Easy to use while making sauces.

Easy to use when working with food in pots that need to mix and mash up, such as sauces, and soups. Draw back is that it is not one piece, may have accident that it will not stay together, the removable shaft is not a convenience. Recommended with reservation?

It does have a decent amount of power and gets the job done but does have a few drawbacks. Metal bottom can not touch the bottom of a non-stick pan without scratching and plastic cover included in manual is not included in box. When I spoke to Kitchenaid they said it was a misprint and that they don't make a plastic cover that fits this model and so it can only be used with steel pans or holding it above pan without letting it touch the bottom. It is a slightly heavy and bulky product which feels a lot heavier after a few minutes of holding it 1/2" above a pan. Cord is average length and not good for anyone who doesn't have an outlet right near where you want to use it.

After a few sessions locks started breaking and sometimes cutting part falls out

First, it needed to be plugged while using it. Second, it said it could crush ice but I couldn't even slice/mash carrots.

My main critique is that it doesn't have a wisk which therefore needs to be purchased seperately for $20 +. In my book, that's too pricey.
