I purchased this product to not only scan slides and film, but also small pictures. That is what excited me about this scanner.

Very versital. Copies photos better than my scanner. Wish it would completely scan old Instamatic square slides.

This scanner was very easy to use. I didn't open the booklets at all, there was no need. It's compact and fits right on my desk top without having to move anything. The viewfinder seems to have color correctness. The adjustment settings and such seem to mimic anything on my Mac. The only thing I'm missing is a 220 and 110 film holder, and a picture holder that will work with the 3x3 square pictures my mother and her mother have from the 70's and 80's. Also, I have transparency film and other film sizes that I need an inexpensive film scanner for. But this will do for now.

This unit was an excellent choice for us! It is fully self-contained. Scan anywhere you have A/C power direct to a mem chip or with a USB cable, direct to your hard drive. The color preview monitor is also a great feature and allows you to skip duplicates or unwanted pics while scanning.

It's usable, all tasks are doable but everything seems a little cumbersome from the individual holsters for each size of photo to one for negatives to one for slides. In all fairness, I'm not sure there's an easier way to do it other than laying photos on a photo scanner which doesn't solve the negative and slide issue. Fortunately, it produces decent output. For the money, it's reasonable.

I purchased the first one in Ohio and brought it with me to Florida but it failed after about 300 slides. The local Best Buy doesn't carry them so I order another by phone at the Ohio store. It was shipped without damage. It worked fine. I need to return to the original store with the first scanner and perhaps we can have an adjustment made.

Pretty easy to use. Glad it works without a computer. Just what I hopped for. Be careful if your old photo us a little torn and too small cause it might drop in but don't worry its not lost forever. Tweezers will get it out

It takes a little time working with it, learning how to make the edit adjustments, but once you have the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Not the fastest process in the world, but since the slides or photos would be sitting in a closet, it's worth the effort. I had fun viewing family pics going back to the late 1940's.

A most excellent piece of equipment for me as a photographer with 1000s of slides and prints from the "olde" days. Easy to use for anyone. It has become a most valuable tool for my photography hobby. "Doc" Watson

Beats taking loads if slides to the camera stores to put in disk. I tried that and 199 were $100 So for the price it is great It will take 5 years to get 500 scanned and on disk but with the economy all we have left is a little money and lot of time. Keep it fair!
