is made out to be. It looses me at times.

A bit disappointing. However, the picture quality is good.

Toni Collette always shines in her performances. This story driven gothic drama will keep you guessing.

I would watch this over and over. It gets better after each review.

hereditary was an average movie, it wasnt as scary as i thought it would be.

Although this is not the best horror movie I have seen, it kept me entertained with the original concept.

movie had some moments but not worth the hype . strange ending . started out really good . worth watching .
