This Roomba is amazing. Very easy to setup out of the box and get going. The tank system has the clean and dirty water containers, as well as the bagged Hepa filter for emptying itself. Initial setup is done through the app from priming the system for its first run and performing the mapping of your home. Mapping of your home does not take long at all, but will vary by the size of your home. Once done, the system will perform its first cleaning and from there you’re off to a nice healthy start with automated home cleaning. The supply tanks are large to clean your entire home without having to refill. As the unit cleans your home, it returns home (its base) as needed to clean the mops pads, as well as empty itself when needed. The first cleaning does take quite a bit to clean your home as it verifies the map and updates as needed. The more the unit is used, the more familiar with your home it becomes and performs cleaning very well. There is an extra set of mop pads that are easily swapped after cleaning as they use a Velcro system. The bot is controlled through the app and everything you need to know and do is done within the app. The one main thing I have seen change is the loudness of the robot, it is now quitter than it had been in the past with previous models. The iRobot has done some initial redesign of the robot as it is smaller than it was before. Going back to the home automation piece, we have ours setup to clean through out the day when no one is around and just after our evening meal to ensure the house stays clean. We do our own deep cleaning based on our schedule. Overall, we are very happy to say this is a highly worthwhile investment for our family due to how busy we are at times and this helps out a lot.

This is great, keeps the house clean, maps out the whole house, and you cam pick and choose what areas you want to clean. Has different setting for tougher cleaning, to just vacuum, or vacuum and mop. My wife loves it.

So far so good. The mapping of the areas was a bit time consuming, I will say how smart this thing is, it switches the way it vacuums according to the height of the areas (carpet heights) The only negative things I see already is the mopping. You are very limited to what kind of cleaning liquids you can use, unfortunately it does not allow me to use my regular cleaning solutions. Settling for water might not do the trick. (I have luxury vinyl wood like planks) It is also VERY loud when it is cleaning out the vacuum bag. If I would have known more about the limited cleaning solutions you can use, I would have bought the regular Roomba instead of the combo.

This Roomba has made life so much easier. It vacuums and mops at the same time and does a really good job picking up hair, crumbs, and dust. The AutoWash dock is amazing and helps keep maintenance simple. It maps the house well and avoids most obstacles. It is not totally quiet, but it keeps the floors clean and that matters more.

The Roomba 405 has been a fantastic addition to our home. Its strong suction, reliable LiDAR navigation, and dual spinning mop pads make everyday cleaning effortless. I love that it automatically lifts the mop pads on carpets and returns to the dock to wash and dry them—everything stays fresh without any extra work from me. The mapping is quick and accurate, and the app makes it easy to target specific rooms or schedule cleanings. Overall, it’s a smart, efficient, and genuinely helpful robot that keeps our floors looking great with minimal effort.

The iRobot Roomba 405 is a good all in one vacuum and mop. The mopping function does not stop automatically on carpet and the Lidar sensor stops the vacuum from going under certain items such as hutches/buffet tables, not because it sense them but because it hits them. Overall it is a good vacuum, does a nice job mopping when selecting deep clean mode.

I love the ease of use on this product. It works decently well and has a lot of features i enjoy. The only downside is how clunky and loud it can be ive had errors on this device of mop heads tangled and when i pick it up there is nothing there. Also the loud empyting of bag and mop head cleaning is a great feature if you have this in a room you won’t be in. I love the ease of spot cleaning my house until im ready to mop myself but ive had times when i program it to do my Bathroom and hallways and when i walk in my babthroom after the job is finished there is still dust and it has visibly not been mopped. All in all use this for cleaning your house until you need a deep cleanse great timesaver.

Overall I am pleased with this product. It does a pretty good job of both vacuuming and mopping for my use case. I have mostly hardwood floors with some area rugs. I can set it to vacuum and mop and it does a pretty good job of detecting when and where to mop. The vacuum is a little on the noisy side, so having it run at night while trying to sleep is a bit of a stretch. Its my first vacuum that maps the house, overall I'd say it does a good job, coverage is good.

We absolutely love it. I have to say I’m very impressed with the technology because I’ve had these robots before. However, this one definitely cleans the floors. The app is a little tricky but once you figure it out, it runs perfectly smoothly. It doesn’t bump into stuff. It doesn’t go off wondering it actually cleans the floors.

I recently upgraded to this unit, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I have two dogs, and this robot does an incredible job picking up all the small debris, pet hair, and dust that used to build up daily. The suction power is strong, the navigation is smart, and the mop function leaves the floors spotless and streak-free. It’s made keeping my home clean so much easier—definitely worth the upgrade and highly recommended for pet owners!

Less work for me and cleaner floors, this Roomba is powerful and cleans great. Love the dual vacuum and Mop feature. It is a bit loud like a vacuum, but tolerable

I bought this as I’ve had a roomba i3 but wanted something that can mop, let me tell you this thing is perfect. Cleans and detects objects well with the Lidar, I was kind of unsure about the mopping but it did a phenomenal job and my floor is squeaky clean. I’m happy with this purchase and recommend it

I've owned this robot vacuum for about a month -- it provides a high quality clean and the robot itself is very well-made. With a baby constantly dropping food and a dog tracking dirt inside, it saves me a significant amount of cleaning time on a daily basis. As some reviewers have mentioned, it returns to the dock during a clean multiple times, but this doesn't bother me. I haven't noticed any issues with the object avoidance feature. I've had it navigate around items like floor mats that aren't part of the map. The app could use some enhancements - I'd love to see a cleaning history log and an easier map creation feature. Personally, once I stopped focusing on perfecting the maps, I started enjoying this vacuum a lot more. It's been a great addition to my daily routine.

Amazing! Cleans so well and easy to leave it for days to let it work on its on. I couldn’t go back to the original room a if I tried.

Does a nice job, not perfect....but it's not human! Great help in maintenance of floors with two large dogs tracking in. expensive...

Best thing I ever purchased! With dogs and kids this thing does the cleaning that I am unable to do! Easy setup, the mapping isn't hard to do at all. Took it out picked my spot to place the station and away she goes. Also it's very handy to connect her to Alexa , I just tell Alexa to tell her to clean. Now for the cons: the station only allows me to go 2 days without refilling mop water and the emptying dirty water , I use it daily. I should have upscaled to another model, also the girl does not sense cords, I will not run her at night, she's to loud. Thanks Roomba! U are invaluable

Initially was not picking up loose dirt/crumbs on the hardwood floor. Started to disassemble to prepare to return and then realized that it was significantly clogged. After I manually removed debris blocking the system, I decided to give it another chance. Worked like a charm after that.

This has truly changed my life. With 4 dogs and 3 kids you can only imagine the amount of time I spend vacuuming and mopping my floors. It’s user friendly, easy to set up for even the non-tech savvy. We love it, I would recommend it to anyone.

Was very surprised with how easy it was to set up and use. Cleaned all the baseboards and very minimal bumping into things and rubbing on thing like older models.

One of the best vacuum cleaners and mops, it cleans very well, and I've tried three different ones. The battery life is very good, and it includes artificial intelligence when cleaning each room.
