The trial and error of buying 2 other brands Sony and Trelab 1st. These Jaybirds by far beat them other 2 brands out. Great for workouts (weightlifting)/ jogging

Purchased the grey ones for my girlfriend because she tried to take mine! She absolutely loves them and she always hated other headphones like this. Sweat and waterproof, excellent call and sound quality and music quality is some of the best I've heard from in ear headphones. Even if you don't use these for working out I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

These headphones stay in place when running and are great to workout! The really do charge fast. The only negative comments are that in order to skip song you have to really push earplug into your ear and when incoming calls happen, only the right ear device works. Sometimes there is disconnecting issues so you have to place them in box and connect them again. Overall, they are good, stay put headphones for working out.

Ok...so as far as sound quality go this head set is on point with the high end Bluetooth earbuds and the apps customizable equalizer is great, but the overall experience has been lack luster to say the least. Once I really started using these on a day to day basis I noticed that the left earbud would loose connection to the right earbud quite often, especially if I was moving around. Then (on my Note9) if I left them in the charger for a day or two with no use, I would have to re-sync them with the phone. On my iPhone (XS Max) the app wont sync to them at all, the phone will connect to them, and I can listen to the music, but I have no customization of the units. Also battery is only meah, maybe 2 hours of steady listening off of a full charge.

Comfortable and great sound quality. Not good to wear while watching videos. There is a lag between voice and videos. Their homepage addresses this due to maintaining the quality. I would recommend strictly for exercising and listening to music.

trying these Jaybird - RUN XT Sport right out of the box was not a good fit for me. Luckily they come with several choices of ear cones and fins that can be changed to fit your ears. I have tried several combinations of cone and fin and cannot find the perfect fit. The cones either fit to tight where my ears feel like they are going to pop or to loose where they feel like they will fall out of my ear. I am currently using the #1 cone with the #3 fins and even though they haven't fallen out while walking and exercising I constantly find myself pushing on them because they feel loose like they could fall out. Maybe I have strange ear sizes but I will continue to adjust til I find the perfect fit. Sound quality is what you all want to know about so I will say the Jaybird - RUN XT Sport puts out great sound. I listen to music from country to rap and they all sound amazing. Music with deep bass comes through clear and deep and lower bass more vocal music also comes through neat and clean with these earbuds. There is an app which allows you to change settings for different sounds and music but I found the levels right out of the box were set just fine with me. These are very easy to charge with the including carry case/ charging station. They advertise a charge lasting up to 4 hours but I haven't come close to wearing these earbuds that long and have never used up all the battery life. the other nice ting is the carry case holds a charge so if you are out with no place to charge your buds , just inserting the buds into the case will charge them a couple of times before the case runs out of life. The control buttons are a little hard to use. You must push the buttons on the outside of the buds to answer calls, change the volume, skip songs, and pause music. its not a soft touch button either and must be pushed with a little force. So for me who has a hard time with fit I hate changing music or answering calls because the buds get pushed more into my ear and I have to readjust every time after pushing a button. When out for a walk I just let my playlist play and dont answer calls to avoid any movement after I get it in a position I like and it feels comfortable. These may just take more time to get used to because my last wireless buds had a wire that went behind my neck which gave me a little security that if the a bud fell out of my ear it wouldn't hit the floor and possible break. I am going to have to learn to trust the fit and stop fidgeting with them.

There is no match for these earbuds! I've owned Jabra, Powerbeats, JVC, and these are all out to shame by the Jaybird Run XT. The EQ app is phenomenal and the sensitivity is unreal. I listen to my music at 50% and it's CRISP. I swear profusely while I workout and the earbuds hold put no matter what activity. My wife will be getting a pair.

My first Jaybird product and I was so impressed with them I went out and bought a pair for my girlfriend. I've had a love hate relationship with this design of headphones, but these I absolutely love. They're comfortable in my ear and they don't fallout. This is first set of in ear headphones my girlfriend has used and actually liked! The music quality is some of the best I've heard from in ear headphones and sound quality from calls is easily on par with any of its competitors. With the Jabra app you can customize the sound or use one of the preset EQ settings. One thing I love about them is when you pull one headphone out of your ear the music doesn't stop playing. Some people may not like this but I personally do. It's especially handy when you're on a call and have to pull an ear bud out to talk to someone, the sound doesn't switch back to your phone like some competitors will do. It still uses Bluetooth 4.1 but I've had no connectivity issues wether the phone is in my back pocket or it's in the other room 25 feet away. If I had any knocks it would be they're not Bluetooth 5.0, no usb-c and you can't use the left by itself. They're priced right in the sweet spot of the market and the price is justified, they're worth the money! Even though I've never had any issues with my other headsets with sweat while working out, it's nice knowing these are certified sweat and waterproof. Comfortable fit, great sound and call quality, waterproof and excellent battery life (5 minute charge gives 1 hour of playback). If you're someone that hasn't accepted that headphone jacks are dead, when you finally do, the Jabra Run XT Bluetooth headphones should be on your short list when you finally cut the cord!

    Great sounding earbuds.

So the earbuds are quite nice. The sound on them is very good, better than I anticipated. They're not without fault though. Audio wise they're perfect. These will be great for any user who loves lot's of bass in their music. They do pretty good on the highs too. The Mids seemed fine to me with a wide range of music. There is an app that does allow you to alter the EQ which is a big plus in my book. I've had several different models of earbuds and app's are not always available, or sometimes the app itself lacks audio customization. The biggest issue I found with these was the earpieces. I tried each of the sizes and I just could not find a comfortable set, nor did they help to keep the earbuds in my ear's. Now your mileage may vary and these could fit your ears and usage perfectly, but for me I do not have any faith that during any movement based activity that they will remain in my ears. Aside from that one issue the earbuds are great. I like the charging case and I like that there's a voice prompt when you open the case so you know they're ready to be paired or that they're on. The case itself works like several other wireless earbud cases where it has an internal battery and can charge them to give you some more listening time before they run dry. I didn't test the maximum life of these but I'd venture to say around 50% volume you can get around 3 hours, maybe more. With the case charge included I'd say 10 or so hours. If you're looking for a great sound pair of earbuds, give these a shot. As I said though, the earpiece's are hit or miss so these may be a strike out for you.

The first things I noticed that I really like is; ~ The case closes with a click and doesn't accidentally open on me ~ There are charge indicators on the outside front of the case so I know the status of both the right, left and the case. ~ Pairing with my LG V30 was a breeze ~ Several options to fit the ear, but the ones that were pre-installed are perfect for me. When I put them in my ear I knew they were snug because there's a little hook that goes into the front crevice of the ear, once that's inserted I just pushed it securely into my ear canal. Also, and the best thing is, it has a downloadable app that allows me to tweak the way my music sounds. Call sounds are great, so far no complaints of wind or ambient outside noises on voice calls. The overall feel when I'm wearing the earbuds are very comfortable. I like these much better than another pair I own. And yes I would recommend these to friends!

These sound great and fit me great. I've tried so many kinds of earbuds over the years and have yet to find a pair that fit comfortably until now. Even the professional in ear monitors were uncomfortable. Perhaps I've an odd ear or ear canal because earbuds just never fit me well, I'm always adjusting them, they hurt, they don't seal well... These, using the tips and fins that were installed, fit perfectly and are comfortable. The soft tips, instead of fitting in my ear canal, fill the opening outside the ear canal and perfectly seal to reduce outside noises. I've worn these for close to three hours with no discomfort whatsoever. These have a great full range response with much fuller bass than I expected from a bud. The app has several EQ (customizable) presets which makes it easy to adapt to different music styles, there are also tons of downloadable preset EQs. I've had quite a few earbuds that just aren't loud enough at my phones max volume (OK, I know the phone makers limit the volume to avoid lawsuits) but these do fine, I've never maxed out the phone volume. I love these and have not one complaint!

I will start by saying that I was an early adopter of the AirPods and have loved them from day one. My only gripe with them is that they are not waterproof and they do not feel entirely stable in my ears. For those reasons only, I wanted to give the Jaybirds a shot. These headphones are nicely packaged with easy to read instructions. The headphones come in a charge case and paired with my iPhone in seconds. Battery life is very good and I appreciate that the battery percentage shows in the phones shortcuts. I downloaded the Jaybird app so I could customize my experience and have a few things I would like. First, there should be more options and variations for the button controls. Unlike the AirPods, you have to hit a physical button, not just a tap. I would also like more preprogramed EQ settings. It took me awhile to get the EQ setting that I looked. The sound was pretty terrible at the default setting...very tinny, but I have them set now with the low's set high and mid's and high's set very low. The phones come with various ear tips and plastic pieces that hold them in the ear securely. I went with the smallest tip and the plastic piece that came with my pair and they feel great in my ears. Music and Howard sound very nice on Sirius and they were great at the gym. They never moved in my ears and sweat getting on them is not an issue. They work well with the Apple Watch as well so I can change songs and volume there. There is not a way to skip songs on the headphones, very odd. They do not stop playing when taking them out of the ear as well, they have a timer that shuts them down after 30 seconds. There are just things that you get used to with the AirPods and it's hard to get used to anything else. Overall, I like these headphones a lot for my workouts, but they do not compare to the AirPods in both sound, convenience and comfortability. These will be my goto choice for runs, workouts and rainy days.

    True Wireless, Comfortable, Music/Call Headphones

Sweat and Waterproof with a 4-hour play time and quick charge case providing 2 full charges, the Jaybird RUN XT is a true wireless headphone; and with the many interchangeable cushioning parts it becomes a true wireless sports headphone. It took a couple of adjustments for me to find the right silicone ear gels (oval and round available) and fin, but when I did, I found these to be very comfortable and secure in my ear. There are four choices to choose from. The headphones paired easily with my iPad, iPhone and iWatch and are made to be compatible with any Bluetooth device including iPod touch, Android, Windows, Blackberry, Android Wear Smartwatches, PC, Mac and gaming devices. After pairing, I downloaded the Jaybird app which I found to be extensive. It not only has a feature to help you find your Jaybirds if needed, but it also allows full customization for listening preference with the use of an EQ. There are also 8 presets and 12 different genres from which to choose. The app offers ongoing podcast from runners which also helps make it an interactive, current app. The charging case is compact and gives two full recharges to your earbuds. The percentage of charge left is announced when you place the earbuds in your ears, and they are turned on. Five minutes of charging provides 1 hour of playing time. The earbuds start charging as soon as you place them in the charging case and close the lid. When the green LED pulses, the earbuds are charging and when it turns solid green, the earbuds are fully charged. They are marked as either left or right. A better design feature would have been to attach the charging cord permanently to the case. This design makes it something else to keep up if I charge the case other than in my home office. But I do like the feature that if the buds are removed and not placed immediately in the charging case, they will automatically turn off within 30 minutes. Controlling the earbuds is also easy. Removing them from the case will turn them on and returning them to the case will turn them off. They can also both be manually turned on or off. Manually turning them both off can be done by pressing for 3 seconds on either bud, whereas a single press on each bud will turn them on (not jointly as the off button works). The feature I like most about these headphones is that it is so easy to take calls and control music on the run. There is a built-in microphone in the right earbud and when making or receiving calls, the right earbud switches to single or mono mode. I really like this feature because I am most often multi-tasking. The button on the left can activate Siri or Google Assistant with a single press. A single press on the right bud will play/pause/accept or end a call. A simple double press on the right bud will skip forward or decline a call. These are very simple commands to offer such convenience. After I had used the earbuds for a few days, I was in an area where surrounding technology caused them to lose their Bluetooth pairing and when I re-paired them to my phone, I seemed to have minimal but noticeable distortion and audio issues. I did a hard reset once and a soft reset once which seems to have eliminated all the problems. The soft reset is simple to execute and only requires that the right earbud be placed into the charging case and the lid closed. When the case is reopened, the soft reset has been performed. A hard reset involves turning the right earbud off for 3 seconds, then holding that button down for six seconds until the LED flashed green. After this the button must be pressed twice. The LED will then flash orange and the earbud will turn itself off. At this point the earbuds have been totally reset. So, if you run into any issues at all, you should perform a soft, and possibly a hard reset. This should allow you to receive the quality performance that these are designed to deliver. To pair the earbuds to different devices, I was able to do so by following the first two steps of the hard-reset process and following the voice prompt. I would recommend these. They stay securely in my ears and are very comfortable and easy to use. The headphones do lack any noise cancelling, but with the low harmonic distortion of 5%, the stereo sound is still premium.

Great sound for compact wireless design

For the size and added features, these ear buds put out a very intense sound with a high exterior noise canceling effect. While the music was playing at a reasonable level, virtually all outside sounds were canceled out. Even with no audio playing, it's difficult to hear surrounding noises. Which is a plus in most cases, however I found myself constantly removing one bud to talk to people. These ear buds can be used in tandem, or just the right bud. Each has it's own power button. If you download the app, you can monitor each pieces battery level, and select from preset EQ settings, or customize your own. The app can even be linked to Spotify where you can listen to other workout playlists, or your own. The buds fit perfectly into my ear, out of the box, however they come with additional size adapters to accommodate virtually any ears size. The big plus is that these are completely waterproof (IPX7) and sweatproof , so no more worries about how to handle them during a long workout. Which also makes it easier to clean them. They still don't recommend swimming in them, as they are only rated for about 1 meter of water for 30mins or less. The battery life is about 4hours on a full charge, but the awesome part is that with just a 5minute charge you can get an hour worth of play. The included carry case is the best accessory for these buds, not only do the buds fit easily into them but they also charge right from the case. The case has it's own battery system for the buds to charge from. The case when fully charged can handle 2 full recharges to the buds. So that means when everything is fully charged you can get 12hours of playback, until needing a plug in from the wall. The buds can also be used to answer phone calls, or initiate the google assistant with a single tap to the right ear bud. With the addition of an ambient noise feature these buds would be perfect, but very pleased and impressed with them as is. -- also, just as a side not, at this time I have not experienced any connectivity issues, which use to be a problem on earlier models.

Great wireless buds with same Jaybird sound!

So recently I needed a discreet option for wearing headphones, and I began researching options on who would have the best wireless buds. Of course there are Bose, Beats, Raycons, etc. so the field is endless. It greatly depends on what your criteria is, and what you truly want from your wireless bud experience. Since I already have Jaybirds, I decided upon the Run XT since I wouldn't need another app. That was my first determining factor. Next, YouTube reviews assisted me in purpose since I wanted a bud that wouldn't fall out. These XT's are perfect for an active purpose since they are really light and comfy. As always with Jaybird, extra fins are included to customize fit, but ironically since these buds are actually bigger to accommodate battery, the shape is different, so you can't use the same style fins if you're a Jaybird user. I ended up user the stock fit, which have been great for my ears. Amazon reviews have mentioned audio lag, which is what prompted me to write a review since it was bringing down the XT rating drastically. I have no lag whatsoever, and I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with these and have no lag, no mismatch of sound to video. Also sound is exactly like my Jaybird Freedom, with perfect bass to treble based on what you're listening/watching. Some other factors which may help you is the right bud is master and left bud is slave. This means the right side controls auto features like on/off from case to ear. Once paired, each time you take out, it turns on, then you replace in case, it turns off. If you plan on using only one bud, you can have the right bud in ear and left bud in case, but if you have right bud in case, the left bud will not work. Because these buds are minimalistic, there is only one button which only has play/pause/track forward, but there are no volume controls. This has not been an issue as I actually do most listening with one bud. Although not a factor, some buds have the capability of downloading music to the buds for independent use, but I didn't need/want this option, so another factor to consider. The case is simple, and having a small battery charger like the Anker PowerCore + mini works perfectly if you want to boost the case, which chargers quickly thru micro USB. On occasion, the left bud drops out but syncs quickly. It happens rarely, but still wanted to include this to inform buyers. Overall, very happy with finding these, although you may want to check other platforms since might be cheaper elsewhere.
