I love the software. Being able to capture receipts with your phone is a plus and a big help. If you ever plan to scan receipts that are full size sheets of paper (or any full size sheet of paper) DON'T BUY THIS SCANNER. It scans small/standard size receipts great and very fast. I never have a problem with them. However, 90% of the time when trying to scan a full sheet of paper it will do one of the following: 1) kick the paper slightly at an angle and the pull it half way through tearing/badly wrinkling the paper and then jamming leaving you with a un-scannable paper. 2)Not feed the paper at all until you force the paper in by hand while it tries to feed. **The above applies to paper in great condition. Forget trying to scan slightly distorted paper. Save your money. In regards to full sheets of paper an old $80 flatbed scanner would be faster and easier to deal with. If you never plan to scan full sheets than this scanner will be great for you.

Worked great for years. Now they've gone to a cloud based app that crashes every 30 seconds. Plus their cloud service has been down for three weeks! Going on my third Tech Support direct access to my computer with at least two hours each time. All of my existing documents no longer have their names I gave them on my origianl desktop app! Would take me months to re-enter everything - that is, if I could even access and use the app without it crashing every 30 seconds! Stay away from this company, maybe my problems will help someone else avoid the same problems!

DON'T BUY THIS! NEAT requires a monthly subscription in order to use their software and the scanner WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THE SOFTWARE! No one told me this and I didn't see it in the reviews OR the description when I bought it. My old NEAT Scanner wasn't like that. I now have a 4 month old $400+ scanner that I can't use unless I pay a MINIMUM of $5.99/Month to NEAT companies to use my own scanner!

It worked great out of the box as advertised. However after a few days, the page feeds would get jammed or not recognize at all. Went through all of the FAQ on Neat Website but I just got this item and it shouldn't be having problems feeding already. Imagine a year from now. Returning for a more robust product. Technology is great but the mechanical workings need serious improvements.

Dont buy anything from this company. Worst purchase ever. I regret buying anything from this company. Scanner jams all the time. Software crashes with every scan. They have zero support and admit their software is buggy with no fix.

Not worth the money; too much money for the quality of product.

Don't waste your money and time, after paying crazy money you still have to buy monthly subscription. No other option. Neat doesn't even transfer half of the receipt data automatically as they advertise. Useless product and save your money $$$

I am a long term owner. But now this product does not work with the new MAC operating system. I validated this with NEAT. Great product, when it worked. Will NOT connect to the MacBook Pro 2016 (bought at BB) or devices running El Capitan. Running under Windows (Parallels) did not work either. The company validated this and their policy is not to fix the problem. Too bad, because I really loved this device. Very well made and reliable - up until now. An amazing hole in their boat. I was told that their goal is to force customers to their cloud service at $72/mo.

Unable to scan to my pc. It required that I scan to the cloud and then sync with my pc software to manage or use the images. Scans black and white documents fine, with very poor resolution and saturation on color images. Don't plan on scanning any Photographs with this device.

I thought I was getting a good tool to organize my office. When I first bought this machine, it scanned to my PC in pdf format. Now, it scans to who knows where and in a format that can not be used without the neat software and subscription. Now I just have a $400+ paperweight. Guess I will have to keep all the paper I was trying to get rid of.
