Not as Bad as lead to believe

When I went from Windows to Mac's the only MUST was getting accumulated date for 15 years over to Mac version Quicken. Read many horror stories but decided had enough Windows to last a lifetime and took a chance. Hated paying MORE, 69;95 for program I usually bought for much less but bit the bullet what choice do you have? I won't say that carrying over data was easy but not as horrible as I had read. Upon checking accuracy of data did find a couple small errors but eventually got everything sorted out way I needed and accurately, Having used it for 7 months now I find I actually like it better that Windows version though operates considerably different menu wise. I would say this, if continuing to use Quicken is only thing holding you back from changing over to Apple do yourself a favor and make the change. I love my Mac and I can live with this Quicken just fine and I do a LOT of financial especially stock on it. I DO NOT upload directly from banks though preferring to manually add and therefore cross check data keeping others programs from downloading info to my books.

Essential for Apple Power PC Users

Get it while it's still available. The current Apple "Quicken" product is a very poor downgrade from the original - which is a poor substitute for the PC version. Still it is a vital upgrade - no longer available from most sources. If you want to download your data to a better program you'll probably have to start here. And the rules on this blog suck!

    Quicken 2007 for MAC

OK program, a lot of features I'll not use, but they are there. My biggest compliant is the fonts are to small and I had to change my screen resolution to be able to read in the check registers. I would recommend to someone only if they had good eye sight.

This is somewhat a biased review. I am a long time user of quick books pro. I thought I would try quicken to help my wife on her computer. For me, I was not satisfied with the way it kept track of all the credit card accounts, and how payments were tracked in the checking account register, and applied payments. Probably not a bad choice for first time finance software users, but overall, IF you can afford the little extra for Quick Books, I would recommend that...

Not much if any different than Q2006

I thought that Intuit made significant changes to this version, but I am mistaken. It's appears to be the same as Q2006 except for the splash screen at program startup.

Quicken 2007 for Mac works as it is supposed to. This product is almost three years old, so of course you are going to have to go to Quicken.com and download a couple of updates... then you can download from your accounts, etc. First thing you should do before saying it doesn't work is check for updates and patches!!! I will be buying the 2010 for Mac when it comes out, but I needed this program now.

I couldn't be more disappointed with this product. I bought it because I thought it would automate the process of tracking my investments at various brokers. Unfortunately, after setting up the same account up four different times, it still downloads inaccurate data from the financial institution. What good is this software if you can't trust the information it provides?

I also used Quicken/Windows for years and also switched to an iMac to get away from Windows headaches. I was terrified I'd lose all my years of data so printed out every register. I need not have been worried; everything transfered over completely. My only problem was mine because I didn't follow the Converting Quicken for Windows File to Quicken for Mac Instructions exactly as stated.
