My old refrigerator died and I was forced to get something immediately - and something that would fit in a 1979 house with a fridge cubby (I had the width, but depth was a bit of a concern). I knew that I wanted a french door type, but didn't know much about them. A lot of the "3-door" fridges have a drawer that they claim has a bit of a different temperature, but you have to open both top doors and pull to open the lid and slide out, which drives me crazy because my first instinct is to open the lid and that makes them pop off. This fridge has a middle drawer that you can set from 29 (soft freeze) to 33 (cold beverages) and you can adjust the size of the compartments - so it is so versatile. I don't feel like the independent drawer sacrifices any space in the freezer or refrigerator. LED lighting is so cool, as are the 2 shelves that you can flip up on the fly for tall items (no having to move shelf pegs). I bought $200 worth of groceries and it still didn't look full! Finally, I didn't realize how noisy my old fridge was until I got this one, you can't even tell it's in the room - even with the ice maker. I have had this for a month now, and I am just super pleased. And I really appreciate the sales associate that helped teach me the differences between the different cooling systems, she was super knowledgable and helped my decision to go with this fridge over the similar LG model.

Looked around for quite some time and decided on this one. The only downside that I have seen since having it 1 month, is the amount of ice that it holds. I wish the ice container was larger. I have run out of ice a few times with just 4 in my family. Now maybe we use more ice than most (and it has been 100 degrees lately), but I think they could have made the ice make a little larger. Other than that, this thing is perfect. Love the LED lights and can't beat the middle drawer. You will not be disappointed if you get this fridge. As far as the amount of noise that the ice maker makes, it is only when the bin is really low and the ice hits the tray. No big deal and it really is not that loud. Do yourself a favor and get this fridge.

We bought this refrigerator to demote our main unit when our backup unit started having issues. Size wise, it was only a couple inches larger than our exisitng unit. However, because of the layout of the french door style and the deep and wide freezer, we wer able to combine the contents of two side-by-side freezers into this one freezer and had plenty of space in the refrigerator compartment to move things around. Our now demoted unit is happily serving as a beverage fridge and overflow freezer. This unit is a little noiser than the others though. When the Ice drops it sounds like someone it throwing the cubes in the bin. When the compressor kicks on, it seems to rev-up before it settles at the idling speed. Overall though, this has been a great replacement so far and the price on sale ($1899-Cyber Monday) plus the additional 5% off and 18 months interest free for using the BestBuy card, it was a no brainer. I did read a huge portion of the reviews before making the purchase though and was skeptical about it's reliability from some of them. However, you have to take into consideration that most people only write reviews when they have something bad to say. Most satisfied customers just go on happily with their day. A friend of mine also purchased a Samsung and has had it for over a year now and has had no issues. He also does not have two kids constantly testing it so we will see and I will update should any issues occur. I did take some of the savings from the sale price and buy the 4 warranty just in case though. Not something I usually purchase but at the time, it still worked out to be less than what it is selling for today at $2339.

Okay, I'm they guy that spends 2 Years in Research before Any Major Purchase. I selected the Samsung #RF4287HARS for many reasons. Now after 60 days I have an opinion worthy of passing along. The Ice Maker is the loudest they could possibly make it when it dumps the 4 cubes at a time. It sounds like it drops 3 feet into an empty plastic bucket every time. The ice is always half crushed and half cubed. When you fill a glass of water with ice in it, it will ricochet all over your stainless steel. Good Luck keeping the stainless looking clean. It is a full time job. But that is what you get with stainless unless you go with the patented finish Fridgid aire offers on their stainless. But I would not own a Fridgidare for anything. They are typically total junk per the many reviews like this one. Samsung gives you much better quality based on repair records. Just be ready to keep on hand a bag or 2 of ice if you have more than 4 people in the house since the ice maker barely keeps up with just my wife & I who filll a glass every 4 hours or so. Buy a different model that does not have this same unit if Ice is important to you. We preferred the LG w/ the double ice maker (has an extra in the door) BUT could not justify the additional $800. We got ours for $2,100 MINUS $500 discount due to a small dent in the door discovered upon delivery. Be advised that if you choose to polish the stainless w/ one of those oily wipes to do so in a small area at the bottom to see if you like it after a few days. It will turn into a streaking look causing you to wipe the whole fridge down every other day. And finally, know that it is a very big task to remove all of the plastic film that comes from the factory protecting the stainless. I cannot express how challenging it is to remove all of this film. Good luck yall. They just dont makem like they used to.

I have had this for 3 months now, and am sad to say I am disappointed and wish I could return it for a different one. My biggest gripe (other than the water dispenser won't stop dripping, even after Samsung replace the coupler) is the drawer. The 4 way divider is pretty useless since it doesn't lock into place(and it should have plexiglass plates) and as soon as you open it, everything slides to the back, along with the divider. So much for dividing stuff. It fits cans or juice boxes great, but anything else has to be lied on it side. And about that, I guess the room it takes up does limit the amount of tall items in the fridge. I'm used to putting water bottles, wine bottles, ketchup, etc, etc, etc, upright. Not now.... you can fold the left shelf up, or remove a shelf, but then lose a lot of space. So we try to cram as much as we can in the doors, but still have to lie a bunch on their sides, which could lead to potential spills. The unit DOES make some odd noises as I have read in other reviews, and is not even as quiet as my old 10 yr old side by side. The ice maker does make a lot louder noise than the old one too! When the ice drops, it is loud! The first time it woke me up in the middle of the night, and I jumped out of bed to see what the heck the noise was, wondering around the house, finally realizing it was the silly fridge! And it takes forever to make new ice also.

Less then a week old but already in love with it...Can actually see everything in the refrigerator so nothing in back will go bad because you forgot it was there and only realize it after it stinks up the refrigerator..Best buy delivery did a great job taking the doors and drawers off to get through the front door. Need 31" plus...Love the design of all the shelving plus the lighting inside is wonderful led that comes on like a dimmer soft to bright...

We have had this refrigerator for a couple of months and are thrilled with the purchase. The middle drawer is very convenient, the LEDs illuminate every corner, it is quiet and looks great next to our Viking double ovens. Our old side by side was an eyesore for a couple of years (came with house) and the narrow freezer was useless. With the Samsung refrigerator we have plenty of room, and the ample shelves on both doors make organization a snap. We have noticed that our food stays fresher longer with the dual cooling zones and being able to see everything at eye level has cut down on those forgotten groceries that we'd constantly find buried in the back of our old side by side. The only improvements I would make would be enabling one to use the icemaker while the right door is open. And, although the middle and freezer drawers seem to be self closing, the french doors appear lighter and you must make a conscious effort to close. We highly recommend this refrigerator as it has exceeded expectations in our house.

This is a very roomy refrigerator, easy to clean, amazing interior lighting, the drawer provides a place for leftovers and soft drinks, gets them out of the way of the other cold stuff, which makes it easier to manage and find items in both compartments. Love it!

This was a replacement to a noisy fridge that constantly whined. After about one month, this fridge only whines at the start of a fan cycle, so it is a great improvement. The trade-off, unfortunately, is that it makes a shrieking sound when pulling water for the ice-maker, and when the cubes are finished, there is a loud bang as the cubes drop into the bin. So, I deducted half a star for the noise. I also deducted half a star for the interior layout of the refrigerator part. While the middle shelf is wide open, and the freezer is too, the refrigerator part has poor space on the door and interior shelf layout. The factory layout leaves no space tall enough for two liters, wine bottles, or milk gallons unless you want to cram those things on the doors. The problem with bottles on the door, however, is that they clang when you open the door, and might tip out. Finally, the fridge has a weird feature where the ice and water dispenser on the left hand door will not work if the right hand door is open. Not a big deal, but I would prefer to fill a cup with ice while I grab the soda that will accompany it.

This had been a refrigerator that I had been admiring for some time. The only issue I had was the price. Initially this was a $3200 to $3600 item in stores. My wife and both wanted to get it, but thought the price was too high. We got this on sale and feel we got this for a steal. The drawer is great for kids snacks and drinks. (These items can tend to move around and fall down at times which is why I gave a 4.0 rating on features.) It is easy to open and close for my 5 year old daughter. We replaced an old unit and this is like a cavern of space compared to our old unit. My wife and I have been extremely impressed with this unit. Samsung has done a great job and Best Buy made it an easy, enjoyably experience.

Nice looking, quiet running, water tastes great from filter. Makes sufficient ice for us. Enough freezer space and able to keep track of everything by the way the space is divided into two bins and sliding drawer. I was concerned about this as I had a side by side refrigerator/freezer before. Like the way it lights up when opens the doors and can find everything well. I keep sandwich making supplied and lunch meats, cheeses in the refrigerator drawer so you dont need to open the refrigerator to make a sandwich. Good for cans of pop too. Wish they would come up with a finish that wouldnt show fingerprints so much. I also like that it is an energy saver appliance.

This is a wonderful refrigerator. My five year old loves the middle pull out drawer. We store the yogurt, blue berries, grapes, etc in there for her and she can reach all her snacks now. She's in the "I can do it myself" stage. The refrigerator maintains temperature dead on. I have a small thermometer with safe food markings and it always reads in the exact center of the safe zone. It runs slightly quieter than our old Amana. If I had to knock anything about it, it would be when the ice drops from the ice maker. If I'm sitting at the kitchen table intently reading a book it will make me jump a little. But, this is our first refrigerator with an ice maker. I kind of assume they are all similar. I really like the filtered water dispenser. I think my little girl drank 100 gallons of water the first day we had it just because she likes to use it.

WE CAN SEE EVERYTHING! Food is NOT wasted. We are a household of four adults, one teenager, and one toddler (my grandson). This model is perfect for us all. The true test of a good purchase is when you are thankful every day, with every use, that you have this item. My husband is a smart shopper and bought it on sale. Best Buy was wonderful. Again, I can't say enough about how important it is for food not to get lost in the fridge because out of sight, out of mind, and then you're throwing food (money) away. This design keeps that from happening. (You can customize shelf placement in the entire appliance.) With the amount of money we save on food, it makes a great purchase even better. No complaints. Settings are awesome and things stay fresh! Freezer space (and design) is spacious, with multiple ways you can customize your freezer. Sorry, guys, but a woman must have designed this model.

I bought this fridge at Best Buy in November via the online site. It couldn't have been easier! The Best Buy delivery people were great and had it installed and running very quickly. I love the amount of storage I have now and it's easy to get everything organized very well. The door in the middle for sodas and deli meat/cheese, etc. is wonderful! The shelves allow for various container heights and widths. I did end up taking one of the shelves out from the door on the right side so that I had enough room for some taller dressing containers. A gallon of milk fits nicely into the side compartment, and I believe two would probably fit. I currently have a two liter bottle of soda, a gallon of milk and a large liquid creamer container in the bottom segment of the door. The top shelf inside can slide up to allow for taller items if needed. The crisper drawers are large and hold a lot. They do a good job of keeping veggies and salads fresh. The freezer on the bottom is great and allows me to see just what I have available for meals. It is divided in two sections and then there is a drawer on top of the main section that slides back and allows access to the entire area. Being able to get water and ice from the door is great and for those with young children, the ability to lock the water and ice by simply holding the button for 3 seconds would be very helpful. I also use this feature when cleaning the fridge. The stainless steel definitely does show fingerprints, but it cleans up very nicely with stainless steel cleaner which is easily found in the cleaning aisle of the supermarket/store. The icemaker does make a significant amount of noise when it's emptying and filling. The first time we heard it, it was a little surprising, something similar to pins falling in a bowling alley. Now when we hear it, we just say, "Steeee-rike!" ;) All in all, I am delighted with this fridge and would definitely recommend it highly!

I am glad we purchased this refrigerator. I especially love the space in the freezer and the way you can easily flip the fridge shelves up to create space for tall items. Wish we would have known that the ice maker has the capability to make 7 lbs of ice a day BUT it does not have the storage space in the ice bucket. You will need to dump the ice into another container if you want the full capacity. We would have gone with the model that has larger ice container.

Great product with great design , great price compered to other similar products. It runs very quiet and energy efficient.

I love this refrigerator, It's attractive in my kitchen, spacious enough for everything we use, and more, convenient for drinks in the middle drawer and easy to reach everything in the freezer. It keeps food and drinks cold at just the right temp. The only drawback I can see is the size of the ice maker. We have had guests twice in the month we have had the refrigerator and have run out of ice both times.

Had it for about 3 weeks and it works great. Love the middle drawer for keeping soda and other drinks cold. So far the ice maker works fine. Lots of room with great lighting. Just one minor thing, in the power saving mode some things had condensation form, turned the power saving mode off and problem solved.

This item uses space so well. I guess my favorite is the middle drawer, it is efficient and roomy. Always had side-by side refrigerators and would never have them again. Love the lighting inside also. The water/ice dispenser light turns on/off by itself. Got if before Christmas and had room for all the special items one would make. Alos like the split shelf, great idea.

Fridge has tons of room. Love the middle drawer. Ice maker is a joke though. Claims 7 bags of ice a day but can't even supply enough ice for 4 people at one meal and is slow production. We are talking half-glass size of 16 oz glasses here....not happy about that. People complain about how loud ice drop is but I think it is on par with our prior whirlpool. Be aware the stainless steel is a pain to keep clean with kids.
