Great sequel to the original. Fans of Studio Ghibli will enjoy this game featuring its art style. Gameplay provides great quality of life improvements from the first (such as the real time battle system). Performance is a little slow on switch

It's a fun Action RPG. It has a great story, fun gameplay and great music. It plays like the Tales of series! It doesn't play the same as the first Ni No Kuni game. The first one is better but this is a good one for fans of the first one.

I played the original Ni No Kuni on Switch recently and loved it. So I was excited that this was coming to Switch as well. First things first the game is fantastic, a great action RPG. It has its quirks, specifically the annoying inconsistency of the voice over. The only reason it gets 4/5 is that the way it runs and looks on Switch is nowhere near what is advertised/how it looks on PS4.

This game is by far one of the best JRPG games in the market, although it might lack the seriousness and more adult driven themes in most RPGs its lighter tone and feel gives us the opportunity to be at ease and relax from the storm of adrenaline and intense gameplay experience provided by almost all new games at the moment. Ni No Kuni 2 excels in storytelling, game mechanics and friendly graphics, delivering and different and much needed rested experience in gaming. The Characters are well thought and put a relaxing theme around the whole story, there are no extremes here. The main focus is on the quest drive to help others and built upon the main characters destiny. I really recommend this game to all gamers who are looking for a fresh twist on a very old classic game genre.

I’ve played this on the PS4 and I loved it. Love that it’s portable now so I can play it any time I like. Great story just like the original.

Great game, beautiful art, a little on the kiddish side but worth the journey

This game has a completely different story from the original. It is really fun, and you don't have to have played the first one to understand the story line. Also, if you have played the first game then be ready for a different combat experience because the battle system is different in this game compared to the original. Great graphics and colorful landscapes with interesting charicters makes another really awesome Ni No Kuni experiance.

Fantastic sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the Witch which was originally released on PS3 then remastered on PS4 & switch. This version specifically the prince's edition is the complete version which includes all the DLC's mainly: The Adventure Pack, The Lair of the Lost Lord, and The Tale of a Timeless Tome. The PS4 version does look better in comparison but the two DLC's require separate purchases with one of them being free.

Ni No Kuni II, the sequel to the RPG franchise based on Japanese animated film group Studio Ghibli, is a charming adventure that doubles down on the original. The combat system changes from semi turn-based to an action RPG, making the combat snappier, quicker, and more fluid. The title also introduces many other game mechanics, like strategy, world building, and simulation. From a gameplay standpoint, it's really fun and there's tons of side quests; that said, the story lacks the emotional depth of the original.

Different gameplay than the first game. If I hadn’t gotten on sale I probably wouldn’t be happy, but since I got it for $20 I can’t complain.

I love the game. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. No this is not like the first one. Yes this means that the mechanics are different. And no, the protagonist is not the same. If you can get around all of that, then what you have here is another great game made by Level 5. It's a great RPG.

I picked up the game at the store. It was fast customer service and was in excellent condition! I have not played the game yet but it is a series that I have liked. The reviews for the game are great and I got it at a great price of $20 brand new.

I haven’t played this yet, but from everything I’ve read/watched, it seems to be an excellent follow-up to the original Ni No Kuni. I’m glad to be able to own and eventually play both the first and this sequel on the Nintendo Switch — playing JRPG’s on a handheld system is ideal for me. Ni No Kuni 2 looks to have tons of accessibility and quality of life features. Difficulty options with an easy mode for those who just want to enjoy the wonderful Studio Ghibli inspired world and characters. I hear the combat has been refined and is more enjoyable than the first as well. Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase. I can’t wait to jump into it at some point this year. It arrived packaged well which is always a concern with shipping.

I bought the first and the second on the same day. though they had the same name the game is different from the first. both is story and game play which I find to make it even better than the first.

I beat this game on PS4 but if I had known on those days that Ni no Kuni 2 will eventually get a Switch port I could have waited for it. I really like to play my JRPGs on the go.

great game, a good sequel to the first. i would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoyed the first game.
