Great TV for the size & price

I previously had a bad experience with a Samsung TV going bad after a year due to bad capacitors, so I was hesitant to buy another Samsung. After doing some homework and comparing a few different TVs I was interested in, I settled on this one. Mainly due to the curved screen, price, ability to fit on my entertainment center and positive comments. After owning this a couple of weeks, I am very pleased so far. Picture quality is outstanding with certain calibration settings. I paired this with the Samsung M9500 blu ray player and my movies look as if they were remade with the upscaled picture. Coming from an LG IPS panel TV this is a big step up in picture quality. Speaking of, it is nice to be rid of the "dirty screen effect" that plagues that type of TV. This does not have that issue, although black uniformity is not perfect on this one with some clouding near the edges. On some of the comments about viewing angles being wide though, completely disagree. This and several other curved screen TVs are NOT designed for wide viewing angles. Viewed from the sides the pictured becomes washed out. This is definitely a TV for viewing directly center or pretty close. If you need a wide viewing angle for a large room, this is probably not the TV for you. If you want to try my calibration settings, here they are: Picture Mode: Movie Expert Settings: Backlight: 34 (I do have ambient lighting enabled though, so actually it is lower depending on the room lighting). Brightness: -2 Contrast: 45 Sharpness: 5 Color: 25 Tint: 0 Digital Clean View: Low Auto Motion Plus: Custom, 6-8 (Turn off or low value if you don't like the 3D or "soap opera effect" which can cause the picture to "stutter" just a bit) Contrast Enhancer: Off Color Tone: Warm 2 Gamma: 0 RGB: off Color Space: Auto Last note, I place my center channel speaker behind the TV so I use rubber noise isolation feet to raise the TV an inch & give the speaker enough clearance so the tweeter is completely exposed.

I bought this TV at the end of January 2019. It was hooked up and working perfectly. Crisp, clear picture and when mounted the curved 4k looks great. After about a month the tv would start shutting on and off. I looked online for ways to fix the problem and tried every possibly thing until finally decided to call Samsung Support. I unplugged everything from the tv and would check it on an everyday basis to see if the problem fixed itself. No luck. After about a week the technician was set to come and of course when comes to look at the tv he says it was working on its own. I was at work at the time, but I told him it would constantly turn on and I was unable to use it. He said he didn't see any problems. Maybe having the tv unplugged for a long time did something or maybe he did fix it and made it seem like I 'm crazy. Either way I told him to reset the tv to factory settings and then to update the firmware. OK great. I have a working tv again! Two weeks pass and another issue pops up. Instead of the tv turning on and off now, the accessibility shortcuts keep popping up on my screen. I am unable to watch tv again. Everything is unplugged and I am awaiting another service technician to come to my house and tell me the tv is fine...again. I got rid of my old 2007 Samsung because the tv kept turning on and off. That helped me make my decision to buy a new tv. Never did I think I would have the same issues and more with a tv that is brand new. Very dissatisfied. Picture attached. Not sure what Samsung will do to rectify this. I'm about to toss this tv if another issue occurs and never buy a Samsung again.

Great TV, easy to set up, but ABSOLUTELY !!!!, the poorest sound quality that I have ever encountered in my seventy years on this planet. Even after setting the volume to the max. level and fine tuning the bass and treble, the audio was still unacceptable . I ended up having to buy a Sony sound bar to correct this situation. But the thing that was the most upsetting to me was the offer of "30 days of free SLING TV" with purchase. Now, let me back up a couple of weeks. I had also purchased a FIRE STICK from Best Buy. It also had the same SLING TV offer. I subscribe to SLING every year from April thru Sept. to watch MLB, since I don't have cable. When I bought the FIRE STICK, and the TV, I asked the sales person if I could save my free 30 day trial offer until baseball season, and and run them , back to back, giving me 60 days of free SLING TV. I was told there would be no problem doing that, and there was, also no expiration date. Now, in April, when I reopened my Sling account, I was informed that this offer was only valid for new Sling customers. I went back to Best Buy to inform them of my situation and to see what could be done about it. After a half hour in the store, talking to 3 different people, with absolutely no positive results, I left, Best Buy's free offer cost me an additional $50.00 for the free Sling TV that they had offered. Just beware of any money saving deals that Best Buy offers you....it's gonna cost you more in the long run.

Ok, this TV is great especially for the price. The picture is vibrant and clear. I had the 7100 non curve at first, but that one was just dark and grainy. I had to exchange it. I saw the 7300 which is only $50 more for a curved. I am so glad I was able to exchange it within my return period. I use the TV for movies and games (PS4 Pro, XB1X and Switch) and I have no issues whatsoever. The only thing is that there's one app that I always delete but just keep on coming back. It's the same with the 7100. This is nitpicking tho. I just want the TV clean and free from stuff that I don't need. But I can live with it. Bluetooth. Yes, the TV does NOT have Bluetooth. It would be nice, but then again, it's ok given the price of the TV. I just need to be understanding and not complain. However, I bought a MEE audio Bluetooth transmitter that I attached to the tv via the optical connection and was able to pair it to my bluetooth headphones so I can watch privately and wirelessly. All in all, I am VERY happy with my purchase.

Great TV The 2.4 WiFi doesn’t matter

I have seen some reviews complaining about it only sets up for 2.4 Wi-Fi. This is actually true but it doesn’t really matter . I saw where one person actually sent the TV back because it only set up for 2.4 but it really doesn’t matter because it will take the Wi-Fi if your router is 5.0 it doesn’t make any difference and the real kicker is it has the best Wi-Fi connection of any smart TV I’ve ever had and I have three at the moment my house is pretty big. When I go on Netflix and do the test to see what it is bringing in it brings in 97.80 My TVs the other two that you can set up for 5G they are never over 20 or 25mps at best.. even though this TV will only set up for 2.4 Wi-Fi it picks up and receives the signal better than any TV I have that picks up the five signal. I have a 55“ x 60“ and now the 65 inch it picks up four times better so I think the guy might’ve made a mistake sending it back because it only picks up 2.4. As far as the curved picture I think it’s about the same as the flat. Both are just incredible!!!

Picture quality, ease of apps, streaming connectivity, all great. My only issue is with the settings menu. There are so few options that are customizable it's severely lacking in my medium - high tech household. I have a Samsung soundbar w/sub and the two act like they've never met one another. Have had it for almost a month and STILL have not been able to get the soundbar to work properly with this TV. I'm using an optical input and the sync between the two is nonexistent. I may go hdmi for sound but there's only 3 available so I don't want to do that. If anyone sees what I'm missing shoot me a reply but the "simpleness" they tout as a positive has been nothing but a headache so far. Don't forget I said the picture quality and everything else was great! but if you are techie, you better be really techie cause this soundbar issue has befuddled me.

In two days I found that the wireless network connection is far slow than what I receive on other devices. Never dream of watching 4k on this if your wireless connection is less than 50 Gb or use fast wired connection. The wireless network also drops randomly, it is a bit of frustration to me. You cannot download android apps, the apps has to be on samsumgs OS Tanzen; since the apps are very expensive to be on this OS, apps that are free on android will cost you here. Speakers are poor..my 2008 Samsung tv had far better speakers, they brought down the quality. I wanted to return it but too old to carry it back to the store and get a better one. also, no Bluetooth and no 5ghz wireless. If you are buying in 2019, go for higher model, this model has a modest discount as it will be soon phased out. Also, I was asked to take a extended service plan as the BB customer service themselves told me that samsung's newer tv does not have the same quality as my 2008 model.

I dont even know how to explain the newly gained experiences I have with this TV! From the picture quality to the sound quality to the features it holds inside! Its truly amazing! I’ve previously owned a Vizio smart tv 48inch at 1080p and thought it was time for an upgrade so I thought why not 4k and curved!? Totally worth the leap! I can connect to the software through my iphone on an app and other than the better picture and sound quality overall, the fact that i can actually surf the the internet on this tv is amazing! I mean the actual INTERNET! I can search up websites and everything! Just amazing! Have already recommended this to so many people! Probably the best product i’ve invested in with the samsung soundbars as well!

I just purchased my NU7300 3 days ago and was initially happy with it, until I found out how awful the WiFi connection this TV receives. Because this TV only receives 2.4GHz WiFi connections, it cannot pull enough internet to stream 4K, and hardily 1080p quality. I tested the WiFi speed (using Fast.com - Netflix’s WiFi speed tester) on the tv’s internet browser and it would get anywhere from 1.5-2.4Mbps. To make sure it was the TV’s connection, I tested the same 2.4GHz connection on my iPhone 7 and Xbox One X, both on Fast.com. Both devices got a reading ranging from 36-53Mbps. This makes it impossible to enjoy the 4K quality you pay for unless you have a device like an Xbox One X that can handle the needed 20+Mbps speed for 4K. Overall, I’m very fusterated. Is there a known threshold these TV’s can download? Maybe I got a TV with a bad WiFi receiver? Samsung what kind of stats do you have for this TV’s expected WiFi capabilities.

Beautiful tv overall. 4k picture is really clean and crisp with my xbox one x. I decided not to wall mount the tv and use the provided legs instead. I noticed corner flashlighting on the bottom two corners instanly and any movie with with letterbox was unwatchable. I have tried to loosen the legs a bit and turn down the backlight which has helped. I may try to wall mount which im hoping will eliminate the flashlighting in the corners. Any 16:9 movie looks amazing, but almost all UHD 4k movies are not that format. The curved screen is barely noticable, but it does make the tv seem bigger somehow. Overall i would recommend, but would probably suggest a wall mount for this one.

I bought this tv after bringing back a 50 inch Samsung which their was nothing wrong with, I just wanted something with the bigger screen. So glad I did, I opted for the this tv bc for about an extra 100$ I got the model up from the 7100 and I liked the curve design of it. Very happy with my purchase. The 50 inch was fine but the 55 inch fits my stand perfectly and is a huge difference from the 50 inch. Great picture for the price and 4K pic is outstanding in my opinion. Yes could have gotten a way better picture but a fabulous tv for the money I spent. Love Samsung tvs. My previous was a 46 inch Samsung lcd which I had for about 10 years before deciding to upgrade to 4K. Will be purchasing a 4K Blu-ray player and sound bar next.

I originally purchased the open box version of this and had difficulties with the TV missing items that the listing originally said it would have. However Best Buy accommodated me and I was able to get a brand new one instead. The picture quality on this thing has been amazing. It’s my first curved TV and it looks great in my living room. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments. Sound could be louder but I paired it with a sound bar and it worked great. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a nice sized 4K tv for a small living room. I was originally going to mount it, but in my opinion, mounted curve TVs only look good when they’re bigger than 65”

My husband and I bought a brand new Samsung TV at Best Buy in Newington, CT. They loaded it into the back of our care and off we went. Once home, my husband started to try and assemble the feet to the TV. They wouldn't fit. Eventually we called to have the tv assembled by the Geek Squad. The technician found that not only did we not get the tv we paid for but the feet were to a different tv all together. The only thing that was correct was the box! Unknown tv and feet inside! The Best Buy exchanged that one and had another delivered but the second technician realize that there was a faulty cable wire and left us with a tv that didn't work. Finally, they sent a third technician who changed out the broken cable and fixed the tv . Two full weeks without a tv!

The BEST example of TV viewing. The curve screen brings you in to the screen. Very sharp, very vibrant colors. The larger TV size you buy, we recommend you buying a Curve screen as watching it straight on your eyes are more focused on what is happening. With a flat screen TV the more action is displayed on the screen, your eyes naturally go back and forth, and it gave me a headache. With the curve screen your peripheral vision keeps you focused on the entire action going on. Being that this tv is a Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR, you see EVERYTHING! I mean every little detail that was basically *hidden* in past older television sets. We are enjoying watching tv now.

I was going to get a different brand but then noticed this one as an open box item. I was able to see another curved TV on display and I really liked it so I decided to try this one. And after owning it now for almost a month, I am completely happy with it. I was able to sync my phone and use it as a remote. I can't get over how beautiful the picture is. I upgraded from a 46" insignia that I had purchased 7 years ago, and what a difference! I paid less for this TV than I did for the one I bought 7 years ago, which is also a good thing.

I bought this TV for my new place and love it . Perfect size , amazing picture , I seriously have no complaints . I’m not a big TV person who can go into specific details about everything , but the quality of the tv seems really good to me and it’s user friendly (really easy to set up Netflix , Hulu , etc ..) Another thing I love about the tv is , no matter where you are in the room because it’s curved you can still see the tv so it’s a great to entertain guests . I’m happy and satisfied with my purchase .

Bought this TV today, Oct. 31st, took awhile to set it up, but I am old and a little slow. I got this Model because it a 1 Composite input & 1 Component input have an old DVD and an VHS player very disappointed that you have to unwire one and wire in the other to use, said it had one each input a little iffy there, still haven't gotten DVD to play correct noise & bad picture wired per instructions but may have to wire differently . I was hoping to avoid buying a new DVD player also hoped to still be able to watch VHS, TV is suppose to be 4 K don't notice much difference from 1080!

Purchased in January 2019. By late March, the screen displayed a flashing bar. It would last a few days then go away and then redisplays on the screen. It is incredibly disappointing and we can't get an exchange since the issue occurred after the deadline of the stores return policy. I am out of luck and money on this tv. We’ve had this TV for about a month now, and it performs wonderfully! We mounted it on the wall in our bedroom, and it paired great with the mount the salesperson recommended. Went up super smooth & easy. Picture is crystal clear, bright & sharp. The curved screen works well with our space, so we both have perfect viewing angles in bed. The smart functionality performs very well. All we use it for is simple stuff like Netflix and YouTube, streaming videos and such, but i find the interface is very convenient and easy to use.

It’s definitely a true 4K tv the only thing negative I have to say is it’s abi to adapt to other picture formats is minimal. I had to request a 4K box from my cable provider for the picture to not look so digital. Other than that it works great for people with an XBox one X or PS4 Pro. Solid clarity nice volume levels for the sales price I purchased it at 529, It was a steal.
