My Pros: - Great display, colors are vibrant, high brightness, anti-glare so it's usable outdoors, and good black levels/ contrast. - Good Performance from the Ryzen 5900HX . I do recommend you look into turning off turbo boost or changing power level settings with Ryzen controller while gaming in turbo mode. If not your CPU temps will be higher than they need to be (95c+) for little to no benefit in games. - Full Power 3050 TI GPU ( other slim laptops will often go with a low powered version instead) - Full-size SD card Slot - Empty full-size NVME SSD slot for adding more storage - Good Linux support, I installed Linux Mint on a second SSD I installed inside this laptop. I can easily use Windows or Linux when needed this way. - USB-C charging support - Lightweight and slim without feeling cheap. - Upgradable ram slot ( I wish it had 2 slots though!) - The privacy shutter for the webcam is nice - MUX Switch ( This should be standard on all laptops with a DGPU) My Cons: - The 3050 Ti is ok for most games but the 4GB of vram will keep you from playing many newer AAA games at 1440P or higher. (1080P games still look great on this screen). - Having all the USB-C ports on the right side is very odd. Since you will use them for video out and sometimes for charging having them on the right side where a mouse would be is beyond silly. The best spot would have been to place the USB-C ports at the back and move the standard-size USB ports to the side. - Fingerprints, this laptop grabs them like crazy. I'll probably buy a skin for the lid part because I dislike the greasy look. At this price point I think these laptops should have some kind of anti-smudge coating. - I'm not a fan of the offset touchpad, I prefer a centered touchpad but I understand with the numpad it kinda pushes things to the side. - 1 of the ram slots is soldered Overall I think this is a great laptop for photo/video editors that casually game. If your more of a heavy gamer but still want the slim design I'd consider the FHD version of this laptop with the RTX 3060 GPU over this one.

I have been choosing a laptop for a long time and stopped there. It is thin, comfortable and productive. I connect three monitors to it, play games, use a browser with many tabs, photoshop, video and audio processing programs. A great choice for these money. BUT, I had to return TWO laptops because they were damaged when they arrived to me.

The laptop itself is amazing. It runs very smoothly and I can multitask like crazy with a super bright screen, battery life is great considering how powerful the laptop is, keyboard is pretty comfy. I absolutely love the fingerprint login on the power button. It reads your fingerprint as soon as you press it to turn it on so you don't have to wait for it to finish starting up for it to work! A few reasons for the 4 star rating though: -My biggest issue is the power cable that came with the laptop. It works just fine, except that laptops (and subsequently their power cords) are literally built to be mobile/portable which means you will be wrapping and unwrapping the power cable many times. This has caused some severe breakage on the cable (picture attached to this review) and only a few months after buying this laptop I'm going to have to buy a $70+ replacement power cable soon. I've owned dozens of laptops over my life and have never had this issue before. -I have to disable the mouse pad when using the WASD keys for gaming or my palm hits the pad and causes unintended movements or actions. They offset the mouse pad to the left for the number pad I suppose. -The specifications when I bought the laptop on the Best Buy website said "Customizable Keyboard Lighting: RGB" when this is not the case, white is the only color available. Months after buying this and they still haven't changed that on the specifications page, but that may be more so on Best Buy than Lenovo. I was a tiny bit disappointed though.

So to be honest, i really had high hopes of keeping this laptop a long time. It worked well for almost a year until the motherboard failed. Thank goodness for Best Buy total tech because we live in a day and age now where these devices will not and are not designed to last more than 5 years. I have had many legion gaming laptops and feel like maybe this one just was a dud. Anyways, the graphics were amazing when it did work. Ive move onto desktop gaming pcs and got my eye on one of those 360hz 4k gaming monitors.

So far, so good. Purchased this Lenovo Legion about a month ago for the purposes of Data Analysis and Visualization, along with the occasional streamed movie. I’m not a gamer, but this laptop had majority of my requirements at a reasonable price point. Only dislike thus far is due to Windows 11 layout and not with the laptop itself. **Fast processing and calculations **Easily manages numerous applications on multiple (4 & 5) monitors **Screen is great and fast streaming capabilities **Keyboard is excellent in my opinion

Not sure if I just got a particularly bad model or if something happened before I purchased it (open box purchase from best buy) it keeps freezing and shutting down. Haven’t had it for long. Disappointed it’s not working because otherwise I would’ve really liked it! Did what I needed it to do otherwise (photoshop editing, etc).

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15 Gaming Laptop, Content Creator's Configuration, model number 82K80081US. Resetting the computer back to original factory setting may correct the issue you are having. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the USB-c ports on the right side of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Legion Ultimate Support for additional help at: 888-278-9707. Lenovo

Not a bad laptop so far. The good - it’s slick and slim, aesthetic and cool. Screen is crisp and clean and everything runs quick and snappy. I haven’t run any super demanding games but so far it meets expectations. I also haven’t felt it get too hot but once again, not running super demanding games yet. The meh - maybe minor complaints but I’d be happier with more USB ports. It has 2 on the back and 2 USB-C on the side. It’s not bad but I wish it just had more. The speakers aren’t awesome in my opinion. Everything just sort of sounds muffled. The trackpad feels touchy, so I hate using it without a mouse. It also had a weird blue screen crash issue the first day but I’ve had it now for about a week I believe and no further issues. It definitely concerned me out the gate like that. Also, I haven’t really timed it or anything but the battery does seem to drain rather quickly. As I said, I overall like this laptop. I feel like maybe it’s a little too pricey for what you get. I bet if I had searched around on the same budget I’d have found something better, but despite my harshness, I really don’t have much of an issue with this computer and rather enjoy it.

Let me start by saying the screen is stunning. Now this is my first 4k screen but compared to my friends laptops the screen is just so much more vibrant and bright. Its nice to look at and is great for video and photo editing. The keyboard to me felt great clicked nice and white backlight is my favorite. I only have a couple gripes about this laptop, that being the cooling, battery, and fingerprints. This thing gets HOT so gaming or intensive work might get uncomfortable, I might just not be used to laptops but it gets hot. The battery life is okay not great but it has usb-c 100w charging so you should be fine with a portable charger rated at 100w pd usb c fast charge. Lastly the black finish gets real dirty but with a microfiber cloth it comes out. Overall this is a great laptop to watch movies and work with and can do light to medium gaming on the side.

Ok, So i know what y'all are thinking, why would they pair a 4k display with a rtx3050ti? Im with you, but... If you reduce the resolution of the games to the point where they are playable (between 1080, and 1440p both ultra), it handles quite well. The Ryzen 9 has not left me in the dust yet, and has been snappy, even when i was installing a bunch of stuff all at once. Video editing is a breeze on this, and had no struggle rendering. Quite impressive considering my desktop doesn't do much better. Battery life is ehhh, but considering what it is packing underneath, not too shabby. Id say it averages 5 hours at full brightness. Backlit keyboard is a nice touch, but with spending the price, we'd hope it has one. Build quality is superb, and i mean that. When you pick the unit up, there are no creeks, no weird cracking noises of plastic. Its a solid weight, and the vents on the back help to keep the heat away from you. If you plan to use this as your main pc or gaming pc, I'd personally recommend a cooling rack to keep it cool. Back to the thing you all really want to know, gaming benchmarks! I have only ran a few so far, considering the storage situation, but the following are the ones i completed: Red Dead Redemption 2 - Ultra - 2560x1440 - AVG 67FPS Forza Horizon 4 - Ultra - 2560x1440 - AVG 95FPS Car Mechanic Simulator - Ultra - 1920x1080p - AVG 87FPS My advice is this. If you are looking for a better experience, as in enjoying the game more, id personally go with a laptop with a lesser resolution screen with a higher refresh rate. 60fps is still faster than older consoles (excluding current gen), but more fps is butter to the eyes. However, if you are mainly looking for a 4k display, with the capabilities of gaming if you reduce the graphics, then this is a really good option. Oh if the storage/ram scares you, they are both upgradable too. To me, this machine is a good buy for someone who needs something powerful on the go. Might not be the most powerful for gaming, but as an editing rig, aint to shabby. My only, and i mean only gripe about this pc is how massive the touch pad is. At times, its helpful, but most of the time i accidentally tap it. Its more or less a "me" thing, but developers, if you are listening! IF YOU PURCHASE THIS: -Delete all the Lenovo bloat-ware (Except Lenovo Hotkeys (So they work)) you really don't need it. -Enable HDR (Must be plugged in to use it, screen will go black, its normal) -uninstall Geforce Experience and download a clean install file from their website. When I tried to update the drivers, all it kept saying is "error". Clean install later and I was up to date. Thanks for reading, and hope it helps!

I was shopping laptops for something I could take on vacation to edit photos and maybe do some gaming and had it narrowed down to Lenovo, Asus, and Alienware. I wanted enough hardware to run Photoshop CC and Warzone effectively, but have decent battery life and a hefty hard drive. I stumbled across this model accidentally. The 4K screen and 10-key pushed it into my cart over the others. DISPLAY: The 4K is stunningly sharp and super bright. I've been running it at about 80%, which is plenty for all but the brightest environments. No complaints at all. KEYBOARD: The 10-key is pretty rare on a 15.6" laptop and is a big checkmark in my book. The white backlighting was also a must-have, as I prefer darker rooms for my editing. It's not a huge deal, but the specs led me to believe the keyboard was RGB. Numerous Reddit threads mention earlier models having the feature, too, so I went looking. I made sure the BIOS and Lenovo Vantage were up to date, yet no RGB controls exist; not even in the BIOS. I installed a couple of available Corsair iCue versions and while they each showed the desired changes on the program, the keyboard remained white (I was looking for light blue or green). So if keyboard backlighting colors are important, look elsewhere. CASE/FORM FACTOR: The metal shell feels sturdy and rigid, unlike plastic cases I've had in the past. Folded down, the thickness is amazingly slim, as the name suggests. Love it. Having a centered power connection in the rear is useful for me, as I've had laptops with the only connection invariably on the most inconvenient side from where I need it. I find the USB and USB-C ports conveniently located, though all of these opinions are subjective and others might not like it as much. The finish does show fingerprints. I'm planning on applying a vinyl wrap to the case to abate that. NOISE: The fans can get distracting when they're running hard during Warzone. This really doesn't matter to me; it would likely only annoy those around me, as I'm almost always on headphones. GRAPHICS: Here's where this model loses points in my book. I'm not new to technology and did my research, but I figured the RTX 3050 Ti would be able to hold its own. I haven't run it with Photoshop yet, but when running Warzone, I've had to really scale back the graphics to allow this laptop to keep up at even a reasonable framerate. You WILL NOT be running at 4K and 100 fps. I'm at about 720p and 55 fps. Even with that, it still hangs up occasionally and has resulted in more than one untimely death. How they're marketing this as a "gaming" rig is beyond me. Overall, I'm still happy enough that I don't regret the purchase. However, if someone looking for true gaming power, I'd suggest they pass on this one due to the austere GPU choice Lenovo made.
