Customers regard the CHG9 Series monitor's large screen size and curved display as impressive and well-suited for gaming and multitasking. Many appreciate the monitor's quality and ease of use, although some find the resolution and lack of built-in speakers to be shortcomings. The weight and stand design also received mixed feedback. Overall, the monitor is praised for its immersive gaming experience and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

At first I was curious if this monitor was a overkill, but since I’ve set it to my main gaming monitor and got it fixed with the rest of my setup, this monitor is the star piece of my setup. The clarity and just overall quality is OUTSTANDING!

I've had several setups with multiple monitors. Prior to purchasing this monitor I had 3 - 27" IPS monitors and loved them, then I saw this 49" Samsung at a store display and fell in love. With the huge width having a curved screen is a big help. They are pretty pricey but the price has dropped a couple of hundred bucks. This monitor basically takes the place of 2 - 27" monitors and you lose the bezel gap in between. Only down side is if it goes out it's another big outlay of money. If you run multiple monitors and one goes down you aren't out so much. This is my second (I broke the first one by accidentally cracking the screen) but I had to get another. I'm spoiled!

This monitor is Amazing! I finally decided to buy it since it was on sale. It makes to easy to do several things at once, by having several screens open. I use it for work and school and play some games on it. The only down side is that some games don't support the screen size.

Best super wide screen for the money ,Gaming performance is superb 144 MHz refresh rate and 1Ms respond time. The same as having two 27 inch monitor without black bar in between the screen. Also it can support two separate inputs as the same time

Awesome display! Colors look great! Works great for multi tasking and is seamless compared to dual or tri monitors. Easy set up and control from Windows. I wish it did have one or two more usb ports.

I was very scared about dead pixels and ghosting, as some other reviews said so, so I bought the extended warranty from Geek Squad at 106$ for 4-Years (best deal). They do cover dead pixels and ghosting, so I am worry free now. The screen is very beautiful and you need to see it in person, that thing is huuuge. It is the best screen for productivity and in-games immersion is phenomenal. Unseen before. It was either this screen or 3 separated smaller screens, but the bezel free huge screen is a must have, because you don't have any separations on the front of your eyes at all time, this one is surrounding you with pure content. I also bought a support arm to remove the stand that was too big and saved a lot of space on my desk and now it is just perfect. Thanks Best Buy for a smooth transaction and free shipping to my house ..... The screen is kinda expensive though.

Purchased this monitor mainly for productivity(I don't really game), and it has helped out greatly. Being able to have multiple things on a single display is the way to go. If you program, I highly recommend this monitor. The only thing that I did have difficulty with was setting up "Easy Setting Box" which is the screen splitting application for multiple windows. After getting in contact with Samsung I was able to obtain the app. I have included the link for anyone who needs to download it as it does not come with the monitor. https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/support/resources/product-support/easy+setting+box You will have to make an account.

Build quality is nice, the stand is sturdy and cable layout is ok. Monitor is huge requiring a good size desk, The display is good text is very legible and I do not notice some of the screening effects that i have seen on some reviews. I game at ultimate setting on COD Cold War using a RTX 3090 which is overkill for the monitor since it only performs at 1080P 144HZ. Purchased on sale for 750 and have no complaints. I do plan on stepping up to the upgraded newer 49" Samsung monitor at some point just because but this monitor is nice. I could see how working on this would be awesome as having three windows up simultaneously is not an issue visually.

    Awesome Monitor - It's like 2+ 27's all in one !

Brilliant monitor - replaced my two aging 24"s and I will never look back ! Did you ever purchase something you then just KNOW you can never go backwards from it ? That is this monitor. It's the equivalent of having two 27's side by side but with no annoying split in the middle and ... it's curved ! This makes for a productivity space that works like THREE monitors (ok like 2.75 ) instead of two. The curve keeps you from constantly refocusing every time you glance left / right. Less eyestrain ! Warning - be prepared to tweak the game mode settings unless you enjoy gaming in direct noon-day sun at the beach. The defaults are 100% brightness and 75% contrast. . . . Your eyeballs have been warned.

This is a really fantastic monitor for gaming and being able to see more on the screen. The only downside that I have came across is that there are no speakers. However, works awesome hooked up to a surround sound!

    Review from a Non-Gamer

I use it for business. Not a gamer. It works good for spread sheets and reviewing CAD files. The one issue is sharing the screen with others. The text shows up small because it is condensing a a 49” screen to whatever the user on the other end of the meeting has. Regardless, I’m giving it 5 stars because it helps me work efficiently. Also, if you’re going to purchase a mount; I suggest the ergotron 45-478-216 HX heavy duty wall mount as well as the separate attachment HX Heavy-Duty Tilt Pivot (Required to hold up Monitor!). I purchased a heavy duty desk mount originally but doesn’t rotate backwards and puts the massive screen right in your face. Hope this helps!

This thing is awesome. I have it on my desktop for work, managing multiple applications all at once, across this display and several others. It sits high enough that I can sit a docked ipad pro in front of it without blocking its screen at all. The base allows a good amount of swivel but you can't raise and lower the screen without sitting the base on something higher. I got this on sale, I probably wouldn't have paid full price for it but it is an amazing monitor so far. You won't get full resolution out of it (or at least I couldn't) without a display port so be aware that if your laptop doesn't have that you might not be able to take full advantage of the recommended resolution.

This monitor is great for office work. I have found that it is not a very clear picture and has a bit of 'fuzziness' to it but still works well with spreadsheets; email and video conferencing software. I do play a couple of games and it does the job just not as well as a true gaming monitor. On the other hand I do use it for World of Warcraft since most of the cut screens fill up the entire monitor. This is one game I think this monitor excels for playing. Easy to set up (if rather awkward to handle). Do not enable HDR on this monitor. I did have a bunch of tweaking to get the picture where I liked it but it has a really nice little joystick type of control for the adjustments.

I've been holding out on purchasing a ultrawide curved monior becuase I hate spending this much money but this purchase was well worth it. This is advertised as a gaming monitor and it is great for that purpose but it is also a HUGE productivity advantage when used as a work monitor. Its great not needing two monitors with the bezel breaking up content in the middle and this 49" beast allows me to easily read up to 6 windows open and visible at one time. I have named my monitor Betsy and she's now my best friend. It does take some time to find the best settings to view work related content so don't get discouraged. Once you find what works best for your PC or laptop, its a game changer

I have owned this monitor for about 9 months, and while I can't say it is perfect, I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent gaming on it. I was previously using my Samsung KS8000 49" UHD TV as a 1440p PC gaming monitor (mounted above my PC monitor/workstation area). While the KS800 worked well for the most part, I use it strictly for movie and TV now as the CHG9 has happily taken over the gaming reigns. I thoroughly enjoy the immersive experience with a "single" super ultra-wide monitor. A triple monitor setup is more immersive, sure, but for me I prefer the single monitor option without any bezels in the field of view. While the 1080p veitical resolution might seem like a setback, it isn't noticeable to me once I jump in and start playing. The colors (with deep blacks) and sharpness are excellent, both in gaming as well as desktop applications. HDR mode is a real treat, and even better in games than when I was using my KS8000, although I don't use it much as I prefer to be able to run games in borderless-windowed which normally doesn't support HDR. For desktop, when I'm working it is nice to have all my windows open on a single screen. And while I do still use a 2nd 27" monitor for work, it is more for convenience as the CHG9 would be sufficient for all the windows I normally run while I work. The only exception I have with the monitor and as to why I am docking it a star is the slow performance of the GUI. The built in menus are doggedly slow, particularly when the monitor goes to stand-by mode after not detecting a signal from a source. From this state, if I then want to switch to a different input, it takes 10-20 seconds after pushing the single "joystick" button to get the display to come out of stand-by so that I can switch inputs. For the price of this monitor, I would expect much better response from the GUI. I'm not sure if this is intentional and/or necessary due to being such a large display, but regardless even cheap entry-level monitors I've used over the years have a much faster response. The two LG 34" ultra-wide displays I've owned have an almost instantaneous response coming out of stand-by. Additionally, once the monitor goes to stand-by mode, it will not detect and autoswitch to another source if I power up a device on a source that's different from the last source used. For example, if the monitor goes to stand-by while on the HDMI input, if I then power up a device connected to the DisplayPort, the monitor will not come out of stand-by and switch to the DisplayPort, so I have to manually switch to that input, and of course this is after the 10-20 second wait for the monitor to come out of stand-by. For the price tag, I would have expected a remote control option which would really help as I do not sit within arm's length of the monitor. The monitor has its quirks, but overall I'm satisfied enough from a gaming and daily-desktop use that I can overlook my gripes.
