Customers are saying

Customers admire the AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop's effective mopping and mapping features, along with its ease of use and quiet operation. Many appreciate its strong vacuuming performance, especially for pet hair, but some users point to limitations in battery life and app functionality. Navigation and obstacle avoidance could also be improved, according to some customer feedback. The small dustbin size is another area where some users suggest improvements.

This mop vacuum does great in our dance studio. Granted the floors are mostly open and free of furniture so it really is the ideal setup for a vacuum and mopping robot. The dust bin and water tank swapping is fairly easy, but i have found a few times the robot does not recognize the mopping tank is installed until you put the dust bin in and then swap back out with the water tank. Having a way to turn off the cliff sensors would be great as there are no stairs or high places in our studio, but i dont know of any robots that can do that yet. The mop heads are also fairly easy to replace, but they do get dirty pretty quick. I would like a slightly bigger water tank as it seems like the tank runs out just before finishing either studio floor. The best thing this robot does is that it rarely ever gets stuck. It will find its way out of almost any issue. I have had it for a few months now and have only needed to save it once.

This was my first time using a cleaning bot, and I really optimistic at first glance. Seemed to be a decent budget alternative to comparable midgrade bots from others companies. I set it up, let it fully charge, lightly sweeped, removed large obstacles and wires laying around, and let it map the floor. I was pretty impressed with the initial mapping process and results; it detected the stairs, got over small ledges, got in and out of places pretty well. The dirt bin was full of dust and hair and whatnot, seemed pretty good. So I let it fully recharge again, set the rooms and no-go zones in the app, and had it vacuum at the strongest setting. It was doing alright until it reached the stairs, then it froze and the app notified me that it was about to fall and needed to be saved again. I picked it up, cleaned the four cliff sensors, and tried it again. Stalled at the stairs again. Tried it a few more times, until eventually I just barricaded the stairs to prevent it entirely. After that, it was just issue after issue. Weirdest was when I sent it out to mop and it left the dock, moved about a foot away, spun a couple times, and went right back to the dock. No notifications, no errors, nothing. Tried it three times in a row, same thing. In the end, I decided to return it. It does work sometimes, it can vacuum and mop, but it really can't be called automated. You have to constantly watch it, be ready to save it or make it resume work. In over a dozen attempts at cleaning, I don't think it fully finished a job once without issue. I read the FAQ's, cleaned the sensor several times, deleted and remapped my floor, etc.. I have mostly laminate flooring with a couple rugs, not a variety of difficult terrain. I shouldn't need to set no-go zones to tell a robot with LiDAR how to not fall off stairs. After all that hassle, I decided to buy another cleaning robot to see if it'd be any better; an extremely expensive one. I won't say which one to avoid sounding like I'm shilling for them, but it's night and day. The app is so much more robust, every feature is functional and impressive. With the Shark, my impression of cleaning robots was 'I guess the tech just isn't there yet'. With the other one, it's 'the future is now'. It's so good, I'm more and more convinced it justifies the price. So I'm not going easy on the Shark in review. I gave it 2/5 because it does do the job, just not without issues. Issues that I'm hoping Shark can fix with future updates. Rating it on performance alone, I'd give it a 3/5. The vacuum isn't strong enough to pick up everything, and the mop does work pretty well (but there do seem to be more app errors when mopping). The app and software gets a 1/5 though. After downloading the app for the other one, I realized how barebones and janky the Shark app is. But these are things that can be fixed and improved. Would I recommend buying it? No. Maybe I got a defective unit (I doubt it) and it actually performs much better than my experience, but the app alone would still make it a no. Right now, my verdict on cleaning robots is go big or go home. And clean your home once you get there, cause your robot probably didn't.

Vacuums about as well as the Wyze i had previously, but the mop mapping is poor. It is very tricky to get it to avoid carpet with the zones. As long as you dont have carpet, its fine.

The Shark Robot Vacuum is a great little tool to have with a messy toddler and a busy house. Paired with the app, we can control the Shark to vacuum or mop whenever needed, even if we’re not home. It makes living and getting things dirty a little easier to clean up without worry.

So far... I love this thing. I had the Shark ION Robot Vacuum R75 with Wi-Fi. I loved that one, too. It was loud in general but it also ran into things which made it even more loud and then it just ran criss cross and who knows where it went or what it did or didn't cover. This one though... Man! It says laser to detect objects. It runs ever so smoothly. It is not as loud, but it still can be annoying if running in the same room you are in. It can pick up sooooo much more than my previous one. It actually travels along walls and edges of objects. It appears to really go up and down the rooms getting great coverage. I noticed that it does not like to be under my table and chairs. I may place it under there to clean there, and I place the chairs in a way that it would hopefully clean under, but I guess since it was not mapped that way, it always finds its way out. The dust bucket seems to come off waaaay too often. The previous one would clean under my sofas. This one does not. And I hate that. I have not tried the mop. If it is anywhere as good as the vacuum, I will like this. So, I give it a 4 because the dust bin comes off too often and because it does not go under our couches. Try it!

Gets everything I need done. My allergies have definitely gone down ever since I've gotten the robot. I use it about twice a week to vacuum my whole apartment. The mop function is pretty good too but it seems like the robot doesn't know how to move well on carpet with the mop attachment, make sure you place the robot on the floors that need mopping instead of letting it move by itself to the area.

The Shark vacuum cleaner has been a generally satisfactory purchase, although there have been a few minor issues. One issue is that the vacuum cleaner sometimes gets stuck on closet rails or other obstacles.

It does a nice job keeping up with my pet hair problem everyday. I have 3 shepherds and without out this my house would be a wreck. The mopping feature is nice but I am not sure if it gets my floors as clean if I mopped them but it does in a pinch!

Works great. Saves a ton of time not having to vacuum or mop. Only complaint is the reservoir for the fluid is small and has to be refilled to complete the mop job and my area it is mopping is only about 800 square feet.

This device has helped me a lot because I have stopped sweeping or moping my house. shark takes care of it very well and way beyond I do it because it ensures it runs below my couch, bed, etc where it is challenging to reach and clean everyday..it’s been convenient from the day I have bought it and it helps me keep my house clean all the time. A great product for anyone.
