We really like this camera. This is our first DSLR and we are really impressed with the difference in quality from a simple digital camera. The detail and quality is so much better with this Nikon.

I haven't had a nice camera in years. I relied on my phone for pics. Man, I have really missed out on some nice pics over the years. Pics are very crisp and clear. Very simple to use for beginners like me. Also, has options for experienced camera users to use, which I hope to learn how to use one day.

I can't say much for the quality of the kit lens, as I bought the camera to use with my collection of classic nikon f-mount lenses from the 60's and 70's (better glass, all metal bodies), which is all I have used with this camera. Borrowed a few high power (500mm, 1000mm) lenses from friends as well, and the picture quility boggled my mind. Once I was able to navigate the menus to change some settings, I was blown away by the crispness of the photos I was able to get. Took pictures and video of my children's birthday parties one day, and took pictures of hummingbirds the next day, where i could see the individual feathers on its body from quite a distance away. The next up bodies have a few more features (wifi connectivity, 2nd sd card slot, more frames per second) but for the most oart they all use the same sensor pad, so if you don;t care about those select features, this is a great camera to go with. If anyone wants to request sample pictures, I would be happy to post some as well.

Great first time camera. Gave it to my wife for her birthday and we have used it non-stop since then. Great for shots of our kids in sporting events or pictures of the dogs running around.

I have always wanted a DSLR, even though I had no idea how to use one. This camera is so easy, I feel like I can take great pictures without a photography class! I definitely recommend it for beginners as your pictures will still look great, even if you are not a good photographer!!

I love this camera. It has taken some wonderful pictures. It has a very large sensor esp when compared to a point and shoot camera. Pictures turn one crystal clear, like they would if you were to use a film camera. No blurry spots what so ever. Great for low light settings. Get the one with 2 lense kit. It is well worth the money because the 18-55mm lense only offers about 1.1x zoom. Bc normal focal length pretty much starts at about 50mm. So you can only go up to about 55 for zoom. Vs w/ 55-200mm you can get a lot more zoom.

I am not a professional photographer and as such do not need a professional camera. This camera fits my needs perfectly with good balance between features-price-quality. I like the on board tutorial and the ease of use of the manual settings. I also like Nikon's image editing software that comes with it.

Takes great pictures and very easy to use. I need to learn flash use and a few more of the buttons but to just take quick photos and clear pictures. I choose a great beginner camera.

The Mrs. and I love this camera. Takes great pictures and has a lot of excellent features. The thing about it that may be a concern is that your friends and family that don't know much about cameras will really know how to operate this device. Plus, with the medium price tag it's not something you just want to hand to an amateur.

This is my first DSLR. I've been really disappointed with different point and shoots. They never seemed to take good pictures. The D3200 takes much better pictures. The scariest part of buying is being overwhelmed with how to operate a DSLR. The D3200 is easy enough to use for someone used to a point and shoot. I am quite happy with the purchase.

I upgraded from my Nikon d3000 and this is a lot better. The megapixels is an obvioys difference when taking pictures. I am glad that my lens from my D3000 is compatible with this. I recommend it, very easy to use.

Nothing is perfect, so I'm giving this camera 4 out of 5 stars. I got it in a bundle deal and it was worth every penny. I use it so much. It's user friendly, even for a beginning armature photographer like me.

I love this camera. My husband and I love to shoot photos and we are not proffessional photographers by any means but the camera is easy to use the qualitity is great and the pictures turn out amazing. The battery life seems great I am sure that it can change as the battery gets older just like any battery. Love this camera, I dont have one bad thing to say about it so far.

This is my first DSLR camera, and so far I'm amazed at how easy it has been to use right out of the box. I recently used it at a wedding, and the quality of photos were right on par with what I've read in reviews. It's not going to be as good as some of the higher end models, but that's to be expected. For the price, this is the perfect camera for someone just starting to get into photography! I can't wait to use it more once our little one shows up in November!
