The computer seems flimsy. And it is very unhandy. I take responsibility for not looking close enough at it. To plug in the usb's I have to reach over the top and turn the plug in's in backwards. I cannot see the places where they'd be plugged in. The pc points those plug in areas backwards on top of the pc. I can't imagine how that would work for anybody unless you sit with the back of the computer toward you instead of the front. Second, I opened the front door to put a dvd in and the door felt like it would fall off easily. The dvd holder pops out and it also feels very flimsy as if it'd break off easily. I guess the one descriptor I'd use is cheap. And you might say that it was cheap, but it's not necessary for any product to deliberately design a product cheaply regardless of the cost.

    Buyer Beware

I purchased this computer and when I tried to install Microsoft Office 2016 the machine locked up. A machine that once booted up in seconds now took 10 minutes. I called HP service and they said there must have been a problem with initial loading of operating system software and I'd have to wipe my machine and reload everything. The service technician was very nice and walked me through the entire process. After two hours, I tried again to download Microsoft Office 2016 and the machine locked up again. I was not happy. I did get a message that I need to update some software. Once I did that I was able to successfully download Microsoft Office 2016. Praying that machine continues to work properly. Seems like HP service technicians troubleshooting process is less robust than it should be.

This is a fair computer, what was not advertized is that is has a video card built into the the motherboard, and due to that it is not a good computer for watching videos, because it create a lag time When I call tech support they lied to me about the poor quality of the built in video card and tried to blame the internet service for streaming. With an external video card it streams video just fine. So don't buy if you want to stream T.V. or movies with your computer.

    Doesn't Work

My internet wasn't working well. It was intermittent. My devices worked part time. Finally one by one nothing worked--new computer, wi fi computer, phone, Magic Jack phone, lap top, etc. Finally, everything went out. I finally figured out that my modem wasn't working. It took a couple of weeks to get a new one. (I live in a very rural area. Now, my phone and old computer works but the new computer won't come on. I don't know why. I live out of the service area and it will cost me a lot to get it to work.

Causes internet slow down. Took to Geek squad and 5 months later it did the same thing. Disconnect internet from it and speed goes back up on other computers. No one can seem to find the problem Geek on line 3 times and shop once. It is no only 2 years old.

    Major glitch in C drive

The C drive is solid state and only 120 GB. It is big enough for the Windows operating system, but any large files need to go to the D drive which is 1 TB. I use a paid cloud service for about 600 GB of data. The cloud service cannot store the original data on the computer because its program must be on the same drive as the Windows system (the C drive). That was not a problem on my old computer which had only the C drive. So now I can use the cloud only online. Uploads are very slow that way. You can set the default drive for new apps and data, but many apps will only operate on the C drive.
