I don't think this particular model can replace a lab top. But soon it will. The only reason I give this a 3 star because I got two surface pro in a matter of three weeks and had to return both. Because they both kept on freezing on me. Hopefully no one gets what I got. But I need to tell you'll.

I only have a 128 GB hard drive, so I keep an SD card and flash drive attached for extra capacity. The 2017 pen works great, but sometimes had an issue with the button not always opening OneNote - it seems to be working fine now. Overall, great piece of technology and I’m extremely happy with it.

The Surface Pro was recommended by my IT dept. It has been great to have the compatibility with my work programs, having a USB port to store and transfer files, and the easy switch between laptop and tablet modes. And the Surface is much easier to travel with than a laptop!

I love the touch screen and the case is so easy to use as a tablet cover and really nice keyboard too. My old laptop's charger port broke, seems really common - but this surface has a special magnetized port that is so easy to plug in, and if you forget to unplug it detaches safely rather than snapping off!

So far I have not had any issues with the computer and I have found it to be much quicker and more responsive than my previous Surface. The type cover that comes with it is very high quality and an improvement on previous keyboards for the Surface.
