Customers appreciate the 27UL600-W monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and impressive HDR performance. Many also find it to be a good value for its price and easy to set up. Got my 2nd LG 27UL600 4K today
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor at a great price on Black Friday weekend. Iv’e had this monitor since 2019 Black Friday...I was glad to see it was still available for this year’s sale, too. It has excellent color and 4K clarity. I can connect my computer using display port (which is what my work docking station supports) and, using the hdmi ports, a Firestick to watch Amazon prime and an Xfinity streaming box or my personal computer. Now with 2, I have enough ports for everything. The single button menu control is amazingly intuitive...who needs more than 1 button to do it all! It has headphone Jack for the streaming services when you can’t get your Bluetooth headphones to connect to your streaming boxes (the monitor does not have speakers or Bluetooth). I have so many wired speakers and headphones that would be better than anything that would fit in this device, I am not missing that feature. I do wish Best Buy carried the 650 which has the adjustable stand...these sit very close to the table. I can’t use monitor arm with my current setup, but if you are getting monitor arms, why pay extra. I’m not sure they will get me back into the office when things return to normal. The brand new 27 “ 1080 screens at the office just aren’t good enough anymore.

decent budget 4k
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had been itching for a 4k upgrade from my $180 Asus 1080. This one was on sale around black Fri/cyber Mon for $279 so I pulled the trigger. Now I knew this wouldn't fit all my needs but it checked most of the boxes and for the price I'm fairly satisfied and would buy again *at this price*. The current and normal price of this monitor is $429 which I wouldn't consider worth the money. I bought this to use for general 4k movie watching, photo editing, and console gaming. I wanted 3 inputs; for my laptop, Xbox One (og), and Switch. Games, movies, and photos all look pretty good, especially once you dial in the settings. Viewing angle is great too. I'd say the main setbacks are some minor light bleed in the corners, lack of height adjustment, HDR has been hit-and-miss, and the limit of 60hz. I'm currently gaming on an og Xbox One which only runs 1080p @ 60fps, and a Switch which runs the same (at most). So its actually the monitor hindered by the consoles in this case. But I plan on picking up a Series X or equivalent gaming PC in the near future which is when the monitor will become the bottleneck as it only features 60hz via a dated HDMI 2.0 port. You need HDMI 2.1 to get 4k @120fps which is the Series X max. The Displayport 1.4 on the monitor can handle 4k @120 but no Xbox has Displayport. But it wouldn't matter anyway because the panel is only 60hz So if you're fine with gaming at 60fps, or just want to watch movies and edit and whatnot, this is a good monitor. I'd still say to try to buy on sale though.

Nice Monitor, Beautiful Picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my old monitor died unexpectedly, I spent quite a bit of time at my local Best Buy trying to decide on a new monitor. This one happened to be on a terrific Black Friday sale so I couldn’t resist splurging for a 4K monitor, although it was really more than I needed for home use. The picture was clear and crisp, and the stand was very attractive. I compared the picture on this side-by-side with many other brands and thought it was outstanding with fine detail and natural colors. The only thing I didn’t particularly like was that the back of the monitor is white. This might be a consideration if you are putting it in a location where it might be visible with your other electronic components. Although I liked the monitor, I have to be honest and say I ended up returning it because I decided that a more basic Dell monitor for less than half the price was fine for my purposes. Nothing wrong with the monitor, but it was just more than I needed for general computing.

Bought for PS4 Pro - Kept for PS5
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this review is after almost a year of usage. The screen is still beautiful, still accepts the PS4 Pro and now PS5's HDR Input. HDR on the screen is good. It's not going to blow you away from your OLED TV or even a higher end LCD monitor but it gets the job done and does it well. Over all this is a great console gaming monitor for a desktop if you're going to be gaming within arms reach of the monitor. I occasionally hook my MacBook Pro up to it and Big Sur looks great in it as well. There's not much to say from a console/desktop perspective. The colors are good, the text is clear, no blurring when browsing up and down. They offer a few ways for you to custom tune the picture through presets or you can mess with your own calibration. Over-all, would buy again. I can't recall what I bought it for, but if you can grab it sub 200$ it's a no-brainer.

Wonderful Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying you get what you pay for. This is a great 4k monitor for this price. I see reviews that complain it isn't flawless. That's like discussing a Nissan and complaining that it cannot keep up with a Lamborghini. Anyway, the color was perfect out of the box against a visual calibration. I am waiting for a color profile to be created so I can download that. Either way, the monitor has vibrant colors. I also saw complaints about the refresh rate being only 60 hz and the response time being 5ms. If you search for a 4k monitor with a max of 144 hz and a 1ms response time, you will find your self in the price range of roughly $1,300. That all being said, I use this monitor for video editing and find that it works well, especially with all of the extra real-estate. I gave it a slight hit for quality due to the response time, but if you want a 5, you are going to have to pay for it.

Excellent sub-$500 4k panel.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Beautiful, affordable 4k picture with HDR on an IPS panel. -Input lag is very solid for an IPS screen. -Freesync and Gsync compatible. (It isn't the specs, but it works with Nvidia.) Cons: -Bulky stand and external power supply. Oh well.

Great display, not great HDR experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone coming from a console gaming setup to getting this monitor to go along with a gaming PC I love this monitor, does everything I need it to and the colors and sharpness are amazing. I use a. RTX 2070 Super and get great performance at 4K for what I am expecting. However the HDR on this display is pretty blah, some games look really good but nearly all menus I’ve had HDR enabled in are washed out and look bad. A few games look so bad I keep HDR disabled altogether, might be an artifact of PC’s seemingly fractured HDR support but it does mean at some point in the next year or so I’ll be looking for a replacement monitor to try and get a better HDR experience. I’d still recommend this display overall, as long as you are not looking to enable HDR for everything.

Great monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This display is a perfect size for some of the Excel spreadsheets I work on. The curved stand allows for use of the desk space under the monitor screen (sometime it's where I put my lunch plate when I eat and work). I sometimes have an issue with the speakers on the monitor and the speakers on the computer causing an issue on conference calls, but full disclosure, I have not read the owners manual to set it up correctly. It's a great monitor for meetings where people display presentations with small font's since going full screen does not lose clarity.

Very good Monitor for PS4 Pro/Xbox One X
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m coming from a 24” LG 1080p IPS monitor and this one definitely is brighter and has a clearer picture. The monitor itself does not have any height adjustment but can be mounted. Does tilt up and down a good amount. Viewing angles are good, and the colors are very vibrant. I find myself not using the HDR mode though. I feel that without it, the colors are brighter. Has a lot of customizing options to get the picture you like best, and animations are very smooth with no tearing. This is definitely a good monitor for the money, being it is an IPS display. 60hz max but that is all you need for a PS4 or Xbox. May be somewhat future proofed for the next gen consoles next year. Reason for 4 stars is that the HDR isn’t that great but everything else is awesome.

Spectacular display, stand is highly questionable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the UL590 for a long time and the UL600 model is basically the same display from what I can tell. This monitor's display quality is perfect if you've got an office-work centered workflow and don't need a high refresh rate. Where the 590 and this newer 600 differ is in the stand and display cabinet. The older 590 model was a shiny white plastic that badly yellowed on me after time but the stand was very sturdy and height adjustable. The 600 is a matte, cheaper looking bright white plastic but the stand is super cheap and unstable for a monitor this size. It already tipped over on me. I'd but this and use the VESA mount, best of both worlds.

Great even for macs/PCs, not for gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This single handedly was the best monitor purchase I've made thus far, and I feel spoiled with it. The only downside of this monitor is the fact its 4k30 with HDMI on a mac with the m1 processor via HDMI with better color or, DisplayPort with limited color options, and 4k60. So its nice, but there's a trade off there. Also this could also be a limitation of my adapter as its running through a docking station and not directly towards the monitor On a normal windows PC, or at least those with NVidia GPUs it works perfectly fine, 4k, 60hz on HDMI with full color and display port.

Amazing Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor for Photo Editing. A lot of customizable settings in the Monitor's UI. It's good to get to a pretty accurate color for photo editing. it doesn't come completely pre-calibrated out of the box, but there is a lot of sources to help you calibrate it to your liking. It is a little muted in terms of colors because of the accuracy of the true colors, but it's realistic vs a phone screen where they crank saturation up to please the eye.

Excellent picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is obviously the most important characteristic. On the down side, there is no height adjustment. Your signal source must be capable of producing 4K signal. I originally hooked it up to 1920x1080 pixels and found that while it can stretch the picture horizontally, it cannot do it vertically. Since my computer was due to be replaced, that was how I solved the problem.

The best monitor for the price tag.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor on a complete impulse buy and I do not regret my purchase. Being a Samsung consumer for most of my life, the 27UL600 is a fresh breath of air. The 4K resolution is sharp, the HDR is truly amazing, and the Freesync was a welcomed addition. The monitor is 60hz, so for you competitive gamers out there, this may not be for you. But for console gamers looking for a good display for your PS4 Pro/Xbox One X, I highly recommend this this. And I will looking into LG products in the future.

Really great monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this monitor for gaming and with low input lag and a bright crisp display everything looks incredible. You need to hook this up via display port in order to get the full rgb 10 bit color and for the FreeSync to work with an nvidia graphics card. The max refresh rate is 60 hz but with the FreeSync magic enabled that’s more than enough and buttery smooth for all but your most demanding hard core FPS gamers. Get this monitor you won’t regret it. Also if you want a full review of any display and color calibration tip check out rtings.com

Great monitor for gaming!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical at first about buying this monitor to switch from a 55 inch tv for gaming. But I'm glad I pulled the trigger and did it. Its perfect for console gaming I havent had any issues so far and it shows great with 4k and hdr settings. It's not to bright or to dark it's just right. It might not be a 1ms monitor but its low enough to where I can play call of duty and other shooters without the extra lag and stuttering. Definitely recommend if you are a gamer.

The best 4K IPS HDR monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has gotta be the greatest monitor you can have. I just bought a Mac Mini and this monitor goes perfect with it. In fact in display settings in system preferences in Mac OS you can turn on HDR with this display and wow the colors just blasts through and the overall picture is 10x better than before! Without HDR it's rather bland. Apple uses LG in there iMacs displays, so having this is exactly like having an iMac.

That's a nice picture you got there
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A really top quality picture with the responsiveness that is ok for a bit of gaming. Pretty easy to set up, but what a pain to figure out what supports this mode and what supports that mode. This monitor, hooked up via DisplayPort supports the Windows 10 UHD 4K mode. I don't know if that is an earth-shattering experience, but for average everyday working, I notice the difference. I switch into gaming modes and the monitor comes along, seems to do fine on racing games.
