Pebble health is terrible. Step count is inaccurate. Hundreds of steps counted while driving.

Disappointed After a Lot of Research

I did a lot of research on smart watches and fitness trackers prior to Christmas. The one name I kept running across was Pebble, so I found the Pebble Time, which was in my price range, and purchased it as a gift. At first, it worked great. We were really happy with the ability to customize the watch face, the step tracking seemed pretty accurate, and text messages and phone calls came through at the same time as they came through on the cell phone. However, three days after using the watch, the screen went completely black. You could see the backlight come on, and it would still vibrate when any notifications came through on the phone. After trying everything we could think of, and any tips on forums that we could find (we found on forums that this is unfortunately a fairly common issue with the Pebble Time watches) we decided to return it and exchange it for a different smart watch or activity tracker, we haven't decided on which yet. The watch was just what we needed while it worked, but very disappointed that after three days we had to return it.

Pebble should have included a pair of glasses and a flashlight with this "watch" as you will need both to tell the time! The display is small and the backlight so dim it's difficult to see even in abundant light. The bezel takes up too much space which should have been reduced to expand the screen. There is a wide variety of watch faces, but again it's pretty useless if you can barely see them. The only positives of this watch is that it is light and comfortable. If you are considering purchasing a smartwatch, shop around. Take a serious look at the Asus Zenwatch 2 which is $50 to $70 less, has a large vibrant display, classic looks, a more attractive robust app selection and, a touchscreen!

    Battery life isn't everything

I was attracted to the Pebble Time because of it's battery life. After using the watch for about 24 hours I decided to return it. The biggest reason for my decision was the lack of integration with my iPhone. I was aware of this limitation before purchasing but it was far worse than I imagined it would be--especially notifications. The apps were also lacking. Both in quality and what apps are available. My phone battery also drained significantly faster when I had the Pebble paired. I ended up purchasing an Apple Watch 38mm. I have to charge the Apple Watch every night but it makes it through the day. Fitness tracking is better on the Apple Watch too. Overall the Apple Watch has served my needs better than the Pebble ever could have.

    limited on iOS

on iOS some of it's functions are limited compared to what it can do on android. if you are simply looking for something to get notifications or control your music it works fine, but with the limitations and the iOS limitations I don't think it is worth it if you are on an iphone. variety of watch faces and the battery life are excellent though. so it is a great watch but not smart enough for the price imo. returning this in the morning.

    No further development, Pebble shutdown

I have enjoyed by Pebble Time since it was introduced. It offers 6 days of battery life and just enough features to make it useful without being to complex for a small screen device. Since Pebble is now out of business there will be no further development and their servers may soon be shutdown. OK if you get a great price and do not expect it to work for aa long period.

    Not worth the money

After reading the reviews, and finding this watch on sale I decided to make the purchase. While the Pebble time is not a terrible watch, I do not think it warrants the $199 price tag. Pros The watch is compatible with both iOS and Android. The battery life is great. There are tons of watch faces and apps. Cons There is no touch screen. The OS is buggy. The interface is very juvenile. The plastic body looks and feels cheap. iOS functionality is limited. Bottom Line There are much better options out there in this price point. If the watch was say $50 it would be a better option.

I pre ordered this over the apple watch because it was cheaper , and it seemed to be great. I got it and I can't reply to messages can't use the voice text NOTHING! I can't use 50% of the features. Doesn't make sense. I have googled it they blame it on Apple which okay that's fine but I also blame pebble they should only say this will fully work on the android. Very very disappointed going to return this and just wait for a watch that can do what I need it to do!

I was very excited to receive this watch. When I became using it I was very underwhelmed. The backlight is NOWHERE near as bright as is shown in advertisements. Yes, I updated the firmware, but still not as bright as advertised.. Also unit scratches so easily. Will be returning.

I didn't keep it. It was more like a toy than a real watch. It wasn't easy to use and had limited uses. I returned it and bought an Apple watch instead. I love my Apple watch. I wanted to love the Pebble, but I really didn't .
