Customers are saying

Customers admire the D810 DSLR Camera's astonishing picture quality, ease of use, and high resolution. Many appreciate its strong low-light performance and ergonomic design, although some find it heavy and note the large file sizes. The lack of Wi-Fi capability is also a recurring point of feedback. Overall, the camera receives praise for its impressive image quality and features.

This is the best camera I have ever used and believe it or not, my first dslr. Probably more than I need but I plan on learning everything I can about this camera. I am learning new things about it's features each day and this camera will do it all. Don't know why it is a prosumer and not pro camera. You will not be disappointed!!!

The Nikon D810 is one of the most versatile FX cameras available. Not only are ALL of your bayonet mount lenses compatible, the resulting images have never been sharper or more dramatic. If you're a film purist and holding out - STOP! This will yield better results than you've ever experienced. GUARANTEED!

I've eyeballed this camera for some time. I took advantage of the Nikon deal on this camera. BestBuy honored their competitor price policy so I purchased it through them. The transaction was smooth and the camera and accessaries were as depicted. The best 2017 resolution (no pun intended) so far.

36 mp, Nikons same guarantee & craftsmanship. Assures a seamless transition for those upgrading. Me I am upgrading from a Nikon D90. Love the fact that it can run fps and not miss a beat.,

    Focus problems

I have had this camera for 4 years and always have been frustrated with the focus. 30% of my photos are out of focus. Either it is a calibration problem with lens (all prime) or settings ( have had calibration done), or, the camera has a flaw. Finally giving up and purchasing a new Nikon D850, let's pray I have better luck with it as this is my income. I would also like to add that two out of three cameras ordered from BB seem to have been previously used. I check the shutter count and it is surprising. I do not know how the camera has been taken care of. The outside of the cameras usually show a shine where it has been held by someone for considerable time. Kind of makes me hesitate to pay full price. The other issue is that when you bring a Nikon camera in for repair or servicing using Geek coverage, they will not verify the work is being done by a certified Nikon repair person. Thus, wouldn't this nullify the Nikon warrantee? Geek coverage would be recommended for accidental dropping, etc. I have tried to get an answer to this issue but none have been satisfactory. It is what it is. You are dealing with a third party fulfillment so one does not know where the camera is actually coming from. BB does not know either. In light of this, I am purchasing my new camera from a certified Nikon dealer as it is so much of an investment I don't want to take any chances. I would like to add I have taken some stellar photos with the Nikon D810, due to my skills and persistence. But not without extreme stress and quantity of images to get one in perfect focus. Please take into consideration that all above could possibly be user error, however, I've been a photographer for 40 years and used many cameras and never have had this issue. I recommend if you have focus issues either return the camera or send it to Nikon right away. Or exchange for another.

This Full frame body is amazing, 36mp of goodness. The lack of Low pass filter make this camera uniquely sharp, was amaze by the picture quality even with a 50mm f/1.8 prime.

I've been a wedding photographer for almost 10 years. One of my cameras failed, so I needed a replacement. I'd read good things about the D810. It's fast, quiet as a whisper, incredible resolution, and works like magic in low light. My only gripe is the battery. They should have designed it around the same battery as the D3s, the EN-EL4a. That battery has a lot more energy than the one that comes with the 810. It should also come standard with the battery grip.

The Nikon D810 is an amazing camera that after shooting for 10 plus years I finally obtained. Being mainly a landscape photographer the D810 captures more detail than any other camera.

I had a D800. The D810 is a bigger improvement than expected. A lot of new small features are really cool. ("i" button, new display quality, new viewer info with better quality info, split zoom on display, ...) It's also really quieter than the D800 Difficult to go back to the D800 now.

If you know how to use a camera in manual mode this is the camera for you. Once you start to look at the bottons, you realize how easy it is to use and navigate through.
