The features and technology provided by the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.
The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus and some models of Ring Security Cameras are weather resistant, but certain weather conditions may still affect your device. If you have condensation on the lens of your Doorbell or Camera, we recommend gently cleaning it with a dry microfiber cloth. With some colder weather condensation is normal behavior for our devices similar as to when your car window fogs up. We recommend some form of cleaner/protectant to help stop the build up of the condensation.

The max distance for the motion sensors is really not that great. A person can come really close to your camera before the light sensor is activated, even with the most sensitive setting turned on. Overall an okay camera for the price.

It sounds like the device is not detecting motion as intended. Spotlight Cam Plus is an outdoor security camera that includes advanced video, audio, connectivity, and motion detection features. The product provides outdoor coverage for common blind spot areas in clear HDR. We recommend installing the camera 8-10 feet from the ground for optimal performance.
The Spotlight Cam Plus is designed with two 3000° Kelvin spotlights and customizable light settings to provide you with the ability to adjust the lights according to your needs.
To adjust the light settings of your Ring Spotlight Cam Plus, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Spotlight Cam Plus that you want to adjust.
Select Device Settings.
Select Light Settings.
We also recommend adjusting your Motion Sensitivity and Motion Zones to suit your needs. Using your Motion Control settings, you can adjust the range and distance at which motion will turn on your Spotlight Cam Plus.
To improve motion accuracy, under Motion Settings for your device in the Ring app you can:
Adjust your Motion Sensitivity slider.
Redraw your Customizable Motion Zones.
Change Motion Frequency to frequently.
Your camera uses passive infrared detectors (PIR) to detect motion in three 90 degree arcs around the device. You can turn these on or off independently from each other.

It lights up when I go out and turns off all by itself. I can even talk to them from my chair . And I can listen to them too .

But the ability to hold charge or remain on “ON” status is still questionable as it often tells me my unit is offline but all the others are working. But overall it is a very good product. My entire house runs on Ring products and has served me very well and have kept my family safe all these years.
