    Not much instructions on how to use the remote starter: valet, bluetooth smart function, stop and go. Geek squad told us about turning keys before stepping on breaks. There is also a bright led light installed by the mirror. It's on all the time and is very bright at night. Call see my dashboard. Hopefully it's won't attract thieves. For some reason, install said that Honda keyfob does not work with this system. Go for a 2-way system.

      Hi utcpt - I’m sorry that you didn’t get a good overview of how to best use your new remote start, and that some of the features aren’t to your liking. The folks that did the install should have made sure you were comfortable with it before you left. My best advice for you would be to call your local store to see if they can set up a time for you to go over the operation and features of your remote start with one of our Autotechs.     Well for one, the product automatic start doesnt work. We have been in twice to get it fixed. The entire process of the installation was absolutely terrible. First off, i went to my first appointment and all the parts werent in stock, so i needed to reschedule. This would have been nice to know, since i took the day off of work for my appointment. I went to my second appointment, only to find out the installer had quit and i needed to go to another location about 45 minutes away. I get there and of course there is zero parts. The installer was extremely rude, yelling and confrontational. He told me that because i was late (obviously not my fault and only 15 minutes) he couldnt do the install in time. He said his next appointment was 45 days away. That didnt work because this was a christmas present. The installer then said he was so mad he punched a hole in the wall. The manager said he was a hot head but he did really good work. It made me extremely uncomfortable. We picked up the car and the automatic start didnt work. We brought the car back in, it started working for 6ish hours. The installer said he was going to quit and that if it didnt work we wouldnt have anyone to fix it. Now i am here, $400 out of pocket with nothing.

    Scheduling nightmare

    Bought this due to having a location close enough for an easy drop off. Went online per instructions and schedule install with about 3 week wait. Not bad considering the reviews. A week and a half later, received a call from the only installer at the store. He had never installed a remote start, and would not start with mine. Only option given was to reschedule at another store. The only other one within a reasonable distance is so booked they don’t even offer availability. Time for a refund.

I recommend speaking with a Best Buy store manager at the location where the installation was scheduled to share this feedback if you have the opportunity.
