I felt a lot safer having one, but recently, break ins have picked up again so I purchased a second. Havinf a second angle has given me full view of our yard and cars. I connected it to a solar panel (easy) and now dont worry anout batteries! Awesome purchase for nervous home owners!!

I bought 3 cameras, I was going to get the solar panels but testing battery life first. The two cameras that get Sun most of the day the battery life is one month. The 3rd is in shaded area and it’s going strong so far 2 months + I recommend buying extra batteries each camera holds two batteries for longer lasting

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring Spotlight Cam Plus is an outdoor security camera designed to provide you with the ability to customize your camera's zone coverage, motion settings and light settings in the Ring app. The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus has two 3000° Kelvin lights with an output of 2000 lumens and an in-app brightness adjustment slider. To adjust the brightness of your lights, please follow these steps in the Ring app: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap Devices. Select the camera that you want to adjust. Select Device Settings. Select Light Settings. Select Light Brightness and adjust the slider to make the lights brighter or dimmer.

I like how it’s in sync with my other ring camera so the light will also turn on at night in case of other movement out there. You also get updates form other ring users around your neighborhood in the app.

I can see cars go by, but I can’t see their license plate number, but overall good. I wish that ring would make a camera 360 for outside.
