Initially I did not take a hard surface pad for anything special, however this one has two sides to it. a "Fast" and a "textured" side. Both have their usefulness and surprisingly it makes a difference when i'm aiming in FPS games at least from first glance. Though, precise aim seems to be a more granular thing with sniper rifles among other weapons too. The only real bad side to this is the fact it doesn't have multiple color options. No not RGB just like a white, or gray option

I was looking for a new mouse pad and ran across this one at my Best Buy store. I liked the idea of the larger size so I bought one. Turns out that this is an awesome mouse pad. The extra space is great for video editing and the rubber non slip pads are perfect. Definitely recommend this for anyone needing more mouse real estate and hate a pad that slides around. This is perfect!

Something drew me to this product. We're stuck at home using a variety of surfaces as our work-at-home stations. My office desk must have a decent surface because my mouse worked "okay". At home it is flaking out. Trying to click the correct areas resulted in links I didn't want to follow, words I didn't want to select, and a few accidentally deleted emails. So I thought a decent mousepad would fix the problem. Turns out this mousepad has supercharged my mouse! The first thing I did was find the Cursor Speed setting to slow it down. The "Speed Surface" is a nice smooth working surface and the mouse responds very well to what I want it to do. The "Control Surface" has a slight texture to it. The mouse behaves very precisely on this side of the mousepad. I bet I could count the pixels on my screen using this mousepad. I may sound weird describing it this way, but I'm not a gamer and I never understood what a gaming mousepad was. Now I understand. This is precision. I don't know if the materials coating the sides of the pad will last, but if I end up having to replace this once a year, I'll do it.

Excellent for all gaming needs. Our son takes it anywhere he takes his computer.

This pad is a top quality product. The width and length function well and the pads on both sides keep the pad in place during use. Exceeds my expectations.

If you are into gaming or drawing or do precise moves is great, otherwise may be expensive

It's spacy and easy to operate with two mice. Good mouse pad. I like it. No complains.

We were looking for a large mouse pad and this is perfect.

The Insignia gaming mouse pad is awesome, both sides can be used. One side is slick and slippery for speed the other side is more course for control.

Previously, the glide strips bottom of my Apple Magic Mouse 2 would quickly become coated with a film from my desk's work surface, causing resistance to movement across that surface. As a result, I was cleaning those glides daily. (Cleaning the desk surface itself made no difference.) A fabric mouse pad I first tried also offered resistance to movement. This Insignia product has a textured yet hard surface that the Apple mouse glides across surprisingly well, with no contamination buildup on those glides. I used the "speed surface" side, which has only a slight texture, for the first few weeks . . . it worked OK. I then flipped it over with the "control surface" side (which has a coarser texture) facing up, and WOW, its almost like the Apple mouse is gliding across a sheet of ice, and with great cursor tracking. I do not game on my computer, but for my purposes, this Insignia Gaming Mouse Pad is a great match to the Apple Magic Mouse 2.

Bought for the Son but I tried it with him upon getting it out of the package. The non-slip grip on both sides is great and works like a charm. The size is perfect also as it is bigger than the average mouse pad but not overwhelming.

It has rwo surfaces. It stays put where you set it. Sturdy and its easy to wipe clean. Really good build.

Like I how it has 2 sides for preference. One for precision and one for speed.

Using my laptop while traveling was relatively irritating. I hate using touch pads, so I have a wireless mouse. A regular mouse pad works just fine when I'm sitting at a desk in my room, but using it while sitting up in bed was pretty much worthless. The sales person at BB recommended the Insignia mouse pad, and I've been using it ever since. I just slide it behind my laptop in my backpack, and it's always there and always welcomed.

So I use a apple magic mouse and the more expensive Fellows mouse pad died after a year, the mouse had trouble reading it. This was the only decent mouse pad in stock and I really wasn't that crazy about buying it to be honest, but I did anyway. I have to admit this is a great pad, great design and so far a winner and I do a lot of photoshop so a good mouse pad is sanity for me.

It’s ALMOST perfect. I bought this because I was tired of my mouse pads becoming difficult to clean, I now use one of these at home and the office and it’s been great. It’s just the feel of a rubber pad (for me) can’t quite be beaten. But it was still a great buy imo.
