Stay away... not Apple friendly
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this multi-tool unit for Swiss-army style connectivity with my new iPad Pro. Sadly, while well built, this failed spectacularly on its first use while trying to run a Keynote talk through its HDMI port. Fortunately, someone had an Applie-branded lightning-HDMI adaptor and I was able to run the presentation through my iPhone. As a few other reviews have warned, for some reason these third party adaptors don’t work for all situations and with all devices. Too bad Apple doesn’t make a similar unit, but if you are serious about functionality, buy yourself a genuine Apple dongle.

Runs quite warm
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use on my new 2020 MacBook Air because the computer has only USB-C ports. I liked this hub because it used only 1 USB-C port (others that looked good to me used both), it had a headphone jack (the headphone jack on the computer is on the right, which gets in the way of my mouse movements), and all of the other ports I needed. Functionally, it worked well. However, I returned it because it became very warm quickly and never cooled off. This happened even with nothing attached to it. For me, it was disturbingly warm. So, I returned it and purchased a different hub.

Ok for extras
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works for regular subs sd card ext. The only downfall is this gets super hot. Almost too hot to touch. I would recommend something else if it would work and not get so stinking hot.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed that n the quality. It overheats. I connected this to 2 monitors ,1 through HDMI port and the other through display port. It worked well. However, I tried plugging it a headphone and the whole thing goes crazy , making ticking sound. I returned it a few days after. It also overheard, extremely hot to the touch, burning your finger reference .. I ended up buying a external hub for $300 hyperdrive and that works much better.

Good quality but did not work for me
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it to use with MacBook Pro 2020. Main purpose was to connect the monitor. Neither charging nor monitor worked with my computer. I had to return it. Not recommended for MBP 2020

Not a great fit for my 2020 MacBook Pro
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The USB-C port does not work with my USB-C Verbatim memory stick. It does not like my Kingston memory sticks either. So, I have to plug them into the second port on my MacBook Pro (I only have two) and the the HyperDrive cable doesn't fit well. Also, memory cards for my camera seem to require more than a usual amount of force to insert them into the unit. Otherwise, the HDMI and normal USB ports work well. I have not tested ethernet out...

Expensive but functional
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overpriced - I think this is the kind of product you buy out of necessity rather than shop around and find though. Perfectly functional however.

Great pecs but overheats
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the number of ports available, but with just two usb 3.0 ports used, the product gets pretty hot. Would not buy again ..

HDMI doesn't work well with MacBook Pro
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HDMI port doesn't work well with MacBook Pro... Video fails entirely unless audio is routed separately through the MacBook speakers or headphone out, and then is jittery.

Hypedrive. More like Hypodrive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It appears to be good to connect the lan line as I need it for work; however, the connection is not great. If I am online for more than 30 minutes, the device malfunctions and disconnects me from the internet. I literally have to disconnect it and reconnect it to restart. It's my assumption the MG/BYTES/RAM or whatever the computer terminology is isn't strong enough to keep the connection.

$20 reader held up better than this
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for less than a year and it no longer works. Every other card reader I have connects to my computer just fine and this lights up when plugged in, but no matter what I do will not read the card. No damage to it, just suddenly stopped working.
