Good hardware, weak software.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review._____ *Pros: -The LiDAR navigation works well and mapped the rooms accurately. -The anti-hair-wrap brushroll is great for both pet (dog and cat) and human hair. -Simple and easy to empty the bin and clean the brushes. -Can control using voice via Google Control. -Works on both carpet and hard floor. -Comes with an extra side brush. _____ *Neutral: -No mop attachment option. _____ *Cons: -The app is clunky, laggy, and unrefined. After being fairly impressed with the power and performance of a Shark cordless stick vacuum from late last year, I was eager to give the Shark Navigator robot vacuum a shot, my first robot vacuum from Shark but my third robot vacuum overall. My first impression of the hardware was positive although nothing about it was remarkable. It’s presented in a standard round shape with one single-side brush on the bottom. There is no option for a mop attachment, and the dustbin capacity is about ½ quart, or 0.135 gallons. It weighs about seven pounds so it’s light and easy to carry around. Setting up the robot via the Shark Clean app was simple enough – turn on the vacuum, enter your home Wi-Fi password, and wait a bit for the connection to be made. The first thing the app suggested was to map a room, so I had the robot do just that for our master bedroom (hardwood floor) which sees a lot of traffic from our two cats and light traffic from our two dogs. I helped the robot out by decluttering the floor as much as possible but left some things alone, such as an office chair, a dip station bar, a trash can, a laundry basket, and a foldable stick vacuum cleaner. The Shark robot mapped the room much more quickly than I expected within just a handful of minutes. During the mapping process, I thought some parts of the room, especially corners and underneath the bed, were being missed, but as I found out during an actual cleaning run later, that wasn’t the case. With the mapping done, I set the cleaning Power Level to Normal (you can choose from Eco, Normal, and Max) and tapped Start Cleaning. The app estimated the cleaning to finish in around 15 minutes but the robot finished in about 12 minutes, probably because there were some obstacles that prevented access to some areas. I was impressed by the vacuum’s finesse going around the legs of my office chair, the posts of my bedframe, and getting close to the edges of walls to sweet up all the hair, dirt, and cat litter that was scattered around. The vacuum performed its job efficiently and thoroughly, going row-to-row consistently for the most part, but sometimes seemingly skipping a section of the room only to come back later as if it had experienced a “a-ha” moment to finish the job. Compared to other robot vacuums I’ve owned in the past and own right now, the Shark Navigator RV2110 fares well against them but doesn’t blow them away. Although the Navigator’s suction power and sweeping efficiency is good, it sometimes cleans in a haphazard fashion and misses a section of the floor. The battery life is good and okay, but the robot sometimes has a difficult time “parking” itself onto the dock. I’ve seen it try as many as three to four times to set up the correct alignment before it finally committed itself to docking, which was humorous. I’m hoping for future firmware updates to further refine the robot’s behavior and efficiency. My biggest issue with living with the Navigator was the Shark Clean app. Compared to rivals’ software solutions, the Shark Clean app is highly unrefined, laggy, and fails to display the correct status of the robot. For instance, when the robot has finished its cleaning process and is connected to the dock being recharged, the app will report that the cleaning process is still in process but in the paused state. And it won’t acknowledge that the robot is in docked mode and being charged. Looking at the app’s aggerated review score online, it’s apparent that Shark still needs to invest more time improving the app’s responsiveness, ease of usability, and accuracy. This is a shame because the hardware is good. All in all, I rate the Shark Navigator RV2110 3.5 out of 5 stars. Although the side-brush does a great job picking up debris efficiently and the suction power is great without generating too much noise, the software side leaves a lot to be desired. If Shark has the will and decides to provide firmware and software improvements, the RV2110 has the potential to be rated much higher. With that said, I would not recommend the Navigator to friends and family because there are simply more refined and better products out there at similar price ranges.

Great cleaning ability in an entry-level robot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a few different brands of robot vacuums over the years, and I was excited to try this one because I’ve known Shark to have excellent cleaning ability and generally good quality vacuums. This robot has an entry-level price, but its cleaning ability is nothing to complain about. This could be an excellent budget choice for basement, playroom, apartment, or other single-level space. My first impression of this robot, setting it up with the app, is that it’s fun! The app had me name the robot, and in case I couldn’t come up with a good name, it offered some snarky shark-themed suggestions. Completing the setup procedure “unlocked” the dashboard, giving a hint that cleaning with this robot can be like a game. Nonetheless, the setup was a bit clunky and time-consuming with having to create an account, agree to a bunch of terms that seemed unrelated to using a vacuum, and waiting for the battery to charge. It also required an “explore mission” before it could start cleaning, which spent 20+ minutes making a map of my space. My second impression is that it’s loud. I thought something was wrong with it, but this just seems to be how it works. The actual vacuum motor is relatively quiet, even on the highest speed setting, but the brushroll motor makes a lot of clacking/rattling all the time that it’s running. It reminds me of the sound of a sewing machine. After using this vacuum, I found its cleaning ability to be as good as any robot vacuums I’ve seen, and even better than many manual vacuums. I think that anyone who needs a vacuum consider a robot vacuum that is no more expensive than a good upright/handheld vacuum. However, there’s a lot of little things with this robot that leave me thinking that there are better choices out there, even around the same price range (and especially if you look for sales). Pros: + Good cleaning ability. + Great price compared to other robots, especially if it’s on sale. + Efficient runtime after it maps the space. + Battery life is good enough for most smaller spaces, and if the battery runs out it will recharge and resume cleaning on a new charge. + The app can be used to start cleaning, clean a (predefined) room, and set cleaning schedules. + Dustbin opens up wide so it’s very easy to clean. It has a large air filter to maintain good airflow. + Sensors and navigation seem to work well. Even though it spends a lot of time bumping into things as a way of identifying where objects are, I never saw it get caught on a power cord, fall down stairs, or get jammed in a corner. I did, though, see it get lost behind my office chair for about 10 minutes before finding its way out. Cons: - Setup and app are a little clunky. Sometimes the app reports the robot is cleaning when it’s not, or the other way around. Resetting sometimes helps, sometimes not. - Need to explore your space to create a map before it will clean. If the exploration isn’t complete, it might skip areas when it cleans. - Sometimes it randomly skips areas even with a good map… I can’t explain why. - Even when it maps successfully, the map is never to scale. At least on my iPhone, the map always appears distorted. It doesn’t seem to interfere with operation, though. - No ability to store/switch multiple maps, so only useful as long as it’s on a single level/single space. - Similarly, it apparently won’t run at all without starting on the dock. I tried moving it to a different space and asking it to explore again, but it wouldn’t take any instruction until I brought the dock to the new space as well. - Re-exploring requires deleting the old map, which takes an oddly long time: about 2 minutes in my experience. I had to wait for it to delete the old map before I could request it to start exploring again. - It doesn’t appear to be able to learn/adjust the map after the initial explore. My experience: make sure anything that can move is moved out of the space before the explore. It can go around stuff added into the space, but if things are moved or moved out of the space (e.g. a trash can or an office chair) it might not clean the area where it was. - The map/app does not show you the location of the robot in real time. Only after a cleaning task is complete is there a map that shows where it cleaned. - The dustbin is located on the same side of the robot as the charging pads, so I have to pull it off the charger in order to empty the bin. And it complains if I don’t turn it off first. So emptying the bin is a more complicated procedure than it probably should be, since ideally I’d like to empty the bin after every time it runs. - In the box, everything was wrapped in plastic. Just more stuff I had to throw in the landfill, as far as I could tell. There were also lots of stickers on the product indicating what things are for and how they work, which is kind of cool and maybe is a plus since they could serve in place of a printed or digital setup guide. But the box included a printed setup guide too. Online there’s a digital guide as well as many videos to watch if you prefer to learn the location of various controls that way. So plus for lots of accessible documentation, but minus for extra things in the box I had to throw away.

Noticeably Quiet with Great Suction!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, my previous experience with Shark Robot Vacuums wasn’t very satisfying. Even after trying other Sharks’ upgraded models, they lack suction power, runtime, and smart detection and often get stuck. This new model, however, feels like a major leap forward compared to my experience with its predecessors. First, the design is clean and modern and its color and style blend seamlessly with my home furniture, giving it a neat look. The charging base is compact and sits still on carpet, with no issues. Setting up the vacuum through the SharkClean app was straightforward and guided me step by step; the whole process took only about 5–8 minutes. I let the vacuum charge fully for a day before the first use. The app itself is simple and intuitive, with no unnecessary complexity; everything is self-explanatory. The initial task was to map my three bedrooms and hallway. Using its LiDAR navigation, the vacuum created the map, occasionally bumping into walls, doors, and furniture which is normal during the mapping process. After around 40 minutes, the floor mapping was complete, and I could divide the map into rooms and label them. The “No-Go Zones” feature was particularly useful and worked perfectly for my setup as I have my gym equipment and don’t want the robot to hit them. Suction has improved noticeably, and during regular cleaning, the vacuum rarely bumped into objects, and I can say it’s far less than I expected. On larger areas, it returned to the base to recharge and resumed cleaning a few minutes later. One of the most impressive features that stands out to me is its quiet operation. I can barely hear it from other rooms. It even easily climbs the threshold into my walk-in closet with no issue. It also works with voice assistants like Google and Alexa, though it lacks broader smart home integration, such as Matter, which would allow it to work with other devices like Apple Home. I hope Shark adds this feature in the future. Overall, this is an excellent smart robot vacuum, especially for the price.

Great at cleaning and easy to use with the app
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Navigator robot vacuum is a fantastic appliance to a busy household like ours. Our family is constantly on the go and busy with life which allows for limited time to do cleanings. This robot vacuum is a very efficient and smart machine that cleans well. Offering a strong suction capability that vacuums up on my home's carpet and hard surface floors. The self cleaning brushroll is very useful as it makes maintenance of the robot vacuum a lot easier on me as the user. I can easily remove the hair that gets wrapped without much hassle whatsoever. I have liked the simplicity and usability of the Shark Clean app that gives me easy usage of the vacuum for automatic operation and manual operation. This Shark Navigator does a great job at first initially mapping out the home space area and learning the area it needs to clean. The smart path navigation is quite nice and advanced as it does a great job striping and laying down clean lines on my carpeted floor. I can visually see the results of the vacuum cleaning with row after row of cleaning and not a bunch of random bounce around lines. The robot vacuum is also great at navigating around furniture and everyday items that are directly in the pathway. We try our best as a household to pick up obstacles in our home, but sometimes an article of clothing or shoe gets left behind and the vacuum manages to work its way around the obstacle. The second floor of my home is carpeted and the smart sensors on the cliff sensors do a great job at realizing the stairs and ledges and pulls back automatically so it doesn't fall down the stairs. This Shark Navigator can make your smart home a smarter home with the voice controlled capability when added to both Alexa or Google smart home assistants. The quiet operation is very nice as it doesn't disturb too much of my daily home usage with being on calls or personal conversations. I like the look and design of the vacuum as it has a nice black/gray color and it looks modern and sophisticated. Included in the box is the Shark Navigator robot vacuum itself, the small profile charging base, and the 2 side brushes. Great appliance to have for your home needs and keeping the home clean when you're away from home and when you're at home.

Smart features, easy to use, great performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Navigator Robot Vacuum came in sturdy packaging and user friendly instructions. Right when you open the box, the instruction card is tucked neatly in the top, outlining four simple setup steps. The unit itself is labeled with clear guidance, making the process intuitive even for first-time users. One standout feature is its low-profile design— its base sit much lower than other models I’ve used, so it blends in more with my decor. The app was quick to download and connect to Wi-Fi, and the instructions for mapping the house were straightforward. It created an accurate map on the first try, which gave me confidence in its navigation system. During its first cleaning run, my floors were in rough shape, and while it didn’t catch every last crumb, it picked up some surprisingly large debris like coffee beans, dog food, and leaves. The bin filled quickly, but after a second pass on a cleaner floor, the results were much more thorough. It’s clear that this vacuum performs best with regular use, and that’s exactly where it shines, a great way to keep up with my floors on a consistent and easy basis! For anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use robot vacuum that blends smart features with practical design, the Shark Navigator is a solid choice.

Cleans well, some features need work (app)
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Shark Navigator RV2110 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum is my fourth robot vacuum, I had a Shark Ion Robot that served me well. However, since then robot vacuums have evolved substantially, and I have graduated to a mop/vacuum combo from Eufy. However, after recently moving to a two-level home, I needed to get a second robot vacuum, one that did not need a mop function as my use case for the second floor was carpet only. The Shark Navigator RV2110 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum is pretty basic but has some features my earlier Shark Ion did not include advanced navigation and room mapping (via a Lidar sensor) and a built-in row by row pattern when cleaning which saves time as the vacuum does not randomly go back and forth. One of the side benefits is your carpet also looks like a meticulously maintained lawn with a consistent pattern (which agrees with my OCD). Setup was fairly easy after downloading the SharkClean mobile app which walks you through the setup process, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi (2.4ghz only, which inherently has better signal range, so ensure your router in not configured for 5ghz only). After connecting to my home network I set to robot out on its first mapping mission. With the addition of Lidar, the mapping process was surprisingly quick and accurate. After the mapping mission the robot returned to its docking station for charging. Two items I noticed during charging, there is a three bar LED that is green when the unit is charging and it moves from lighting up one, two and three bars. The only thing I found odd is you would think when it reached 100% charge all three LEDs would remain lit and also progressively stay lit as the charge reaches 33%, then 66% then fully charged, no it constantly cycles from lighting the first, second and third LED, which I found odd. As for vacuuming, the robot is relatively quiet even on the highest suction setting. My second floor is about 1200 square feet so it had to return to the docking station to recharge. However, even though in the app it was set to resume and finish vacuuming after recharging it never did. It also seemed to be locked up saying it was going to resume. I’ll have to monitor this, as it seems like that might be a problem (and frankly I did not want it to resume after recharging in this case as it would have been in the middle of the night). There is an option in the app to NOT resume automatically, and it was set to resume (again which it did not). The app also has the ability for you to divide the vacuum job and configure rooms after the initial mapping, which comes in handy in case you only want to clean certain rooms as opposed to the whole floor that was mapped. In the app you can also mark areas for the vacuum to avoid which comes in handy. The robot also seemed a bit inconsistent in handling multiple level surfaces (for instance a throw rug over carpet (it curled it up). Meanwhile it climbed up on the first level of a CD rack I had (yes, I still have physical media) and got stuck. The robot also has a self-cleaning brush roll designed to prevent tangle of hair around the roll, I’ll have to see how that works. As for the app, although it provides basic monitoring of a vacuum job, it did not really show real-time progress like my Eufy robot mop/vacuum does. It also seems at times to not communicate with the device well (for instance I had to figure out how to discontinue an incomplete job, the return to base function did not work). Several quirks with the mobile app, I thought maybe a firmware upgrade could help (and most devices out of the box need one), but although I could see the firmware version that the robot was currently on, I did not see a way to check for a firmware update. Perhaps that function only shows up when one is available. As for some of the issues I encountered with this robot vacuum, most seem to be able to be resolved with a firmware and app update. I’m sure those will be forthcoming. Overall, I am a bit mixed about the Shark Navigator RV2110 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum, it does a very good job cleaning, but the app needs improvement and perhaps a firmware upgrade for the robot. Also, the battery seems to take a long time to recharge, so do not expect a quick turnaround to resume an incomplete job (if it even attempts to). >> Pros >>> Does an excellent job cleaning bare or carpet covered floors. >>> Vacuums in a nice straight line and pattern, your carpet will be left looking like a finely manicured lawn. << Cons <<< App needs some improvement <<< Robot could probably use a firmware update to squash some of the bugs (resume, getting hung up on some items during a vacuum job) <<< Lack of a real-time job status or location of the robot (although there is a find function, which will have the device beep, so you can find it). <<< Job duration function seems to universally state it would only take five minutes, even when I selected multiple rooms. <<< Dirt bin is not self-emptying like higher level models.

A quite Robot that works!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, this is my 9th vacuuming robot. I live in a multi-floor, split level home. I have 5 specific levels (with one or more steps between levels). This one I got for my master Bathroom (Toilet, Bath & Closet). Long ago I got tired of moving robots from one area to another. This is my second Shark, it's replacing an "off brand" that is not performing as needed (and apparently no longer supported). This is my only robot that is/was not self emptying (I prefer self emptying, but this is a small area). Shark for years has continued to improve their robots, both making them more powerful and less expensive. I'd call this navigator a mid-range robot. For example, their higher end robots support 5G, this robot only supports 2.4G WiFi. This one can also be controlled with Amazon's and Google Voice assistants (smart home products). Its base unit is very light, but when returning to charge it backs in very slowly. But it is very easy to bump it and change its position. As I've done with others, I suggest using some 'Alien' tape on both sides to make it more difficult to move (so it stays put). Getting it setup was very easy (a QR code takes you to the app to be installed). You must create an online Shark account (which I already had). Once the account is set up you can use the SharkClean app. First you set up the WiFi connection. Then you must charge it to at least 50% (I charged to 100%). Then you map the area where it will be used (you may have to do a firmware update first). I found mapping to be faster than cleaning. This Shark uses Lidar to create a detailed map of your area before you use it the first time. It then calculates a back and forth pattern to cover your space allowing for furniture and/or other obstacles. Its mapping is very accurate, it rarely touches any objects when cleaning, and is quite gentle around furniture legs and such. It moves pretty quickly in open areas, around the perimeter it moves more slowly. It has two power levels. It does a great job of negotiating rugs/carpet and changing height as necessary (much better than my previous). On hardwood and tile floors, its little whisker helps bring in the dust rather than just blowing it around (I wish it had two). But after making two passes around my defined area, I saw it pass over objects to its right side. It did an excellent job on two fairly thick throw rugs (it changed suction levels to max when doing rugs). I think its exhaust on max on a tile floor may disrupt some of its cleaning duties. On carpet is did a much better job. It did a great job of picking fine threads on my larger rug. The home button caused it to return home, in a fairly direct path as did the return to home command in the app. The plastic dust bin is.... dainty; not very big. But it has a HEPA filter to prevent dust from escaping when in use. My area is about 400sg ft, and every time I use the robot I empty the robot and it's quite full. I wish the robot could be emptied while it is in the docking stand, but the dust bin is on the head end of the unit. If it were on the tail end it could be removed while charging. It's very compact and well designed, it's 1" thinner than my prior robot, which lets it get under certain areas much better. There is no disposable vacuum bag (no extra cost). It is easy to remove the dust bin to empty. I did not notice much dust escaping when I emptied it. Compared to other robots I think Shark has substantially decreased the noise the robot makes. On solid floors it is very quiet, on rugs, it sucks louder, but it's a different sucking sound, somewhat muted by the rug. Dust does stick to the front of the unit, you will want to wipe the front down periodically. The rotating "cleaners" are designed to prevent the collection of hair. This robot is competitive, to get a self emptying version or a simpler unit is the real purchase decision you need to make. You can schedule it to run but if you haven't emptied it it might not run long. Where I'm planning to use it, it will be more than adequate for my area. I'm a happy camper.

Good for carpeted areas and hardwood flooring
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Robot vacuum these days are getting smarter and better. Gone are the days when robots vacuum across the room in a seemingly random pattern. The Shark Navigator Robot Vacuum performs well, and it cleans row by row. Installation and Setup Setup is very intuitive. There’s an app to download and an instruction leaflet that provides guidance on how to place the dock properly. The rest is taken care of by the app. The robot will need to be charged to at least 50% of battery capacity before it can perform the initial sweep. The initial sweep will produce a map of the rooms in the house. The robot employs spot lidar technology, which contributes a lot, among others, to producing an accurate map. I’m using the robot to clean the family room and the map produced after the initial sweep was accurate. Performance The robot is primarily used to vacuum the living room, which contains both hardwood flooring and primarily carpeted areas. The robot vacuums well and I can barely hear it doing its job while watching a movie in the living room. So, noise level is quite low, which is great for my purpose. The robot, however, cannot identify certain large objects being placed on the floor as it would bump into these objects a couple of times when vacuuming the room. I’m not sure why because the spot lidar should have detected and avoided these objects. Shark maintains that the vacuum suction performance is 50% better than its competitors’. I've used several robot vacuums over the past decade, and I have no issues with the suction performance of recent models. So even without the claim, performance should have been enough for most purposes. Also, I don’t have the scientific means to verify the claim that it actually performs 50% better than the other brand. Having said that I’m pleased with the Shark’s robot vacuum performance. I certainly always appreciate more suction performance because the primary use for the robot is to vacuum carpeted areas. This robot vacuum delivers on the performance. I really like the row-by-row performance of the robot vacuum, which makes it perfect for the living room. Of course, the robot can clean multiple rooms in the house on a single session, but I don’t have the need for the robot to do that. The Shark app is very useful to command the robot to start cleaning. After the robot completed its cleaning run, there’s a report that provides a map of the cleaned area. You can schedule cleaning routines, and you can also control multiple Shark robots. Conclusion The robot performs well overall, though it cannot detect some large objects. Its spot lidar technology makes it a strong option. The app is very useful and makes automation possible.

Really Cleans, It's a Keeper!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed about the Shark Navigator robot vacuum is the package seemed to be pretty compact. Basically, not much bigger than the vacuum itself. Great start, I have a small house. The unit is approximately twelve and three quarters of an inch in diameter. I measured two other brands (my friend’s thought I was crazy asking to measure their robot vacuums!) and the Shark Navigator was three quarters to one inch smaller than the other two brands. Pretty easy to setup, simply plug in the base, take the packaging materials off the robot pop on a brush and put it on the base to charge. The robot has to be 50% charged in order to operate. Out of the box my robot had a 30% charge. It took about XX to get to a 50% charge. While the Shark Navigator was charging I installed the app on my phone. Very simple, hover over the QR code with the camera on your phone and it takes you to the exact app to install. Installed quickly and the robot connected to my wifi easily. On the box (see picture) it says pet fur will not get stuck in the roller. My house is the true test with my fur ball. Not only did the Shark Navigator do a great job of basic dirt, it did in fact pick up that dog fur and the roller stayed pretty fur free. Nice! It seamlessly moved from tile floor to carpet and cleaned both equally well. It went underneath the cabinets in the kitchen without running into them and did a superb job of cleaning underneath the cabinets. I watched it as it cleaned and it did clean in rows as pictured on the box. (see picture). The maintenance video on the Shark website (found under FAQ section) is very informative, worth the five minutes to watch. When robot vacuums came out a few years ago I tried a couple different brands and found them to be time consuming to map the area to clean. The Shark just figures it out, no “programming” required from me. I wasn’t too impressed with the robot vacuums I tried a few years ago. I am pleasantly surprised at how easy the Shark Navigator was to setup and use. It does a great job of vacuuming the tile floor and carpet, dog fur and all. I’m pretty impressed, this one is a keeper.

Small Yet Mighty
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Take off all of the plastic. I know. That's a weird way to start a review, but you'd be amazed at how many people don't do this simple yet extremely important thing and call the Geek Squad asking "what's wrong with their brand new purchase. " With that being said, Shark has made me a very happy robot owner over the years and it's an honor to be able to say that they've continued with that very trend. The Navigator is a smaller, yet, more powerful iteration of the Shark AI Ultra with out the mop attachment. This also means that it's much more affordable. Let me tell you. That counts. The Navigator is easy to set up and pair with the Shark app( Because everything has an app.) But this is great for when you want to start up a cleaning cycle, even on days or times when you don't already have it programmed to clean. I often get phone calls from work on holidays and I need to send my robot vac home , to keep the office alarm from going crazy. Yes. Right there , at the tip of your fingers. Total control. Again, as this is a smaller vac, it does require a more hands-on approach to cleaning, but it really takes no time at all. Plus it way easier than lugging a bloom and dustpan around, or even pushing a clunky vaccum cleaner around. It maps out your place and remebers where certain peices of furniture are so it can go around it. And this little guy is powerful. It gets up dirt that you didn't even know was there. If the charging station was a little bigger and had a dust tray, I would be buying more these for family and friends for the holidays, and giving this a 5 star review. But it doesn't andI still see myself gifting a couple. Simple and easy and it comes with an extra brush. I happily recommend this vac to new Robot owners and office workers.

A new member of the family.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised how easy it was. Setup was done in minutes by our 12 year old. We chose a spot for her. Downloaded the app, pulled up the rugs and cables and let her scan the house. With zero effort she finished building a scan of our main level. I was able to setup the app so she scans every other day at 3am. We never even notice her except for that our floors now don't need to be swept every weekend! Cleaning her was easy. Flip her upside down and slide out the dust container and pinch it open into the trash. She's got two buttons .. CLEAN and Dock. I've got the app installed to run her but everyone else can just use the buttons. The app allows for customization. Breaking apart your floor plan into rooms and no-go zones. But you don't need to do anything really to have her start working for you. Everything was simply easy to use, easy to clean, and one more household chore is taken care of. Freeing up more time on the weekend for family activities. You do need to take slight care of prepping the house just a bit... of cables and crunchy rugs as we did find her stuck a couple of times.

Finally, a working vacuum robot!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned 2 other vacuum robots prior to this one, both of which were huge disappointments. First one was cheaper and pretty much never did it jobs, always got stuck, never found its way back to the base, and just died anywhere. The second one was much more expensive, but price does not always guarantee quality. It worked the first couple of times it ran, but continued to get errors and would just die also having trouble making it back to the base most of the time. I went into this Shark Navigator Robot with little hope it would be any different, and what a pleasant surprise its been! Setup was quick and easy, no need to pick your specific model from a list, the app is pretty simple and straightforward. You get a physical quick start guide, and then QR codes to download the App and Instructions. I let the Robot charge to 100% and began the first explore. Again, I had little expectations from this robot and thought it would just get a basic overview of the living room and maybe kitchen, but I forgot our bedroom door was opened. Within a surprisingly short time, the Shark robot scanned all available rooms and presented me with a map on the app which is very accurate! I even excitedly sent a picture of this layout to my wife (who was also frustrated with our last robot). It even still had 90% battery after the explore which I thought was pretty good AND it found its way back to the base no problem. I let the robot charge back to 100% and divided my house into 3 main rooms for cleaning. I had it clean one room, and it took 39 minutes and found its way back to the base. No getting stuck or no errors, and when I cleaned the bin, it was packed full of dirt, debris, and dog hair. I then let it charge back up to 100% and had it clean another area, same result! Keep in mind my wife is a clean freak and sweeps the floor like 5-6 times per week, so our floors should not be TOO bad, yet it was another full bin. For the past several days I have ran the Shark robot twice a day, and it still comes back with lots of collected junk. You have vacuum strength options in the app, so now that its cleaned the areas a couple of times, I started using the strongest option to try and pull my dirt. Battery life was not greatly affected by the strength change either, at least when I do one area at a time which is around 400-500 Sq/ft rooms, and it still came back over half full. The robot has not had one issue finding its way back to the base or getting stuck on anything, and we have tile, carpet, and a rug with lots of cords and random items around. One dislike I do have about it is the location of the bin. Its on the side facing closest to the base, so in order for me to empty the bin I need to pull it off the charger and take it out. You’re also supposed to turn off the robot to empty the bin, which I don’t really understand the purpose of. I find it tedious and not always responsive when turning on and off, would have preferred a physical switch at least. These are small personal downsides compared to the success rate I’ve been getting with it though. Overall, its been a fantastic vacuum and has changed my mind about robot vacuums in general. We have two dogs which shed a good bit, plus have 2 kids, so there’s always cleaning needing to be done. Shark is a great brand which we use for our other vacuums and I’m always happy with their products. The app has pretty good communication with the base, provides a brief report post-cleaning, and is simple enough for anyone to use.

Best Smart Vacuum I've Had To Date
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past, I haven't had very good luck with Smart Vacuums. Either the software was buggy and it would get confused or simply stop mid navigation, or they would choke up on my dogs hair. After getting my first Shark vacuum and being impressed with it, I figured I would give a shark smart vacuum a shot to help keep up on my German Shepherds hair. I picked this model specifically because it said it can handle dog hair. I have to say given the simplistic design of this thing I'm very impressed with what it can do. For starters the build quality on this is about what you would expect. Its mostly plastic, with a plastic base station that. Its very easy to disassemble, like removing the roller out of the bottom or the dust bin out of the back. Emptying the dust bin is straight forward and pretty quick. It has a built in dust filter in the dust bin to help keep the air clean. It has indicator lights on the top to let you know its status as well as buttons to tell it to return home. For as small as this thing is, it does a really good job vacuuming. It gets up all my dogs fur on a daily basis, as well as other smaller debris that really has no business being on the floor. The edge sweeper is also very effective for getting the dirt up that builds up in corners and along the baseboard. What is really impressive about this unit is how good the software is, for both the navigation and the control. Setup was pretty straight forward, though time consuming with lots of prompts and waiting on the robot to update. Once done, and the robot had a high enough charge it was ready to go (took about an hour after first setup). It then proceeded to map my entire house. This process took about an hour itself. The robot then returned to the base station without issue and let us know it was done. The control software gives you a nice detailed map after its done. It has built in controls so you can break your living area down into rooms. Once that is done you can then designate a room for it to clean and off it goes. You can also define a schedule for it to clean on. The vacuum has its own voice as well. It will tell you when it has issues, such as the brush being stuck, or the dust bin being full. If you're not around the vacuum, it will alert you via the app as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this vacuum after using it for about 2 weeks. I haven't had any issues with it yet (which is a lot better than other smart vacuums I've used) and look forward to seeing how it does in the future.

Surprised with robo Shark Vacuum Navigator
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pleasantly surprised with Shark and their robotic vacuum... Coming into this product I was biased with already using 2 other name brands and I was pessimistic in the outcome. I was supposed had to take my pessimism back. So let's start with setup. Setup was super easy. I have Android phone so I went to the play store and downloaded the app. I created an account and followed the step by step app setup. Super fast. I then let it do a test run to explore. That took about 20 mins. I only tested in my master bedroom and bathroom. About 300 SF. I then programmed a weekday schedule to run at 10 am every morning. So here are the results. I have a lounge chair that always. I mean always gets my existing other name brand robo vacuum stuck. This shark navigator did just fine. Also my other vacuum keeps on getting stuck in my walk in closet. Shark navigator did not. My other vacuum had a tough time to get over about an 1.5 inch high threshold to get in and out of the master bathroom. Shark navigator did not have an issue. The hair detangler did great on the shark. Still does not do well on my other vacuum. I always have to take scissors and cut the hair. Emptying dust bin is just fine... HEPA filter cleaning and access is easy too. So my only con with shark navigator are 3 things. 1. It is a bit loud. 2. The HEPA filter is a little sloppy in staying in the bin and 3. The lights are bright if you leave this in a sleeping quarter. Other than that great purchase. I would recommend this product for what it is meant for.

Posted .We love a good plot twist, and it sounds like Shark’s robotic vacuum turned your skepticism into satisfaction! From easy setup to navigating tricky furniture and thresholds like a pro, it’s great to hear it’s outperforming your previous vacuums.
We appreciate your honest feedback on the noise level, HEPA filter fit, and lighting. Every detail helps us improve. Overall, we’re thrilled the Shark Navigator earned its spot in your cleaning routine. Thanks again for the thoughtful review!

Easy to use, smart and cleans good!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really impressed with the robot. Came in a compact box with a charging station and a couple of cleaning kind of stars that you fix onto the robot (nice to have a spare). I'm really impressed with it, because I have tried other robots in the past, and they all had issues going over my rugs (I have plenty on my place), they all got stuck or rolled the rugs. Not this little guy. I guess technology has improved and I can see this one has good clearance underneath too. It goes over and cleans my area rugs with absolutely no issues. Setting it up was easy, however it requires the robot to be charged. I left it charging for while and the I was onto the races. Using their phone app it paired quickly with my phone and then I gave it my Wi-fi network credentials. Then it was ready to do my place mapping. This step is important and they recommend and I do to, you try to clear its path as much as you can (pick up any shoes, toys etc., that may be on the floor, that ways it allows the robot to go to as many places it can so it can make a good initial map of your place). It took a while to finish and then it returned by itself to the charging station to charge. After that you can just send the robot to clean your whole place, however the app also lets you designate zones (i.e a prohibited one, were you don't want the robot to go), set cleaning schedules etc. The robot also has 3 power modes, one eco, normal and the strongest one. I just left it on normal (it will remember, but you can change it anytime you want). It cleaned my place real go, so much to the point that I had to empty its basked afterwards and it was completely full with dust, lint and hairs!! (it was easy to remove, my only gripe is you have to turn the robot off to do so, as per its instructions, don't know why). While cleaning its not super loud, however it does make some noise, you will know its doing its thing. If your place is large and it cannot do its full place cleaning in one full battery charge, it will return to its base to recharge and then it will resume its cleaning. On my case it was able to clean my whole place with some battery to spare, like 30%. I'm really glad to see how much these robots have improved, or maybe its Sharks tech! But if you want a robot that really cleans and does not get stuck on rugs and other stuff, this is the guy for you. Oh, and hey, you can name your robot any way you want, I name mine "Steve McClean!".

It is worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quieter of my last Roomba. Very good suction (I have 2 dogs that shed a lot) and it doesn’t really get stuck. I love the smart mapping. I’m happy for what I payed.

Inexpensive little helper, but will not solve all.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark’s entry level robot vacuum is on par with what you’d expect in this price class. It clears carpet decently and keeps the pet dander from building up too much between cleanings with a regular vacuum. I wouldn’t count on this to replace a cleaning service or regular cleaning. Pros: -Decent Cleaning Performance: The Shark Robot Vacuum generally performs well in cleaning, picking up a good amount of dust and debris from carpets. The dustbin was relatively full after each cleaning cycle. -Quiet Operation: One of its notable advantages is its quiet operation, making it less disruptive than other robot vacuums I’ve tried. Neither of my cats ran from it (though they looked at it suspiciously). -Shorter Design: Its compact and shorter design allows it to navigate under furniture and in tighter spaces that taller robots I’ve had. This gets under furniture nicely! It’s also small enough to go comfortably between chair legs, something the Euffy can’t do. -Quick Room Navigation: The robot moves efficiently and quickly through rooms, completing cleaning tasks relatively quickly. It’s much faster than a Roomba, which takes forever. It’s not quite as fast as Euffy’s cleaner, which has a larger brush area. -Clean brush: The brush roller stays clear of cat hair, despite 2 cats in the house which lounge everywhere. Cons: -Inconsistent Hardwood and Tile Cleaning: On my kitchen floor, the Shark vacuum pushed dirt around instead of sucking it up. I ended up having to vacuum it separately. As that room is my messiest, I was really hoping the robot could effectively give a quick sweep each night. Unfortunately, this is still my chore for now. -Inferior to Corded Vacuums: The cleaning performance, while decent for a robot vacuum, does not match the cleaning capabilities of a corded vacuum. I picked up significant hair and dirt when I went over an area just cleaned by the robot. Of note, I usually vacuum about once per week. I picked up about 25% of what I typically see. -Inconvenient Dustbin Placement: The dustbin is located on the front, immediately adjacent to where it parks on the base. This means I have to pull the robot back to get the dustbin out, then hope I line up the robot with its charging contacts when I put it back. -Collision with Obstacles: The vacuum frequently rolls over or through obstacles such as pet bowls, spilling contents. I have to put the bowls on a shelf of the cat tree when the vacuum is running. -Limited Scheduling Features: The inability to schedule cleaning for individual rooms at specific times limits its flexibility and convenience. My general preference is to alternate which rooms are being vacuumed so I don’t have to pick up everything every day. I can also much things around between rooms being cleaned and those on pause. Unfortunately, the room by room settings are only available from the app for immediate start instead of scheduling for when I’m not home.

Does a great job on flat surfaces
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does a great job cleaning the dog hair off the wood floors. It doesn't do so well on the rugs. It is also the loudest robot vac that I have had. It did run itself off the top step and tumbled right to the bottom, but kept on working so I guess that it is durable. Our other vacuums have been able to avoid falling down the stairs.

Best in open spaces
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. The vacuum cleans well and is a fairly smart device, I still have to use the upright occasionally, because the Shark doesn't lift the carpet pile, at least it didn't appear so. It has to recharge to finish the whole house (2300sqft) due to tight spaces and large furniture. The app is okay. It would be great if the app could show the progress and location of the robot during cleaning so I don't have to go find it.
