Love these camera's. Easy to set up, and hang with solar panels. Easy battery changes

Set up was easy. After a few weeks the batteries are holding a good charge. There seems to be a little delay in the recording but we don’t miss much, that’s the only reason for 4 stars.

I really like this spotcam. I would have given 5 stars if the light were a little brighter.

Has a lot of clariety and worls realky well. We love it amd works well with out other ring cameras.

These cameras work better than my surveillance cameras that i paid big money for. Ring is the way to go

We needed a camera to cover our euonomous plants. Deer had taken a liking to them, so we needed a way to run them off when they came for dinner. This camera was perfect. It was placed right above the seven bushes; the spot lights were triggered and we were informed any time they show up... Our plants are recovering and regaining their leaves quickly.

I'm only generously giving this Ring cam a 2 based on previous and current uses of their similar products. I have 4 previous versions of the Ring Spotlight cam that works flawlessly (5 star). I purchased this new Ring Spotlight Plus cam which looks identical with the exception of it now uses an adapter for usb-c solar (option power charging source). This cam hasn't lasted a full day after installing. So, I had to trouble shoot and discovered it had a faulty battery. Too late because Best Buy has a 14 day return policy, We've only recently had it installed and discovered the issue on day 27. I will now have to contact "Ring" to see if they'll replace the faulty battery. I used an old battery from one of the other devices and discovered the problem. Other than the usb-c charging power option (which still requires a functioning battery), I'm not sure what the difference is between the "plus" and the previous camera version. They both require battery to use solar power. Solar allows the battery to stay charged without having to remove it from device/camera. Only recommend the product if not defective.

I put up 4 of these around my house mainly to keep tabs on my dogs but they are good for security to.

Great product and easy setup. Hardwired it to my patio hanging light and didn’t have any issues.

I purchased this camera to light and view my driveway and some of the area on either side of it. I bought this battery powered unit because I didn't have an electrical connection on the outside wall of the house. The quality of the camera appears to be good and the setup was easy. The motion detection and videos are good. The "Spotlight" function, however, is disappointing in that it remains on for only 10 seconds when motion is detected at night. When I pull into my driveway the spotlight will activate and go off before I exit my vehicle. I'm still familiarizing myself to the functions of this product, so maybe I'm missing something here. I understand that the spotlight can be activated from the app but I don't want to sit in the vehicle and use the app to activate the light. There should be a way in the Ring app to control and extend the duration of the light when activated by motion. Ring apparently limits the spotlight to 10 seconds in order to conserve battery power but at least 30 seconds would be more acceptable. The responsibility of keeping the unit charged should be left to the user and not governed by Ring. It's been less than a month since I installed this unit so hopefully I'll grow to like it. This unit is not inexpensive and I hoped for more.
