Learned My Lesson on Buying Reburbished Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More like a USED item. Finish missing on dial. Screen has visible spot. Dried skin cells on band. Disgusting. NOTHING in package but the watch and a charger. Not even a pamphlet. This is supposed to be like new. I understand missing packaging but this is shameful. Arrived dead. How can it be refurbed if dead. Not even going to bother setting it up. This is used merchandise with visible wear, like flea market quality. Does not match your definition of refurbished. Save yourself the disappointment and buy it new. Sad and disappointing and going back.

Product arrived damaged
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Smartwatch by online, but it arrived damaged with big and deep scratch in the smartwatch area (I send the picture). Also around the scratch area is damaged too in the surface. It was a Refurbished product that I both online, but I was not advised before the purchase that the product had a big damage and it was not in the site described. I will be returning it today in the Best Buy store most close to my house. I was my first refurbished purchase in only Best Buy (unfortunately no good experience).

Come on, Geek Squad, you had one job...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review isn't really about the product, but about the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished stamp. I ordered the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Smartwatch. But when it arrived, it would not connect because it had a "ReActivation Lock" on it. This was very obvious when starting up the product. All the Geek Squad person had to do was power on the unit and they would have seen that this product was not serviceable. According to several tech forums, this was a common problem when the watch was first released, but legitimate Retailers (like Best Buy) should now have a process for fixing it before they send it out. I called the Customer noService number, and the first rep I spoke to could not grasp the problem, but she transferred me to someone else who determined that the only resolution was to send out another product. She said it would be shipped One-Day, which meant it should have arrived yesterday, but the tracking number now says it should arrive tomorrow. Additionally, while the unit had no scratches or dings, it was very dirty, probably from being worn for at least several days (or longer). I had to clean it up before I was able to actually put it on.

2 Year Replacement Plan (Read the fine print!!!!)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a Gear 3 Classic smartwatch (Geek Squad Certified Refurbished) for $227 online. I add the 2 year replacement plan for $59.99 to protect my investment...Awesome deal!!! Received watch on 5-17-18. 4 days later bezel ceased to rotate smoothly, often requiring muscle to move it. With 2 Year Replacement Plan in effect, I took it to the Morrow, GA location for replacement. Here is the synopsis of my far less than stellar customer service experience. 1.Geek Squad rep examined watch and told me it was supposed to be that way since it was new. (huh?????) 2.Tried to use the 2 Year Replacement Plan 3.Best Buy informed me I would have to pay the $122 difference between the new watch and my malfunctioning Geek Squad Certified Refurbished watch, despite the 2 Year Protection Plan purchase 4.Best Buy did not offer to repair the watch 5.Best Buy did not offer to source a similarly priced replacement 6.At my request, the General Manager printed the 2 Year Replacement Plan and highlighted the, 'at Best Buy's discretion' clauses. 7.I asked for District Manager's name and number. The General Manager wrote down,1-800-Best-Buy and told me, verbatim, "That's all your gonna get" (smh) 8.Nothing was done to acknowledge and rectify the broken watch I had just purchased with a 2 Year Replacement Plan Whatever happened to truth in advertising? When did customer service stop being about exceeding our expectations? Best Buy failed to even meet my expectations in this regard. In conclusion, I left Best Buy with the same broken Geek Squad Certified Refurbished smartwatch I came in with...despite purchasing a 2 Year Replacement Plan. Watch purchased on 5-13-18. Date of this review 5-23-18.

Good watch, don't buy refurbished.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered this watch on the 24th, received it a week later. I absolutely loved the watch and it looked brand new. Read all the raving reviews about refurbished on here so i decided to save money and buy one. Needless to say 2 weeks later the screen is completely black. I feel the haptic feedback and was able to blindly dial my wife swiping through screens. Brought it into geeksquad and was hoping to swap it out for another one but the same watch is 60 dollars more than when i purchased it. So i have 2 options use my protection plan after only 2 weeks and lose the 60 bucks since id have to buy another protection plan, or return it and and buy another refurbished one which is 60 bucks more. Either way after all this ive spent the same amount of money as if i were to just buy it brand new. Bottom line, dont buy it refurbished, save yourself the hassle and just get it new. I remember the old plans they would actually repair your product or trade it for the same item and you'd still keep your protection until the 2 years ran out. But nowadays once you use it you have to buy a new plan which will add up since mine broke before even having it for a month.

Great product, poor refurb
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch appears to function properly but I will be returning it to buy a new one because it was disgusting. Geek Squad refurbs are supposed to be cleaned but this one arrived and just appears used like if I bought it off someone on the street. It has dirt in every nook and cranny and what looks like cheese stuck in the knurling of the dial. I can't see what they would have considered to have been refurbished about this product. I am very dissatisfied and will not be buying any other Geek Squad certified refurbished products.

Frontier Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am sorry to say this is the second one that doesn't work. I can't get it to stay on. It is fully charged and it will start up in the cradle and work. But as soon as I take it out of the charging cradle it powers off and will not come back on. I will take back one more time to be replaced. If the next one does the same? I will return it and get my money back. Beware of the GEEK SQUAD REFURBISHED PRODUCTS. when I go to the store? The Geek Squad won't even waste their time looking at it. They say take it to the customer service counter. Customer service doesn't fix things. They return them.

Really bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my husband for Christmas. I made sure it turned on and was charged so that on Christmas morning he could unwrap and use his new watch. Fast forward to Christmas morning and when he opened it we could not get it to stay on. After researching online we saw where it may need to be restarted. Tried the restart would not work. Finally saw where if you turn it on while on the charger it should work. We tried this and it did but only stayed on for a total of about 30 mins. Called Bestbuy and they set us up an appt with geek squad for the next day. The next day we get to geek squad and find out they cannot work on the watch because it has been refurbished or only option is to return this and buy another one. We then find out that all the new options were sold out and or only option was to get a refurbished watch or buy the newer version. Well after the experience of the refurbished one we decided to buy new which unfortunately costs us an extra $200 we weren’t really planning on spending but this was my husbands only Christmas gift so we did it anyway. Just really sucks bestbuy can’t work on their own refurbished items.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heart rate sensor and pedometer doesn't work. Battery lasted 5 hours. And the watch is boring. What do you do with it? For 2 years, i have been wanting one and I finally got one ,excited, but after 10 minutes - meh. This geek squad refurbished device is also broken in so many ways. Garbage

Horrible
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box the only thing geeksquad did was clean it. Had to charge it to get it to turn on which wasn't a problem until it was turned on, had it on the charger for about 5 minutes and it said it was at 80% battery. I let it charge awhile longer took it off and turned it on and come to find out it wasn't even restored to factory settings, it was trying to connect the the old owners phone and was able to go thru all the text messages that were on there. Won't hold a charge dies 30 seconds after being turned on and one of the physical buttons doesn't work. They should really pay attention to the quality of work the employees are doing to the products.

Missing parts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've received the watch with a missing button, which makes impossible to use it.. I had to spend my time going to bestbuy store to return the watch and get the reimbursement. I will never again buy a refurbish product.

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Review: Samsung's best smartwatch, just got betterWhen I reviewed the Gear S2 last year, I thought it was one of the better smartwatches on the market.
