    Laptop good for Travel

I was looking for a good laptop for travel, yet the screen size was not so small that I have to strain my eyes to read the display. This appears to be one that would fit the bill. Barely over 4 lbs, and a screen size of 13.3", it goes into my medium size backpack perfectly and is not too heavy to carry around. With a battery life of just over 6 hrs, it is not exceptional but adequate for most situations. The core i3 processor, though not the most powerful, provides adequate power to handle most day-to-day applications. In addition to the wifi capability, it also has an ether net wire connection, which is a nice feature to have for a small computer. A nice feature is that the laptop provides plenty of external connections: 3 USC ports (1 USB3), a hdmi, and a media card reader. The initial setup was a breeze, and everything works well thus far (I had it for 3 months now). I am satisfied with its performance. The only annoying part is that it takes a bit longer for it to wake up from sleep mode when compared to similar laptops.

    Great buy for a teenager

Bought this laptop for my teenager in high school. It works great for her. Decent processor and large enough hard drive for her to store school work, music, pictures, etc. It has a pretty good battery life (even with a lot of social media use) and is lightweight enough for her to take back and forth to school. The display could be a bit sharper, but for the price it is pretty good. The touch screen is an added bonus. It probably gets a little less used than the actual keyboard, but it works efficiently when it is used. It comes equipped with Beats Audio and music/videos sound great when playing. I would definitely recommend this laptop to others, as we are quite pleased with the purchase!

    Great 2-in-1 Tablet

This is an excellent 2 in 1 laptop. The i3 processor is fast and powerful enough for everyday tasks,e-mail and web surfing as well as gaming. The display has a nice picture when viewing movies and television shows. I do however would have like this model to have a higher resolution display. However for the price this is a very good computer. The hard drive is very spacious and the 4GB RAM suffices for most tasks and gaming. The only thing that I do not like about this laptop is it is difficult to upgrade/replace the internal components such as memory and/or hard drive. In order to upgrade those components the unit would need to be disassembled.I also love the fact that the screen can be flipped all the way around and the unit can be used as a tablet.I am very impressed with the overall performance of this laptop and would recommend it to anyone from the business professional, student and typical casual computer user.

I purchased this with my 11 year old in mind. The touch screen is great for her to use. I didn't want to spend over $500, so I went with the i3 processor instead of higher. For the web and basic software it should be fine. It's a little less stylish and the keyboard is not as good as others, but this HP is still a solid good buy.

    Great for the Wife

Upgraded my wife's old laptop that she uses in the front room (almost 6 years old-- ancient for a PC). I definitely wanted to get her something that was touch capable, as the new version of Windows has an entire ecosystem for touch enabled things that will only grow over the next few years. She basically uses her laptop to read her email, browse the web, and periodically use Office or listen to music/videos (she also has an iPad, but there's some things that they just don't work well on). This is perhaps the most "affordable" touch screen laptop that BB has at the time. There are ones that are less expensive, but anything less than 13" on a laptop isn't all that acceptable to her. The Core i3 processor is the entry level in the i series-- but is more than capable for the casual workload (don't expect to play FPS games on it). It's quiet and cool, light, and battery life (thusfar) is excellent. Display quality is clear and the "beats" sound is acceptable for a laptop of this size.

Sleek, easy to use, and a great size for portability. It charges quickly and stays charged for hours! The touch screen and 360 degree hinge features add a fun factor and are ideal for watching movies, playing games, and even for browsing various social media and blogging websites. My only complaints would be the weight of the laptop (it can get tiring lugging it around campus all day) and how easily the laptop gets scratched. Other than that, this is a great laptop overall and definitely a purchase I don't regret!

I use this for travel when I need more than my iPad. Lightweight for hauling thru airports. I use it mostly for Internet and Microsoft Office programs, so can't speak to its use for gaming, Skype, etc. The touchscreen makes it easy to switch between the usual Windows 8 and the traditional desktop mode. Has all the ports I need (USB x 3, Ethernet, HDMI) plus WiFi. And I can use it as a tablet with its virtual keyboard so I don't have to prop it open as a laptop (and access things that need Adobe Flash, which the iPad can't do).

I am very satisfied with this HP laptop. It is perfect for excel, word, and powerpoint. It is also super portable and perfect for taking notes in class. The processor is not the fastest and the touchpad is a little hard to get used to, but overall a great laptop!

I was looking for a smaller laptop because I was starting college. As an older adult, I really didn't know what kind of things to look for that I was going to need. Luckily I had a very knowledgeable service representative that helped me and told me that this laptop would be perfect for what I needed it for. I was a little skeptical but bought it anyway because I couldn't beat the price. Well, I have been in college for a little over 2 months and I have to say the representative at Best Buy was right....this laptop over exceeds my expectations! It even folds back and presto......you now have a touch screen tablet! Also I fold it back to form a 'tent' shape and it props up so I can watch movies and videos. I really don't have anything negative to say about this laptop. Love it!

I just went on a live aboard catamaran week long trip. I needed a lighter but just a robust laptop to download pictures and video from my goPro and JVC digital HD video camera. Once downloaded this laptop also served as a viewing platform for all the photos and videos that were taken - speakers are ok - would suggest external if you have a higher quality demonstration to present. Excellent battery life and management of battery resources. I got easily 10-12 hrs of use on single charge. Battery seems to rapidly recharged up to 80% (didn't time recharge rate but was plugged in for less than 30 mins) then more slowly up to rest of 100%. I also use it now as my business laptop as well. I loaded it with Office 365. It handles all of the light work I need done while conducting presentations and tracking limited payroll/accounts receivable. I like the ability of the 2-1 to convert it to a viewing stand. Flipping it 180' around for tablet mode I was not as impressed with it and would instead like it to separate completely from the keyboard instead. I worry about the keyboard getting damaged in this configuration. Very capable laptop. Outside of my personal distaste for Windows 8 it would recommend this laptop. Excellent laptop for the price.

I purchased this to replace a larger HP Pavilion laptop. I really like the smaller size and weight. Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but I love the touch screen option. This machine does everything I need (I'm a real estate broker) and so far, I am happy with the purchase.

Definitely not the fastest laptop but fast enough for business, surfing the internet and streaming Netflix. it turns into a tablet and the keyboard becomes a stand allowing the screen to be positioned as required . It does not have the portability of an Ipad of course but it has a superior flexibility. At this price this is an excellent product. I would recommend it in particular to frequent travelers.

Easy to use. Great for business and fun. I love the flexibility of moving from key board to touch pad. I have not downloaded any music as of yet so I cannot give an honest review concerning that. Once you get the hang of it's sensitivity maneuvering through it's programs with multiple programs open it is a breeze to use. I was looking for something light weight to replace my laptop and not have to mortgage my house and this was it. Highly recommend this computer.

When I first got the laptop it had problems with the wifi for a couple of days because it would keep disconnecting, but now that problem is gone. I think it is a nice laptop and I love the size. I was originally planning to get a Mac Book Pro 13", but as a struggling college student I decided to go for. Computer half the price and use my spare money for other things. I ended up really loving this laptop, I love the color and the size is perfect. I looked around for 13" laptops and there were not many options. The keyboard is nice and the way the screen folds back so you can hold it and use it as a tablet is awesome. The touchscreen is super handy and when I bought this product I received a free computer security package (that's worth $30 on the site) for free. And it lasts for up to six months I think. I also received a free $5 giftcard to best buy. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who needs a good computer for school that is not looking to spend as much as they would for a Mac Book.

Being a nursing student, I needed a laptop that was light and easy to carry around campus, easy to maneuver, touchscreen, with an HDMI slot, and memory card slot -- this device exceeded all of my expectations. The 360 feature is convenient for group projects as I can change the position of the laptop making it easier to work on. I also love windows programming system. It allows me to pull up multiple windows on one screen and work on all of them with ease. I love this laptop

I wanted a small light weight lap top to take on the road. This one has many features that I'm still getting used to. I gave it a 4 star because it doesn't have a disc drive so I had to buy one of those. But that is what makes it lighter. So it's a trade off. I thought the small screen would be a drawback but being able to stretch the screen is really great. Like right now I have the screen stretched. Overall I'm very satisfied with my new Pavilion x360

I love this computer, I take it every where with me, it is much lighter then my old one. And for reading in bed it is the best. I just flip it where the screen is facing me and the keyboard is flat against my tummy and I can read and I don't have to hold on to the thing all the time. I love how fast I picked up windows 8 . Different people told me I might not like it but after only an hour or so of working with it I was having a ball. Thank you so much for showing me this machine, I Love It. I tell every one how great it is.

My wife needed a simple laptop/tablet as our original Galaxy Tab 10.1 wasn't cutting it anymore. We went to the store, tried out all the 2-in-1's, read reviews, and decided on this one for a few main reasons when demoing the other in-stock items side-by-side: screen size, keyboard response, touch screen, Beats audio, tablet mode and the way you can prop it up in tablet mode, and price. She loves it and have no regrets!
