This camera is easy to use yet takes beautiful pictures. Even in low light conditions it takes great pics. I suggest this camera for anyone that want a good midrange camera.

This camera is easy to use, takes great photos and is ideal for someone who wants to take great pictures of family and events but is not wanting to spend a lot of time on learning the technology of digital cameras. It has many features that I have yet to use and will most likely do so at some point. I was able to take it out of the box and shoot great photos and video without a lot of set up.

This camera is great. Lots of features, actually more than I will ever use. I purchased so I would get clear closeups. It was difficult to figure out about transferring photos to home computer but managed. I have not worked with the wi-fi yet. You have to download the software and also the entire manual. It does come with a quick start guide but you need the manual to cover all the features.

Been looking for a really nice point and shoot camera with good zoom and and the Nikon L840 fits the bill to a T. Pictures are so clear and color is so vivid. Love the different color filters and effects you can use on your photos. I am very much a beginner when it comes to using cameras and I have to say that so far, I am not confused with using all the bells and whistles on this camera. I'm so glad I bought it!

Purchased this camera for my teen daughter for her birthday. For a budget camera this Coolpix did not disappoint. Sturdy construction and a sleek look were very important since this was to be used by an active teen. Simple to use and it takes very sharp and vivid images. Definitely satisfied.

I had did reviews and narrowed my purchase down to CoolPix and Canon Power Shot. CoolPix performs better and has many more features. I needed something that took great pictures, but didn't have the complexity of a higher range camera. There is some issues with finding the right mode to take pictures, but once you figure out what works best for you...it is great.

My youngest daughter just turned 14 this year and is starting photography classes, and just got a very good camera for novices. I want to learn from her and have something to have in common. This is 1st camera I have ever had, beside my phone. I am truly excited to embark on a lifelong trail with my daughter. Love this beginning level camera. Highly recommend!

We bought this to replace an older DSLR camera that failed. Not wanting to spend as much, we chose this camera and were not disappointed. It took a bit to adjust to the display rather than having a "point and shoot" viewfinder. However, the clarity and the ability to zoom in are phenonmenal. Battery life is not a problem either with this camera; We have used it on several afternoons without needing to constantly replace the batteries. My wife is happy with it, as am I. Even if we do move back toward a more expensive DSLR option in the future, this one is solid.

This camera has that "expensive camera" feel. I picked this over a more compact one in that range because it just felt sturdier, especially the popup flash. Most of the compact cameras have a very delicate looking flash mechanism, but this one has bigger springs and just seems less likely to break. The photos come out great and there are some really interesting modes, my favorite is the "Toy" modes. They don't make things look like toys unless you are far away from them, but they do give an interesting depth. The camera runs on AA batteries which was a concern for me, but I've had the same set of rechargables in for quite some time and haven't needed a charge yet. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking at this price point for something a little more "professional" than a standard supercompact model. Plus, if you need new batteries on the fly they sell them everywhere!

I bought this for my grandfather, who is in his 80's. The camera was easy to set up and use, and the pictures look great. The price wasn't too expensive, so I didn't have to worry about it too much if anything were to go wrong. I liked the color also, as it is different than just a traditional black camera.

I love to take pictures. I wasn't sure on which type of camera. I decided to try the Nikon. The color was also not the standard black. It was my Christmas present. It is a very easy camera to use. Takes wonderful pictures. Very impressed. I recommend this camera to anyone trying to decide as there is a lot to choose from. We'll worth it. Beautiful color. Happy picture taking!

Bought the Best Buy exclusive color (plum) Nikon L840 (downloaded instruction manual). This is a great zoom camera for the price I paid ($199). The increased zoom is especially beneficial for long range scenery pics and capturing wildlife shots. Still exploring the features of this camera but so far it's been easy to figure out how to use and the pictures are very good.

I am a point and shoot kind of girl. This camera was easy to use. We bought it for our trip to Maui. Now we have memories for a lifetime. The only thing I didn't like was that it runs on AAA batteries instead of a rechargeable one. But the plus sid to that, was one less charger to pack.

This was a great camera, I bought so I could take pics and not rely on my phone camera. I have a trip to Alaska coming up and wanted time to learn it. Unfortunately I only had the camera a few weeks as my house was broken into and it was stolen. Will have to repurchase in the future. It was very easy to use and took wonderful pictures.

I bought this camera for a special occasion. I didn't have time to practice with it and I thought the pictures would be a bust. I was pleasantly surprised to find all the pictures were perfect. Easy to use and features were great for the price.

I love this camera. It is easy to use. I was using a digital camera that I had purchased in the late 1990's. It was pretty up-to-date when I bought it. With this new Nikon Coolpix L840 I can zoom in so close to things that I couldn't do before. I am still learning some of its qualities, but I really am happy that I purchased this one.

I have two Nikon DSLR cameras and after using this L840 I am almost tempted to trade one of them with my Granddaughter. The only thing that I don't like is trying to view the screen in sunlight or a bright day. That is where the DSLR is better than the L840. Otherwise great photos and easy to use.
