I actually purchased this television on Black Friday. I originally went in looking to buy a different smart tv with roku. But as I ran in and freed my ankle from a older lady cart that had a death grip on my ankle. I saw this tv for the same price as other brand. I quickly change my priority to this tv, and snatched one as everyone else was doing so. Man was that the best decision ever. And besides my ankle the shopping experience was very organized. My wife and daughter love being able to watch netflix and YouTube from the tv without having to the PlayStation. Sorry the camera does no justice for the tv.

Bought this television to replace a 10 year old plasma TV during this year's Black Friday deal (2016). After reading the reviews and all the pros and cons that other buyers have rated this television at, I decided to buy this television. For the price that I paid for this television, I'm not going to expect much. All I needed was a name-brand television that can be wall mounted in my bedroom, has a good picture with decent sound, and would fit my budget without breaking the bank. This television met all my criterias. It weighs significantly less than my old plasma television despite having an 8" bigger screen, and wall mounting it to my existing bracket was a breeze. Good enough sound quality and picture, though watching fast action sporting events, you can definitely tell that this has a natural 60Hz refresh rate. It has one antenna in, two HDMI inputs which was enough for my needs, along with a USB power port to power your HDMI peripherals (Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire, etc.) and an optical audio output. Overall, if you aren't needing the best out there but instead and wanted a decent size screen TV from a reputable manufacturer while on a budget, I would recommend taking a close look at this one.

Finished quality is typical of Samsung products. Great picture and streaming of online content through wireless connection. Easy to follow setup, with on-sceen walkthrough. One point to make is that it does not come with bolts for mounting. I installed on an existing mount and had to run to hardware store for bolts as the threads are deeply recessed on the back of the tv and the bolts that came with the mount were not long enough. The specifications also did not list the coax input so I was happy to see that it had one for hook up of the off-air antenna.

This is probably the best 50"+ Smart TV, 1080p, under $500. I honestly had every intention to buy a 4K ready TV but I'm glad I went with this version. The picture quality is great out of the box but its worth it to google calibration settings and tweak the stock settings.

Easy set up and very light. Only issues I have is that legs are very short, but it makes cense since it will make tv more stable. Also make sure your furniture is long enough because the legs of tv are close edge of tv.

I have been looking for a new TV for a while now and purchased this Samsung to replace an older, much smaller flat screen. The initial set up of the TV is very simple, you unbox, screw in the feet, plug in your Ethernet and cable and turn it on, it will automatically walk you through an on screen set up and update the TV for you. However, when it comes to setting up the features it is a bit more complex. The printed User Manual that comes with it is fairly useless with respect to any of the functions of the TV, you do need to rely on the e-manual (which is a button on the remote) for information on channel set up, basic use and more. It is convenient in that you do not have to go looking for a manual or look up any questions you might have online. I found myself using it quite a bit during the initial set up and use. The Smart Features: If you are not familiar with Smart TV's there is a small learning curve, having used a Roku for years it wasn't too difficult to set up my favorite apps, most were already installed, and add a few new ones. Compared to the Roku however, there are far fewer apps available. My biggest complaint was that I often watch national news with my Roku and my favorite apps/channels were not available, even after extensive searching. I did find though that it had far more free games than my Roku did, so that was a plus. The browser is functional, but navigating with your remote is a pain, I happened to own a mini keyboard that has a mouse function built in that uses a USB dongle and I would suggest that to anyone who intends to use the browser function often. Overall I am fairly pleased with the Smart ability of the TV but will most likely continue to use my Roku for channels/apps that are not available. There are many features I've not even begun to access or use at this time which include gaming features by using a gaming controller. Picture, Sound etc. After initial set up I ran through my local cable channels, the system easily found them and the nice thing was that it found many channels my old TV couldn't therefor saving me money on not having to rent a box to descramble free on air HD channels and many local HD channels that my carrier has stripped from it's line unless you do rent the box. We only have basic local cable, we pulled the plug a long time ago and have relied solely on our Roku for watching TV due to the rising prices of premium cable. I have not yet tested the antenna but plan to do so. The picture quality is amazing and has several pre-set settings that are easy to change using the Menu. According the specifications it's an actual LED TV and not an LCD TV, which according to my research can be an interchangeable word. If you look at other TV's in the same price range they all are LCD's which is why I did pick this model. The box does indicate that it has a 60hz refresh rate, the site indicates 120, and I could not find anything anywhere which confirmed the stated 120 online. Some may find this a deterrent but I would not as I do not feel it's a huge impact for my needs. The Sports Mode is quite cool, it's a single button that auto brightens the picture and adjust sound to be more of a surround sound and has a cool zoom function on it. It does hesitate for a moment when switching to this function but once it does it's smooth play. I actually like this mode for watching anything with lots of music. The sound is pretty good, it's not stellar, there are several different modes for sound such as Movie, Music, etc. and again the sound can easily be adjusted with the menu. I think that adding a sound system or sound bar would add to the overall quality. The remote is fairly large with small buttons and there are a lot of buttons, some are outlined in the printed manual, but the e-manual does a better job at explaining their features and functions. It is a bit too easy to hit the wrong button due to their size and location if not paying attention. Overall I think this is a great TV for the price I paid (pre Black Friday Sale). I have always purchased Samsung TV"s and have always been impressed with their quality and this one does not fall short of my previous experiences. I do miss many of the features of my Roku (which is solved by simply using my existing Roku box), but I will say that the Internet Browser function is much better than the Roku alternative, which severely lacks at this point in time.

I bought this tv during a pre-black Friday sale for My Best Buy program members. I purchased the tv for about 1/2 off. The only complaint about the purchase is that when I bought it Best Buy stated that this tv was 120 refresh rate tv but a couple of weeks later changed that to 60. No apology nor offer to make up for the mistake was or has been made. As for the tv, it was a gift for my daughter who just moved into a new apartment. The tv is the perfect size and hangs on the wall quite nicely as it is extremely light and thin. The picture is quite good all around, very vibrant. The only negatives are there are only 2 HDMI inputs and the plastic frame is a dust magnet!.

Black Friday tv. I read reviews and was iffy, so I actually went for a Sharp, but it was sold out. We decided to get this, because the price was still great and we had until January to return it. No need. It's been awesome for my needs. I only wanted a smart tv for my bedroom so I could watch Hulu, Netflix and HBO Go without the Apple TV or bluray player hassle of switching modes every time and having different remotes. All I do is switch it on, press smart hub and choose which app I want. Once, it was very slow to load the apps, saying "preparing tv" but that might be my internet or wifi, I don't know. The sound is great, and I have a pretty big bedroom. That was what worried me, but no problems there. The resolution Is fine, clear, no blurs or anything that I've noticed. I don't care about hd programming, though. I just like a good picture. We couldn't find the power button on the tv until we looked through the manual. It's hidden back and underneath, so at first I was worried we'd have a useless tv if the remote was lost, but we found it! And it pops up the choices to change on the bottom right of the screen, like a computer. I'm glad I got the tv. Great price for a, so far, good quality 50" tv for regular programming. It's my first Samsung.

i purchased this TV for my mom. The set up is pretty simple. The picture is clear as advertise. The smart set up is little challenge for my mom at the begining to use but once she got use to it, it was a breeze. She love this TV compare to the one she replaced Sony, The picture is clear and bright. Overall she loves this TV.
