165hz is amazing however, be prepared to dedicate some time getting it setup. Turning on some options turns others off so it takes awhile to find a good overall picture. The curve is great and it's plenty bright enough. I mounted mine because the stand is terrible. In fact, I wouldn't have purchased this monitor if I had to use the supplied stand.

I've only had this monitor for a couple weeks and I love it. The quality is so clear. I love the curved screen for immersion gaming but its also nice if you're working. You don't have to rotate your head back and forth like if you were using 2 screens. And lots of space if you want to have your email up on half the screen and use the other half for a different task. Only issue was that it did not come with an HDMI cord, it came with a display port, which doesn't exist on my laptop so I had to purchase an HDMI to be able to use it. Some day I'll have a desktop and that wouldn't be an issue. So it won't effect my star rating.

Great screen, the only things is that push bottom multipurpose that it will break easy...

We recently purchased the Samsung 34” Odyssey G5 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. I started a remote job in the last month or so and this monitor has been invaluable to my ability to do my job efficiently. I used to juggle several windows on a 17" laptop screen, and now I have 34" of ultrawide monitor so I can open 3-4 static windows and have room for more on top of that. So much better. I haven't had a chance to play many games on it, but I'm hoping to soon. I'm sure it will be a great experience. This is my first curved monitor and my second 34" ultrawide and I love it. Samsung (usually) makes great products and this is no exception. The only thing I do not like is the lack of built-in speakers.

The Odyssey G5 was a pretty great monitor. The curve was a bit deep at first glance but I honestly didn't notice it as I used it and was pretty consistent even at different angles. The only problem I had was ghosting and that primarily on screens with a dark background. Also, the cable slots on the back were not the greatest since you had to angle your wires awkwardly, but other than those 2 caveats, pretty great monitor.

Great specs for gaming. Got “open box Excellent” and it was perfect and saved $200. Wide and curved is perfect for gaming Samsung has been my choice for over 25 years.

Great picture. The curve is really comfortable on your eyes. Haven’t had any issues with any of the games I play. The stand is very cheap and flimsy. The button takes some getting used to and accessing the ports on the back with this flimsy stand is a bit precarious at best. Overall not a bad gaming monitor.

The monitor was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. I purchased it for my 13 year old son, and he absolutely loves it. He’s an avid gamer and immediately noticed how great the picture quality is. The colors are vibrant, bright, and not dull at all, which really enhances his gaming experience. He’s also very happy with the size of the monitor, saying it gives him a more immersive feel while playing. Overall, this was a great purchase and exceeded our expectations. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend.

Hey so far so good. My son has it connected to a PS5 and he loves it. With a quality hdmi cable there is very little noticeable latency. And the picture looks superb for price point

Bought this for its curvature (1000R). It's not used for playing fast motion games but for work, so I can't speak for that. The scrolling text (spreadsheet, browsers) are visibly smoother than a 60Hz monitor. Text are also sharp and color is good. I used a wall mount for the monitor, as I wanted to have clearance under not taking up by the included stand. Ran into an issue of monitor couldn't power / resume after going into sleep (removed laptop). Took many tries over couple of hours, but end it up able to get display showing after unplugging for more than couple of minutes and click the "joystick" twice. Manual said only click once.

This is a great monitor in games I can see everything and it is also great for productivity with being able to have multiple apps on the screen at once

Great screen. I use it for racing games. Love it. No speakers and only two ports one hdmi and dp. If you can live with that, and get it on sale, its great.

Great screen to use as a second monitor for work. Allows for numerous documents to be open at the same time with the ability to see them. My only dislike per se is the toggle on the bottom of the screen to turn screen on and off and to make screen adjustments. I also haven't figured out how to move the screen up or down for better viewing depending on where I am sitting.

I bought it without knowing much about monitors and I realized that the VA panel is not for me. it has very little contrast. if you looked for a curved panel with good colors. make sure it is OLED or IPS does VA no look good

WOW! This screen is awesome. My son uses it for gaming and I use it for work. Makes me more productive and my son loves how smooth the refresh rate is.
