First of all i have always been a fan of the commuter series because unlike the defender series it's less bulky but still offers good protection. I have used this series on different phones like the s7 and iphone 6s plus and it never failed me. I bought this case the day i got my Galaxy S8+ and have dropped it a couple of times on various surfaces like concrete and the store floor. At first i was worried to see a cracked screen but when i picked it up it was good as new. If i didn't have this case my phone would have been ruined. If you're looking for a heavy duty case that is guaranteed to protect your phone get the defender series. If you want a light weight slim case get the symmetry series. If you're looking for good protection but still slim get this case.

I purchased the Otterbox Commuter because it still had the great protection I am used to but is slimmer and more compact than the Defender I had previous. The only thing I dislike about the case is there is plastic vice the rubber on bottom of case and when hold sometimes can be slippery. But this is an awesome case for that extra protection.

We purchased this phone case to go with my wife's new Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. It's strong, durable and looks like it will last. She says 4, rather than 5 stars, only because of tactile feel. Her older case had a better grip to it. She still likes this one and is glad to have it.

Not bad for the money if you get BB to price match Amazon. Protects well, but the back is too slippery, and there sides interfere with a good screen protector, so I had to modify the bottom rubber a little with a razor blade.

This is a great case to protect your phone. It does not add much bulk to the phone. The only bad thing is that due to the curved screen, it does not include a screen protector. Also the material in the back is very slippery.

I used an OtterBox Defender series case with my previous phone and found it to be overkill for my usage. I decided to try the Commuter series case this time and I am very pleased with it. It's not as rugged as the Defender series, but it's entirely adequate for my daily usage and much less bulky. There is no built-in screen protector, but the top and bottom lip are raised so you can set the phone face down and the screen will not touch the surface. It's also easy to remove the case which I found was necessary more often than I had realized. You need to remove the case to use the phone with the VR unit and when you want to use the Dex workstation adaptor if you don't have a usb c extension adaptor.

So far the case seems to protect just fine. The only thing I wish is that they covered & also protected the screen since the screen is completely left exposed & they're known for cracking.

The case fits very well to the phone. The rubber layer provide good protection. However, the size of the case is not raised high enough to cover the edge of Samsung S8 plus.

This a great protection case that is not to bulky. Though would like one of this size that protects the screen surface as well.

My previous Otterbox was the defender and it worked like a charm, but it was a bit bulky and I never used the clip portion. This case, the Commuter is light and functions just as well. The only downside is there isn't a screen protector in this particular case. To some, that may not be a big deal since the S8 has Gorilla Glass. I ended up purchasing that separately. No big deal, but I also wish it came in other colors or could customize to individual preference. To do that, I would need to order directly from Otterbox.com at a considerable higher price.

It is a solid case. The o my reason I returned is it was a bit bulky for what I wanted. If you aren't as case averse as I am you'll likely love it.

good compromise between bulk and protection. Durable. Does not include a good screen protector.

Due too the curved edges of the phone the design is different of coarse. It doesn't protect the face of the phone like previous ones. You have to buy the Zagg glass curved screen protector and it works. Also the case is slick hard plastic, which can slip out of your hand easily. Ive made a point to only use Otter Box, still a great product.

Otter box cases is I have used for years. I have dropped my phone plenty of times and my phone has been protected.

Durable, reliable, but slippery. It is hard to plug charger into phone using one hand because of the rubber flap.

I would definitely recommend this case! I like the color. Its very sleek and still protects my phone.

Feels sturdy, but no screen protector included. Otherwise, feels like my phone is well protected.

The case is great phone protection, it seems to want to slide around the back is slightly slippery.

Not a full coverage case of old otter box but provides good protection.
