Not a bad monitor - pick one up used if you can.

This thing is really expensive and i have stupid issues like random disconnecting from my work computers. First was a Dell, work issued a new laptop and still kept happening. Went through 4 different cables same thing. Really messed up part 1 year warranty. Seriously LG. Buying Dell only from now on.

Burn in super high, and options to mitigate low.

Huge burn in issues on screen after browsing FB or reddit. The in-monitor settings really don't have good options to help prevent it. Even with brigthness set below 5 any extended use of monitor results in burn-in;.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU'RE ON A MACBOOK

Wanted to use this as an external monitor in conjunction with my 2019 Macbook Pro. After watching numerous YouTube reviews showing seamless and easy set-up, I figured why not? Big mistake. What should have been a 30-second plug and play set up using the Thunderbolt port turned into 2+ hours of trouble-shooting session (eventually got it to work - one time - but not even sure what I did). Looking online I discover that there are MAJOR Macbook compatibility issues with this monitor and scores of message board posts from Mac users experiencing the same issue. (Many of them say to just unplug the monitor for 10 seconds. Yeah, that's a totally sustainable solution for a busy professional trying to get work done.) Pretty heartbreaking to spend $1800 and to be so excited to use this thing, only to have it be totally DOA. Congrats to LG for pretty much turning me off of their products for life.

Text is clear at 150% resolution, which is the default, but most of the 11 software programs I use on a daily basis won't adjust to anything other than 100% without conflicts, so a 4k monitor doesn't work for productivity purposes. Also, the curve is too soft. At 37" of width, the screen presents similarly to that of a flat screen, making it too difficult to see the extremes of each side

Screen flickering and burn in after 19 days.

Monitor started flickering and had screen burn in after 19 days of use. Since it was past the 14 day return policy, best buy did not allow a return either. I am disappointed both in the product and the service. Will purchase electronics from a different store next time especially for more expensive units.
