    A cell phone tank

I chose this cellphone case because I plan to keep this phone a very long time. I had an otter box for my last phone, and I really liked it, but it was bulky and did not protect from water. Every now and then I hear about a friend dropping there phone in the toilet or getting pushed into a pool when there cell was on them. I didn't want to push my luck because I spend a fair share of time on the water and at the beach. I also chose this phone because my niece is getting older and loves watching videos on my phone. I need something childproof. The volume is slightly muffled, but I just turn the volume up louder than normal to compensate and it's fine. The case is totally worth it!

This is the best case you can buy for your iPhone. Sure it's a little expensive, but why would you put your $600 phone in something cheap?!? The reviews I often read about this phone case is the sound quality is "bad". It's not "bad". You can hardly tell a difference! Yes, the speakers are covered and behind a waterproof screen so it's a little quieter, but don't buy a waterproof case if your going to b**** about the speakers being covered!! There is a company making OEM versions of this case and I'm sure the bad reviews are stemming from those cases. People buy them because they're about 70% cheaper and they look identical, so people get fooled, buy them, hate them, then complain like is was the real lifeproof case. Go on YouTube. You'll see tons of videos about the fake lifeproof cases. Bestbuy sells the real cases. The is the best case that you'll buy. Just remember that your putting your phone in a case. So it's going to feel different, look different, glare different, and sound different. People want to put their phone in a case and have it be no different than out of a case. It's just not possible. People are stupid. Sorry for any spelling mistakes. Eric

This case is great. While the price tag is high, it proves itself in the rugged and waterproof category. I bought this case a month ago and it has lived on my phone since. I have been caught in several rain storms, both while working out and not, and it has protected my phone perfectly. This case also has great additional accessories that work with it (i.e. armband, belt clip, etc...) I use the armband daily with this case. That was one reason that I bought the case as well. I wanted a case that I could keep my phone is all day and then add to an armband to go to the gym or run/bike around the neighborhood and not have to take it out of the case and put it back in. Lifeproof has made just such a case. Don't be afraid by the high price tag. It really is worth the money.

Great, except for one hiccup...(PLUS FIX)

When i first got the case, everything was going smoothly, clear calls, still water tight, perfectly fine. and then i made the mistake of taking the phone out and putting it back in again! DON'T DO THIS. or at least if you do. test each seal to make sure it is seated properly, meaning the headphone plug seal, the seal around the screen the seal connecting the back and front of the case and one very special one, the one on the inside of the case around the microphone hole. there is a little black o-ring that if you put the top of the phone in the case before the bottom, sliding the bottom in will push this out of place and sliding interfering with the low tolerance microphone diagram. is you are experiencing muffled or "tunnel sounding" calls open the case and check this seal (picture attached). If it looks out of place, remove it carefully and replace it so it is centered over the square hole of on the case. knowing this, overall this is a great case. A little pricy, but still worth it.

It serves the main purpose to keep your phone dry under water!! The price is good when you compare buying a screen protector along with the Otter Box. I have dropped my phone many times and the case is very durable and the screen is fine. Case is slim and fits in your pocket vs the Otter Box. No variety of colors or style.... Yet ! I only wish it came with two headphone adapters, the one is small and hard to keep track of. Overall, it is a great product .

I purchased this case for my iPhone when I was going on vacation and wanted to take pictures and video when in the water. At first I was afraid to even use it from the bad reviews and I eventually dunked it in the water and went swimming it worked with no problems and iPhone came out with no problems or signs of water in the case. Worked flawlessly and will be using it again when going in the water. Only problem I really had was the space between the screen and the screen protector felt cheap, also got water spots over the screen.

I really like the protective qualities of this case. I had my iPhone 5 less than 2 weeks before breaking the display screen (didn't have a case yet). I got it replaced and feel much better now that I have a good case. It's not very attractive, but considering how expensive it is to repair/replace iPhones, I'll take function over design. I dislike two things about this case, which would likely apply to any case that offers such good protection from the elements: 1) difficult to remove when I need to use my sport band for workouts, and 2) you need a headphone adapter (comes with the case) so if you don't have it with you, you can't use your headphones

I find these covers great! If you are ok with not worrying about style but exceptional protection for your phone this is it! I have convinced my whole family to protect their iPhones with Lifeproof. My dad is a postman and he throws his phone around everywhere and this cover has never faltered. I love that you can take pics near or in water. Helps when you are also a swimmer or even a cook that gets flour on the phone and all you need to do is wash it! Great product! And the color is fun. Maybe pricey but it pays for itself.

I have had this case since the first days it came out. Overall it has worked incredibly well as I can throw my phone in the fountain at school and nothing will happen to it (don't ask). I have dropped it a few times and once during the rain and nothing happened to the phone or the case. What I don't like about it is that the screen's plastic makes a little bubble and you have to press a little harder on the top and bottom of the screen. The sound of the speaker sounds a little distorted when activated but I guess I can deal with that. Also the screen does not turn off when I place a call causing the battery to last less than usual. Other than those things, it works.

This is a great heavy duty case and it does keep water from getting on your phone if dropped in water. You must keep an eye on the seals though to make sure they don't get messed up and will continue to keep the phone safe from water. It could have a little better front shield so that there is not a small gap between the screen protector and the screen. Sometimes I notice it doesn't take a punch that I make and have to do it twice. It is built to be tough and keep the product safe which it definitely does do.

Bought for daughter, at her request--she swears by them. They take a phenomenal amount of punishment, direct hits, drops and I'm told survive much time underwater. Fairly attractive set of colors, too. Make sure you get the one for your particular iPhone. Very slim, given this level of protection. My only concerns are that speech can be muffled if you don't speak directly into the microphone, and fairly high price. I'd recommend this over others if you plan to drop you phone in water.

I absolutely love this case except for one thing. The sound qaulity when not using headphones sucks. The new look is great, its sleek, well built and the ability to touch your screen is awesome. I tested mine, its waterproof and works great. I like the plug is now attached to the case so you don't lose it. it's much better than the Fre case. It's just the sound quality that drives me nuts (note: I had the same sound issues with it). When I talk to people without headphones they say I sound like I'm in a tunnel. Overall it is still the best case out there in my mind to protect and show off your item.

Good to save your iPhone from dust and water but the screen protector is pretty thick. Main issue is the compatibility of the case with the mic. Frankly it's awful.

For the level of protection (waterproof and impact resistant) the Lifeproof case is very slim, especially when compared to its competitors. It's easy to use and comes in a variety of colors. We have three of them within our small family, and all have met our expectations. The only quirk is that you have to use a headphone adapter for most headphones while the case is on. It does come with the phone, and it does make the connection waterproof as well, but it's an inconvenience at times, and requires that you remove the case to plug in the cable if you forget the adapter.

It's a good case even tho it is expensive. It does keep water out for the most part, I can see a little that gets in my the headphone jack. It kinda sucks that you have to have a special cord to plug stuff into the headphone jack. Some dust pebbles have definitely gotten in. I think all the door and stuff to protect the power and headphone jacks makes it hard for people to hear you when you talk on the phone. Opening these seems to help, otherwise they say my voice is muffled. Overall a decent product and worth the small nuances to protect the very expensive phone inside

When my 14 year old boy asked for this case, I said yes without hesitation. I have one as well (in green) and know how well it protects your phone. I don't have to worry that he'll break it by dropping it or getting it wet. If you have teenage boys, you know how important this is! Also, the color is really nice. When he first picked it I thought it was something that a woman would choose, but it's rather "manly". Almost like military fatigue color.

After my first iPhone fell in a pool, I purchased the LifeProof case to protect the new one. It has so far protected my phone even though I haven't dumped it in water (yet). An added bonus is that I can take pictures when it rain without being afraid to damage the phone. The quality of pictures looks that same as without using the case. The only downside I see is that the clear protective covering on the screen is ill fitting and I sometimes have trouble typing or using the touch screen. I still think its a great investment to protect my phone.

I bought this case for my wife. We have two kids so she is constantly putting the phone in her back pocket, handing the phone to our children, and having it taken places without her knowing. She uses it when running although this is the downfall of the product. The headphone jack is useless unless you use the adapter that comes with the product. Overall I am very pleased with the case. This will be the first case that has survived any length of time and hopefully this is the first case to keep her smartphone alive for a full year.

I love the look of the case, and that it is not bulky. I feel very secure that it is safe from common accidents, i.e. spills, rain, etc. I have taken underwater video with my iPhone, and it comes out great. The only real negative aspect of the case is that you have to unscrew a plug to insert headphones. This is not convenient for people who use headphones frequently. I still prefer this case over any other waterproof case I've seen.
