I don't use it all the time, however when I do plug it in to extend my range, it works out great. It's fairly fast considering how far away my router is.

Great Wireless Internet Extender

Had some issue with included software to discover device but I believe it was an issue with metal filing cabinets in big office location causing interference because I plugged in ac plug close to floor and behind cabinets, once I moved closer to router and away from cabinets it was discovered and setup continued with no issues. The device needs to be setup close to existing router and then you can move anywhere you like with no additional setup. The device was moved to a wall that had a power plug high on wall and it worked great with no interference at all with cabinets afterwards.

Momma needs to watch her Korean dramas, ya feel me?! It took a little while for it to connect to the original signal but it works and that's what matters.

I wanted to be able to steam movies while working, which was only semi possible before. I have much more stable streaming experience now, more like what I would expect inside my home. Some basic computer knowledge is required for setting it up, but from reading some of the replies in other reviews, it appears the company (Linksys Support) reads these reviews and responds with offers to help set up the device. A plus for customer service on that one all by itself. This is definitely a good, safe buy.

* Place it in an area where there is still a good connection from the router.
* Use a handheld device (phone or tablet) to check for your router's signal strength. Once you can find a place where there is still 2-3 signal bars, then that's the perfect location for your extender.
* Set your router to use a permanent wireless channel such as 1, 6, or 11.
* Update or re-flash the firmware.

BUT...we have 5G wifi and this is only 2.4 so it took forever to load pages and sometimes it timed out so we had to refresh the page. That, and you have to re-sync it on the main computer every time it gets unplugged or power goes out. Not real impressed, and waited too long to return for refund.
