This product is poor quality. After owning it for a few months a hairline crack appeared going from the top of the screen to the bottom with no clear cause (no falls/drops). This must be some kind of design flaw with the glass, as I've owned MacBooks and Lenovo's for years and never had a cracked screen. I'm in contact with Microsoft about a repair but even that will take weeks and is a major inconvenience. I do not recommend this product.

I love the laptop, HOWEVER the laptop came in with a cracked screen.

This laptop was bought for my daughter going into her first year of college in August 2020. Have been very happy with it, performance was good, nice size, and lightweight. When turning it on this week - May 2021 - nothing appears but a black screen, no sign in screen, just glitchy & black . Just in time for final exams. Returning to Microsoft but will take weeks & if they can't fix it, will get a refurbished model. Would not recommend.

I purchased this 2 years ago and I hardly used it. I started to use it as my main work laptop and the screen died after a few weeks. All I did was wipe it with a clorox wipe after my sick toddler sneezed on it! Never buying another Microsoft laptop or device! Compare it to my old Lenovo laptop and that thing lasted me years and wiping it down was fine. I'm using that one again now.

Once I started to ramp up the workload on this laptop, it would intermittently shut down or freeze which means that I have not been able to use it fully since the day I bought it. Microsoft Surface Support are very skilled at reading the same support resources as I am and have done little to instill confidence in this product. I am now in the process of getting my THIRD replacement unit but not looking forward to receiving it only to set it up, run a whole series of updates, re-install my software appplications with a high likelihood that I will have to spend many more hours trying to work with Surface Support.

This is a terrible laptop. The key travel, screen, size all great. About my 11th month of ownership the screen errored(line across) Microsoft sent a replacement. The replacement had a software issues that would not allow the device to say connected to Wi-Fi! They sent me a new device, and new device just randomly reboots! After many phone calls, tech support steps my only option is to receive another new device. At this point I am trying to get a refund. If you have to the ability to save or wait I suggest another device possibly Apple. They are more expensive but I don't hear about these types of issues!

The 8 GB RAM AMD surface laptop 3 has 2 GB RAM allocated as video memory so you will only have 6 GB of actual RAM for your use. With regular use you will constantly run with around 50% of RAM usage. Please do not buy any AMD laptops for this reason alone. I didn't see this problem until my return period was over or else i would have returned it.

Unfortunately the speakers are blown after 6 months of use and I always keep the volume low, barely ever use them also feel like the battery drains super fast. need to make sure i carry my charger everywhere I go. Lastly the fans are triggered easily and I feel that I am not even doing much on it.

This laptop worked well for a few weeks. After infrequent usage (On average 1 to 2 hours a day) it completely froze and we had to consult Google for a solution. I ended up doing a reset and it powered back up. About a week later it would only show a battery power sign even though it was fully charged. Wouldn't even power on ON the charger. I had to schedule a wait time with Geek Squad and ultimately ship it back to the manufacturer. Waited 5 weeks for its return. Did they even test it?! It powers on now, but will not charge. The charger's light is on, metal strips look fine. But it still wont charge. I refuse to spend more money on a new charger only to be 100% sure its not the junky surface pro itself. I basically have $1k paperweight at this point. Best Buy won't accept the return and I don't particularly want to wait an ANOTHER 5 weeks for a repair on a laptop thats barely 4 months old. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MICROSOFT LAPTOP!! Lesson learned the hardway.

Wouldn’t recommend ANY SURFACE PROS to anyone! This has been giving us so many issues. Back to geek squad we go because it has been stuck on restart screen for the past 12 hours. Microsoft is charging $1,000+ for garbage.

This computer has had constant problems since I got it! It regularly crashes and I have problems opening any websites or programs on a daily basis. It has been a complete disaster.

Says a wire disconnected so causes WiFi to stop about every hour and have to restart it. Best Buy and geek squad both have had no interest in helping fix the problem

I purchase the surface pro 15” great computer when it works , love it . Until one day after a few months of purchase they had to replace the computer due to unResponsive keyboard . It’s been 1 1/2 years we have no issues until these same issue with the keyboard . Only this time both Microsoft and the Total protection plan refuses to cover the same issue . My alternative Microsoft says is to go by a new keyboard fir $500.00

Stopped working on day 2. WiFi drivers disappeared. Couldn’t pair Bluetooth devices. A known issue Microsoft hasn’t fixed.

Do not recommend. Issues since day 1. Freezes, fan is loud, etc. Avoid.

It’s great until it’s not! Do not buy this computer not worth the purchase, i have to spend 200-340 plus more a year later because the hard drive crashed or software update issues. Search surface laptop 3 restart loop. If you have this computer you will want to keep a warranty on it or back up all you info all the time. Less than a year and the computer self destructed

Not even a week of having this laptop. The light in the screen just turned black. Went back to get a diagnostic to Hopefully it was something minor but them called it defective, was willing to get a brand new one, since the one I bought was defective, but all Best Buy sold out on this laptop. It would of been 1-2 weeks for shipment. But I needed one because with this online distance learning for my daughter.

apparently this laptop has a common defect where they glass can crack spontaneously while closing the lid due to a small particle in the glass. Although the manufacturer is providing a replacement device im still very dissapointed in the way best buy reacted to the situation, refusing to let me switch for another device of equal value even though I have purchased the device less than 3 weeks ago.

I had an HP Laptop for 6 years, no issue. I bought this computer three weeks ago and have had major issues with the wifi driver. So much so that I'm returning this computer tomorrow and exchanging it for an HP. I don't care what's wrong with it, you shouldn't have to fix new things.
