Takes a few seconds to setup. Reliable connection using the electrical plugs already existing in your home. I have used one of these at work now and at my personal home to connect access points or computers to the network where they would otherwise be out of range. Pretty much plug and play.

I purchased this along with the NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S router, NETGEAR CM500 modem, and the NETGEAR GS605 switch to connect my Xbox that is downstairs far away from everything else. This provides a almost true ethernet speed. Very simple to hookup, literally plug and play. It even has a secure connection option. Very happy with the purchase!

We needed to set up a home office in a room that wasn't getting good internet. This was super easy to install and works like a charm. No more problems with Zoom meetings and the internet is fast.

Just picked this up today and connected it to my PC, which is in the farthest room of the house from our router....and it is BLAZING FAST! It couldn’t have been easier to set up, too - literally plug and play. Get this! You won’t regret it!

    An Awesome Product

This product does worked perfectly for me. We put Apple TV in a bedroom and it kept freezing up. It was so bad, we decided not to use ditch the Apple TV. Before giving up though, I wanted to try to connect it directly to the router but that was going to be too much work. I went on BB's site to see about a Wi-Fi extender, wondering if that may work. Looking for the Wi-Fi I came across this product that, if it did what it said it does, would be essentially like a direct connection to the router, which was what I wanted in the 1st place. The only thing that I didn't realize and wish was made clear in the description is that you have to plug it into the wall outlet and not a power strip. I had to do some maneuvering of things to be able to do that, but got it figured out and our Apple TV hasn't had a issue since. Can't recommend them enough.

I needed a better connection on my PS4 but it was too far from my modem so I decided to give these a shot. Easy to setup, just plug in near your modem and then near the device you want to wire in. Went from 20-35mbps to a solid 50mbps. I just wish I spent a couple more bucks for the ones with the extra outlet.

Working from home was new this year and after trying couple wifi extenders this was the only option that worked. Give it a try it sends wifi through the electric lines. I was a bit skeptical but it worked flawlessly, where the extender did not.

Getting the job done to opeimize my Work from Home

I bought this extender to bring wired network connection to an in law apartment in the back of my home. This has been difficult to get done with 10 year old wireless adapters that I had which would only connect at 5-6 Mbps on a 100 Mbps service. The house wiring runs through a sub panel so it is a difficult place to use this technology. It has been reliable for about 2½ weeks now providing 60 Mbps and never dropping the connection. Connected for work it also supports soft phone and VPN connection. The alternative would have been running 100 feet of Ethernet cable through a crawl space. I walk with a cane and this would have been a major undertaking. Just the right product for the need.

Works great! Already had a pair but needed an additional one for a reliable faster connection than WiFi. Works as expected and easy to set up and add to your set encrypted Powerline network. And of course do not use the default encryption.

Amazing! Been trying to get a better single to our detached garage and this works! We didn't need anything super fast, just enough to do zoom calls, it works better than expected and super easy to setup. Will be buying another.

I bought this thinking I had a problem with my internet. This improved my internet slightly, but I had two issues that, in all honesty, limited this device's ability to work properly. My computer I had was having issues with the wireless card, so much that when I brought it into Geek Squad, after a week of being there, they came in and gave me my money back on the computer. Geek squad warranty worked real well, thank you. Disappointed because I loved the performance of the computer. Anyways...my other issue was an old modem/router caused problems. So I can't blame it on this device. It did help some, and overcame the obstacles facing it.

Plug and play, easy to use. It's best to keep these on the same circuit as possible in older houses to get the best results. Throughput drops when crossing circuits. Overall, excellent product and would recommend without hesitation.

The NETGEAR - Powerline 1000 Network Extender has been performing exceptionally since purchase date for 3 months now. My house has older wiring so I was concerned about performance, but there has been no problem. The set up was super easy, up and running in under 5 minutes.

I live in a large two-story house. The router and a switch are in our home office and our smart TV is at the opposite end of the house on the first floor. Even with a range extender, the TV frequently lost its internet connection. I needed a wired connection to the TV and Blu-ray player and pulling cable from one end of the house to the other was out of the question. The Netgear Powerline 1000 Network Extender solved the problem perfectly. There was virtually no setup and it has functioned flawlessly since it was installed. With the addition of an inexpensive hub I already had, my devices now have a reliable high-speed internet connection. The alternative would have been paying the cable provider an additional $60 per month for a second router. This product is a much better value.

I checked all the reviews before I bought this. Our smart tv in the far end of the house could not even connect to our wireless before. After the very easy installation of the Powerline I can easily download movies. I get great reception on other wireless devices. It does a terrific job.

My biggest complaint is the outlet connectors are fixed for a bottom outlet only, it does not rotate nor can you plug it into the top. It is also picky in the outlets it will accept, if there is any noise from other sources (electrical lines/other outlets, etc.) it will seem to go from just fine to nothing. I purchased this in order to connect home security system DVR in upstairs to router located in a 2nd floor bedroom. Take note - it doesn't tell you on the box, but this WILL NOT WORK at all if plugged into an extension cord or outlet strip - it must be plugged directly into the outlet.

My PS4 would not stay connected to the wifi for some reason so I decided to go wired. I didn't want to run a wire through my house so I decided to get this. May be a little pricey but gets the job done.

These really work well. I have a Cat 5 box where my router is located and it was not getting good wifi signal in the most important room in my house. This ethernet powerline adapter works great and provides consistent download and upload speeds. Easy to setup.
