Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Nighthawk Mesh X4S Wall-Plug Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender's impressive WiFi range, ease of use, and setup simplicity. Many appreciate the improved signal strength and expanded coverage it provides throughout their homes. While some experienced occasional connectivity issues or found the device's size somewhat large, the positive feedback on performance and range significantly outweighs the negative comments. The extender is generally considered effective at extending WiFi coverage.

Good product, seems to have fixed coverage issue I was having in the house. Lights don't show it with a strong connection but its been good enough to extend the WiFi range and that's all that matters.

Connects easy and the range increase is phenomenal. Only criticism is it kinda sticks out pretty far from the wall, I’d just be worried about someone hitting it on accident.

Big Improvement over traditional WiFi Extenders

The mesh technology lets you maintain your connection, even when your devices connects to your network in mid streaming as you walk through the house. Traditional extenders require to log in to them first. Not so with this gadget. It gets 4 stars because the "easy setup" approach was not that successful. After a bit of a struggle, I connected to the device with a browser and went through the setup steps. That resolved all issues and now it works as advertised. I have a tri-band router and the "easy" approach was not getting on the right channels, so my problem may not come up on a different router. I would buy it again. 'Dead" spot was eliminated.

Recently we moved into a multi level, 3,000 square foot home and the quality of the streaming to our upstairs TV's and Peloton bike left a lot to be desired. Even having a newer modem/router and top tier internet (via Cox), there were intermittent issues with lag when trying to launch apps and start shows/games. This device is perfect in that you don't need to switch to a secondary wifi connection. It acts the same as a mesh router without having to go full in on a mesh network. Worth it for the money.

The unit was easy to set up. We still have some buffering, but we have slow internet service. Extender is not to blame for that. Adding it did make a difference.

When I upgraded my Ring Door bell to the Pro, I started having issues with dropped/frozen images when recording. Additionally the live feed would have lag. I had tried to use their extender, with no luck. Once I got this, the video is nice and smooth again. I like that I can extend the network and keep the same name. That was a pain with a previous extender I had. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. Every now and then I see the 5 GHz light turn red. Otherwise it seems pretty stable.
