The very basic robot vacuum. I returned it and upgraded to one that has more features

Testing out the iRobot Roomba Vac Essential Robot (Q0120) was entertaining. This little fella is a doer and will get the job done. Out-of-the-box setup is simple while utilizing the iRobot Home app, provided you know and understand that the product will not synchronize over a 5GHz network. We did name ours, which was a fun thing. The app will allow the user to operate this Roomba via commands to Google Assistant, Alexa, or Siri; an additional setup was required. I think you could rate this device a couple of different ways, and like the connectivity, I would want the end-user to understand what they are buying and make sure it is a good fit for their domicile. This Roomba Q0120 is a good, not excellent, fit for our home. But we will come back to the negative. The positive is that the unit works well, is crafted extremely well, and will methodically clean any area into which it can get. The product had advanced sensors that allow the unit to effortlessly maneuver around furniture and avoid falling from the likes of stairs. The compact size is an innovative way to lessen the likelihood of getting wedged under furniture while producing the chance that the Roomba will be able to get under most average-height-sized furniture. The Roomba boasts a long battery life and will return home to charge. The packaging said the Roomba would run for approximately 120 minutes on a single charge. This length of time is altered by the ability to choose between three different suction speeds. Low, which is also the quietest and best, in my opinion, on tile & wood floors that do not require anything more than maintenance cleaning. Medium which is the best mix of power to suction ratio and will give the unit about an hour and a half of operating time. Then lastly, high, which is the best vacuum performance but at the cost of noise level and battery life. Any one of the three will fill the debris pan located underneath the unit. The pan comes with a conveniently stowed hook with a blade tool to help combat the hair and string build-up that is around the brush. The unit will clean in an organized back and forth until it finds an obstacle, and then it circles back and forth until it runs out of juice. However, if you need attention paid to one spot in particular, you can place the unit directly in that spot, and it will provide a controlled cleaning of only that area. Now, the negative: I struggle with how to rate this unit since it does do a superior and excellent cleaning job. The constraints of the app and unit, though, might hold it back in some consumer's eyes, hence my comment about knowing what you are buying. The internal ad even refers to this unit as potentially a second Roomba for homes with differing areas, such as a multistory home. Stand alone as one and only unit; the best I could give would be a three-star rating. The unit will, I swear, find every cord you have on the floor and get stuck. The unit is not controllable and does not appear to have a memory of where it performed last. This device is just not meant for a house with animals that shed, and emptying the bin becomes a pain when you are constantly cleaning hair off the spindle brush. Then, finally, unless you have it on low, the unit operates at a sound level loud enough to tell what room it is in, even while watching TV with the volume set fairly high. That said, I am reviewing this unit as someone who knew what they were getting and have provided it with four stars. In conclusion, the iRobot Roomba Vac Essential Robot Vacuum (Q0120) is a wonderful addition to a modestly neat and tidy house. The vacuum offers excellent performance, a user-friendly interface, and an autonomous cleaning solution to your cleaning routine.

I’ve owned the 600 series before and loved it. I purchased two of these for my parents to try out and I can tell you they’re awful. It never fully cleans a room, frequently missing spots. Even if I close the door it will miss under furniture and things of that sort. Because of the lack of mapping, it doesn’t know where to go and doesn’t clean the house as well as the advanced ones. Would not recommend the cheaper models.

This vacuum needs to have a remote control It is inconvenient to use and it only has 2 directions to go either in a circle or part ways on a room rug 7X9. I don’t like it and rarely use it. It was a waste of money.

This Roomba did not perform as I expected. It was very noisy when it crossed over the tiles on the floor. I expected a better clean then it did as well. It was returned.

I'm done purchasing iRobot robot vacuums. This has to be one of the dumbest robot vacuums they've made to date, and I've unfortunately have purchased some of their dumb ones. It maps the house, but pretty sure it's mapping where to get stuck every time it runs. Nothing has been moved, nothing has changed, it just goes directly to its favorite stuck places. Had it for a month and it still hasn't figured anything out. Waste of money and time.

This was a really bad Best Buy experience!! Beware, Best Buy has a terrible return policy, only 14 days!!!!!! I thought I had 60 days but apparently you have to pay a subscription fee for that “privilege.” A privelage Amazon provides for free. I thought I was doing a good thing shopping at supporting a local brick and mortar store, but never again!!!! Because, what’s the point? The manager was not friendly and no one is willing to work with me, not even for a store credit. Awful!!

Great choice for a basic robotic vacuum. Simple assembly!

Worst vacuum ever, it just goes in circles, I had to reboot it once already and got messed up again

This Roomba has been terrible. It randomly will not charge on the dock and becomes disconnected to the WiFi. Also the app necessary for most of it's functions is constantly crashing. Unfortunately, this has fallen outside of the very short return window allowed by Best Buy

Who ever designed this model or the software creator! Are nothing compared to sadness!!

50/50 brushes not working properly.its help a little bit to clean our house.
