Purchased this microwave about 6 months ago with a complete Kitchen Suite set. It not only looks fabulous it is very easy to operate. All of the controls are simple, clear and easy as they should be! You will love the inside. It is super large and even has a removable shelf to accommodate cooking 2 things at once. Also the flexibility of having a convection oven is great too! In my new kitchen I did not have the space to have a microwave and a double oven but with this beauty I have to say I don’t miss it at all!

This is the best microwave EVER! It heats very quickly. Touch functions work perfectly. Cooks beautifully and easy to use. No need for an "Einstein" guide book to operate it! The other brand I had lasted less than 2 years. It was plagued with problems. Not this Kitchenaid. It does everything efficiently and the way it is advertised. Use the convection feature all of the time. My range is a professional series, but I use this microwave convection bake all of the time. It saves energy and time. No need to heat up the big oven, I love my range too, don't get me wrong. But this convection microwave is perfect for smaller tasks. That's why I reinvested in it. Could never trust my other one at all! Easy to clean inside and out. I just can't say enough, especially after being burned by 2 other brands! KITCHENAID has done a great job. They even give you a steamer to use in it to steam your veggies.......and it works perfectly! I have baked scratch pies in it, roasted chicken in it, roasted potatoes in it and they all come out perfect. Thank you Kitchenaid for a great product and THANK YOU to my great Best Buy salesman, Marco. He was very patient and informative. Highly recommend Kitchenaid and Best Buy appliance sales!

When we began searching for a replacement microwave, I had only a few requirements on the list (after all it's something we've used for years to heat up stuff quickly). I wasn't looking for one that was also a convection oven. It has been very easy to pick-up on how to use it. My wife's first day she prepared a turkey breast using the convection feature (something I was skeptical about) and it was great. Frozen pizzas now go in here and are done faster than in either of our other (2) ovens. Cleans up very easily. We have ours vented through ducting outdoors and it works much better & quieter than our previous microwave. The tone that plays when it's done is a little on the quiet side (if that's a concern for some), although I find it more pleasant than the beeping our old one did. I can't speak to the long term reliability of this unit (only had it a few weeks). So, far it seems much more substantial in build quality than the previous one we had. My wife has been very happy with it. She says that the oven is more intuitive than our previous one. I initially was skeptical about purchasing something this feature rich (figured most of it wasn't necessary) but, after a few weeks of use.. it would be hard to go back to our old unit. Pleasantly surprised.

When we originally started looking for a microwave we were unaware of the option of having it also be a convection oven. So when we decided to buy a new appliance suite we started looking at Kitchenaid and wanted our microwave to match our fridge, dishwasher and range. The fact that this doubled as a microwave and an oven was amazing. We didn't have to compromise the size of the oven on our slide in range to try to get a model with two. We were able to get the standard oven size on our slide in and use this as a second/double oven instead. And boy does it deliver. We have baked and cooked in it and it does both just as well as our regular oven does. It is large on the inside and comes with racks for baking and a glass plate for microwaving. The microwave works great and the popcorn function is fantastic. It actually listens to the pops to keep your popcorn from getting burned. I was skeptical at first but it has worked perfectly everytime. It is features like that that show just how well thought out this product is. It's quiet, easy to operate, great to look at (the black stainless is amazing) and functions perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

    Roomiest Microwave I've Ever Used

Wow! This microwave is big inside. Biggest I've ever seen. The door encompasses the entire front of the appliance. I bought this model because all the touch controls are along the bottom edge on the front of the door. Makes life a tad easier for my wife who is in a wheelchair. Arrived well packed with no damage. This was a replacement microwave and the installation went well. The instructions were very clear and correct. Not hard at all. TIP: Don't even think about installing an over-the-range microwave by yourself! It takes two people. Overall, we really like this microwave. My favorite feature is how quiet it is. You have to be within a few feet to hear it running.

I am really happy with this purchase for our remodel. It is solid. It's very quiet. The only thing that I am not so happy with is cleaning it. When I clean the front of it, I can't lock all the buttons down. The light and the fan don't seem to lock and if you wipe over them they turn on and you then have to press the button five times to get the fan to shut off. Maybe I should pull out the book on this thing. I love it other than that. It works, but it isn't as powerful as my last microwave, but it is defintely better looking. It looks beautiful. We have had this 3 months. Some of the reviews I read said things about an open door message. When it says that hit the cancel button, and that message will go away if the door is in fact closed. Haven't had any issues with it, and my son uses it all the time.

The microwave itself isn't very powerful. It's only 100watts less powerful than our old microwave, but it takes almost twice as long to cook things...something seems amiss. The fan when using the convection oven is VERY noisy, which is annoying. The beeping sound when items are done cooking or via the timer is just way to soft...and it doesn't continue to go off until you turn it off...I don't like that. Overall we like it, we just don't love it...

The house we live is about 15 years old, we were still using the peace of junk Microwave installed by the builder, so it was time to replace it. This thing is very nice, very solid, does not look or feel cheap. My wife and I had fun install it, we had to modify a little bit the cabinet.

    Broken piece on inside door

Purchased this model to replace another KitchenAid microwave that was worn out! Loved it but after a few months I noticed the bottom right corner was slightly bent. The door shut normally but then I found a small black plastic piece that broke off from the bottom inside of door. Now the door seems to "stick" when I open it. Paid a lot of money for this and didn't expect it to fall apart so soon!

This KitchenAid microwave/ convection oven is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. This is the quietest microwave I've ever owned. And it is also the easiest one to use.it has all the bells and whistles and is very large inside. The hood fan has six different speeds which is very nice. It also has a sensor for popcorn the determines when all is popped. It's just a great product and I highly recommend it. You can tell it's a quality product well made and attractive.

Great Microwave fantastic exhaust fan & convection

This is a great combo convection microwave oven that has an exhaust fan that can't be beat. It is sturdy (our old LG literally fell apart after five years) that cost about the same and didn't even have the convection oven or an exhaust fan half as strong. The only complaint I have is its a little bigger than most (sticks out a bit, not a problem, and actually covers the stove better with the exhaust fan -- but did require me to enlarge the hole in the cabinets to install) and the exhaust fan on/off switch is not an on/off switch. It is a cycle thru fan settings 6,5,4,3,2,1,off button. Would be perfect if there was an on/of button and a speed setting button. This microwave is great because like other high end units it has a sensor cook/reheat that actually monitors how the cooking is going. And better yet, this sensor actually works (not like the old LG version). Convection oven works great especially if you are using your other ovens for a large meal and need to cook something else like bread or biscuits. It's large enough for a roast or even a turkey if you don't have an oven or don't have a double oven.

This is no ordinary microwave oven. With the convection baking it becomes a secondary oven during busy holiday times. With a clean and professional exterior that opens up to a spacious interior. Compared to my prior KitchenAid this unit is much quieter

I'm impressed with how well made this looks and feels compared to any other microwave I've owned. It also more expensive but I think it was well worth the money. It is so quiet I sometimes check twice to make sure it's on. The timer bell is quiet too. I wish that was a little bit louder but that's minor. The convection oven feature is what sold me on it and it works great so far. I've only used it to bake cookies, chicken fingers, and macarons. It didn't do so great on the macarons compared to my regular oven but the other stuff came out fine. I'm sure it will come in handy during the holidays. I don't know if I would try to cook a Turkey in it but for baking the side dishes, it will free up my oven for other things.

I love this microwave. It does a great job of cooking food both convection and microwave. Easy to use, easy to clean, looks good. I did have frustration since I never had an over the range microwave before. I had to have an electrician put in a plug and no one told me the plug is on top of the microwave so it does have to be in the overhead cabinet. I originally bought from Home Depot, they make you stay home to have the microwave delivered, then you have to stay home to have it installed, you can't pick the days or times. Anyway I ended up returning the microwave to Home Depot and took my business to Best Buy. Best Buy matched the price and was awesome to work with!!!

Its a great microwave and I believe Kitchenaid products are wonderful. However, this microwave has a lot of bells and whistles that I haven't really used. This is a lot of buck for not so much bang. Sure, it has a convection oven, but I am yet to use it. My new Kitchenaid stove also has a built in convection oven, which I do use. It seems that this microwave does take a little longer times to heat up food that my 65.00 microwave accomplished in shorter time. It is ascetically pleasing and I used it as a un undercounted microwave, but it is offset in the kitchen as I have a range hood. Overall a great addition to any kitchen, but if you're not going to be using the convection portion you may want to opt for the one that occasionally goes on sale and save yourself 400.00. Mind you it does look as nice, but its a much less expensive model.

What a great buy. After ours finally died we decided to get a larger microwave with the convection oven feature and settled on this one. The design is sleek and spacious and while only being slightly larger than our previous microwave (deeper and taller) it easily fitted the space above the oven. Because the controls are integrated on the door, it frees up more cooking space on the interior due to no control panel on the side. He microwave feature is great but my wife is in love with the convection oven and how thoroughly it heats food. This unit is very easy to operate. It is also surprisingly very quiet when operating. Even the beep tones are muted and the door closes almost silently and effortlessly. We were lucky to find a great deal at Best Buy and purchased it for lower the other retailers offered.

I had this installed a few weeks ago and so far I'm very impressed with it. It looks beautiful, it's very quiet and it reheats foods and liquids much quicker than the one I replaced it with. I have a lot to learn with this one though since it isn't just a microwave. The convection option, once I have it down, will be a great addition to my kitchen. I love everything KitchenAid makes, I have a KitchenAid dishwasher with the window in the door, and the 30" gas cooktop. Next on my list is their refrigerator. KitchenAid products look and perform as well as other higher end products available.

Love this thing. It's a large interior, quiet, and convection is a game changer when dual wall ovens is not an option. My only complaints so far is that the LCD color doesn't match the Kitchen Aid Wall Oven that sits right below it in my kitchen. (One is a blue color and the other is a green color, which seems like an oversight on Kitchen Aid's part) Also, there are not backlit buttons and it is very hard to read the buttons at night.

We purchased this to match our other appliances. It looks great and is quiet. We chose this model for the convection oven capability (which we have not used yet) and this model was also on sale at the time. There was a slight learning curve for cooking certain items for us compared to our old microwave - experimentation was needed with power levels and cooking times with a few items. The door is large which may bother some people, and the vent fan automatically turns on in high speed which then requires multiple touches to turn off (which can also be a negative). Overall, we are happy so far...
