This machine is doing all we've asked of it and more, but the cord that came with it (the laptop was refurbished) almost blew our house up. Thankfully my older son is an honorary Geek, himself, so he was able to diagnose the issue and we ordered a good charger before the fire department had to get involved. Be on the lookout for generic charger cords with these refurbisheds. If you start tripping the breakers every time you plug this thing in, and if the block is hotter than July... run for cover. Also, the keys (R, etc.) were coming off the keyboard inside of 2 months, much to our dismay. My younger son, who we bought the laptop for, is rough on things, so I would say take that into consideration when you're buying, Do your kids treat their electronics like a soccer ball...? If so, rethink. It's been less than a year and I am hoping it goes the distance.

I had very high hopes for this product, as its specs offered everything I needed, the price was perfectly in line with my funds, and it overall looked and sounded like exactly what I was looking for. I am not sure if this particular one was somehow a dud, or if the company doing the refurbishing failed in its processes, but the end result was a laptop which refused to work. No matter how long the battery charged, and even with a replacement battery, it would not even turn on. And from my research, the fact the charge light kept stayed a blinking amber tells me that the unit was defective, likely in its motherboard. Despite this, the product was claimed to have been examined, tested, and approved as in working order. I don't know what went wrong here, but I am very grateful for the warranty that came with it. Needless to say, I am never buying such a product again, and I am even wary of buying future products from Best Buy at all. (I have previously also had a bad experience with Geek Squad's repairwork.) Only time will tell.

I have had thia computer for less than 6 months and it will not boot, saying to install a hard drive and OS. Has been slow up to this point, and battery life left something to be desired, but was functional for basic school needs and now is useless. Did not buy extended warranties, as the point of buying rehabbed was to buy something inexpensive. You get what you pay for (or you get even less).

I purchased this because I thought “hey, Best Buy, name recognized company. This is a great way to get a computer with the bells and whistles I need for a lower price”. I will never purchase a refurbished computer again. When it was first sent, the charging cord with it didn’t work so they had to reship another. Now I’ve had it barely a month and the 8 key stopped working. I can’t get the warranty company or Best Buy Geek squad to do anything about it so I am stuck using a keyboard hooked up to the laptop.

Functional, in good condition. I've had it for about a month now. No problems so far. It came with clear activation instructions for Windows, and definitely met my expectations for a refurbished laptop from Best Buy. Glad I made this purchase. Thanks!

Bought this computer for my college student. It has worked out very well. Great for multitasking and getting assignments completed. The biggest knock is no DVD player.

Good product for the price $250. Got this refurbished product but it works fine and I am not having any issues with it

When receiving the device I found out that all of the USB ports on the computer were dead and was having other issues. Will not be buying anymore refurbished devices again.

The computer is fast and runs well, only had it for a few days but so far so good. I can definitely tell it was refurbished though because it has several little nicks and scratches, which I expected it to be in better condition aesthetically than that.

My son traded in his old laptop and added money with the credit to purchase this new used one. He absolutely loves it. I have heard no complaints at all.

I gave this computer as a gift and the battery don’t work and came dirty. My niece had to buy a new battery and pay to someone to install it. Sadly my niece has to used it and refuse to return it.
