I am impressed with this cordless vacuum. It does a great job of capturing dust and particles on carpets and floors. Having hair (pet and human) all over the house, this vacuum makes the cleaning process a lot easier because the brushless bar doesn’t get clogged. The technological design uses a spinning bar with firm fiber-like flaps, so hair does not end up stuck on the bar. The battery power is enough to last a decent area. It comes with three modes of cleaning: bare floor, carpet, and max power. I am excited to try this vacuum on the couch and the cars as they tend to be the areas with the most debris. This vacuum is not super loud. Admittedly, it does appear very large. However, it is relatively lightweight and easy to maneuver. For this reason, I can use it to clean high to reach places like ceiling vents. Emptying the bin canisters is a fast and straightforward process, and most of the time, I don’t even need to touch the filter. Furthermore, I am pleased with the look of this product. I highly recommend this vacuum for any home, especially when there is a lot of loose hair.

    Great Bagless Vacuum

This Shark Rocket Pet Pro Bagless vacuum is a great unit. It offers a lot of flexibility and power in a small package. It's a stick vacuum that easily and quickly converts into a hand vacuum. It offers a Bare Floor Setting for bare floors and area rugs and a Carpet setting where the brushroll spins faster to pick up debris below the surface of carpets. I also really like the Boost Mode trigger to give you that extra bit of power when you need it! The main vacuum has a solid feel but it's not too heavy. It can be used on floors, area rugs and carpet with the provided wand and floor nozzle. To test out how well it worked I dropped flour, banking soda and dirt on both my carpeted and wood floors and the vacuum picked it all up easily. I don't have a pet right now, but the vacuum comes with a Pet Multi-Tool which I used to quickly pick up dog hair off of my couch from a recent dog friend that visited. Removing the floor nozzle, I added the 8" crevice tool to the wand so I could vacuum some hard to reach cobwebs that had accumulated in the corner behind my TV. The vacuum comes with a wall charger and a pre-installed Li-Ion Battery. This is a solid high performing stick vacuum which performs well. The ONE thing I would have liked to have seen in the box was some sort of mounting bracket. Nothing too fancy. Just something I could use to hang this up in a wall closet or kitchen that could be used to keep the vacuum and its accessories organized and stored. Other than that it's a great vac

Love the no hair wrap self-cleaning Zero-M feature

I’m a huge fan of Shark’s no hair wrap self-cleaning Zero-M feature on this brushroll. Our corded Shark Apex vac we’ve had for 5 months has this feature and I haven’t had to remove a single strand of hair from those brushrolls. I’ve cleaned our entire house with this Rocket cordless stick vac (required several recharges) and all of the hair made it to the dust cup, nothing wrapped around the brushroll. Prior to these Shark vacs I used my pocketknife to cut my wife’s hair out of various vacuum brushrolls every month for the last 25 years. Now I know better and won’t ever buy another vac without this feature. The charging port is on the battery and it can be charged while attached or detached from the vac. The battery is replaceable, and it doesn’t require a special battery charger, just an easily replaceable AC adapter with a barrel plug. Win, Win. I’m not a fan of planned obsolescence. The Rocket has circuitry that will shut down the vac or delay charging if the battery gets too warm. After a full charge I used the Rocket around my house until the LEDs indicated the charge was low. I kept cleaning on Boost Mode until the vac shut itself off. When I attempted to charge the battery, it indicated the battery was not at optimal temperature to charge (outer LEDs flashing). The manual states charging is only paused, leave the battery plugged in, charging will resume once the battery cools. The battery was barely warm, so charging resumed soon. That is a great feature that should help extend the life of the battery. The three LED lights on the front of the floor nozzle help you see debris and the pivot point where it connects to the wand helps you steer in tight places. There are no lights on the vac itself, only lights on the floor nozzle. The two pre-motor filters and one post-motor HEPA filter are all easy to remove and clean with just water. I like the use of quarter-turn fasteners to access the brushroll instead of regular screws. They made the Rocket easy to maintain. The Rocket is great on hard floors. We have several furry children that eat off the floor and the Rocket makes quick work of cleaning up their crumbs. It also does a great job cleaning up litter that gets tracked outside their box in the bathroom. I’m used to bending over with a hand vac for quick cleanups and the Rocket has been much nicer to use. The Rocket works well on carpet, but I’d rather plug in one of our corded vacs to clean our carpeted upstairs. Our corded Shark Apex does a better job on our carpeted stairs, but the cordless Rocket is more convenient. Cons: There is no on-board tool storage, just like our other Shark vac. Why not design spots along the wand that can hold the crevice and multi-tool? It sure would make the vac easier to use. A $300-dollar vacuum should include a way to hold the tools. I’m using a toilet paper tube taped to the wand to hold the crevice tool. It worked so well I decided to make one for the brush. I made that one using a paper towel tube I cut and taped back together. There’s no bracket or easy way to hang or store the vac unless you have the MultiFLEX wand instead of the standard wand. The Rocket with standard wand can’t stand on its own for storage but it can be leaned against a wall and the floor nozzle sticks out 12 to 13 inches. This works best on carpet. If the vacuum is propped this way on a hard floor, the floor nozzle can roll away from the wall and fall if you aren’t careful. Hair can catch on the dustbin lid while emptying. A gentle shake and tap on the bin usually make it fall free but there have been several times it was easier to grab the hair and pull it out. There are some tight spaces inside the dust bin along the back side that tend to hold fuzzies. Eventually other debris knocks them loose. The tools snap securely onto the wand or vac but there is no way to rotate the crevice tool or the pet multi-tool. Also, the neck of the multi-tool doesn’t swivel like ones included with most vacuums we have owned like our other Shark vac. This makes it a challenge if not impossible to use in tight places like our cat furniture. I rotate the tools on our corded shark vac 45 degrees. This lets me tilt the vacuum slightly sideways making it easier to maneuver the vac in tight spaces. It also helps to “steer” the brush around corners in these tight spaces. Sometimes I rotate the multi-tool 90 or even 180 degrees to vacuum vertical surfaces like the back of our couch, carpeted stairs and cat furniture. You can’t do this with the Rocket vac. If you use the multi-tool attached directly to the Rocket vac and you are reaching 12 inches back under/into something, you need 13 inches of height for handle clearance. If you want to reach in/under with the entire vac, about 18 inches deep, ideally you will need 15 inches of height to clear. Either way, if you lower the vac handle beyond 12 inches, the dust-bin bottoms out forcing the muli-tool to pivot off the surface and break contact/suction. If they allowed the tool or its neck to rotate, like most brush/multi-tools, you could use the vac in more places. I used the Rocket in my truck interior and several times it would have been useful to rotate the crevice and brush tools 90 degrees, but I managed to get the job done.

Currently, I own quite a lot of the Shark/Ninja stuff. Between kitchen appliances and my three vacuums, it's my preferred brand. I got a Hoover cordless vac last year and it didn't last me 4 months before it started giving me the warning sign indicator and losing suction completely. I've never had an issue with this, my other (corded) Shark vacuum or my Shark hand-vac. Included in the box is the cordless vac itself and a few basic attachments. Pretty standard fare, really. Assembly was super easy and a non-issue. It works on bare floors, carpet, above floor and in-car - just about anywhere you can fit it. It advertises up to a 40 minute run-time, which in our use over the past week, has been pretty accurate. It lasted about 25-30 minutes in full-turbo mode (by holding the trigger) and about 40-45 min on just the regular vacuum mode. Our house is about 2,100 sq. ft and we can do the whole house on regular vacuum on a single charge and the battery ends at level 1. I do love that the bare floor setting does not shift around the pet hair on the floor and cause it to dance around the vacuum. It sucks it right up. However, in a full-house vacuum, we found that we have to empty the container about 2-3 times. My only real complaint is that, while this is advertised and marketed as "Pet Pro" (which is the main reason I go this vacuum)...I really don't see it. Sure, it has the self-cleaning brush roll for pet/long hair and "no hair wrap". But...the accessories you get with it really don't cater at all for pet hair. We have a dog and two cats. The dog and one of the cats has super course fur and we have a fabric couch/loveseat the dog fur magnets itself to it. It's near impossible to remove and the only thing we've found that comes close is a Roller that uses a rubber head and goes back and forth. This vacuum does not help. At all. There are no attachments that will even come close to removing the layers of fur that build up and the vacuum cleaner head itself is too big and awkward to hold sideways to run it up the front of the couch. Also, per the wife...who also double checked with the 10yr old...this is NOT Magenta. It's more close to a metallic Burgundy or Maroon color. They really stressed that I mention this in the review. LOL Pros: Battery is good and as advertised The main vacuum head/unit has LED lights. LOVE IT! Picks up great, especially on non-carpeted areas Feels sturdy and not cheap Cons: Needs a furniture vacuum attachment for pet fur Color is NOT Magenta. With the above being said, I'm giving this vacuum 4 out of 5 stars. Simply because there's no "Pro" to the "Pet" advertisement. If you are going to market something for pets, especially titling it "Pro", then give us everything we need to remove pet fur. Not just from the floor.

Being a Dog Owner, having a quality vacuum that can suck up all the hair they shed plus the rest of your typically home messes is a necessity. Shark did a great job on this Vacuum all while being completely cordless! PROS: - The design is very modern. It looks high end without being too pricey and all the components all match along nicely. The Vacuum itself is lightweight but the large attachment head makes it heavier which is fine given how advanced the large attachment head is. - I really love this but the long stick attachment that goes from the vacuum to the large head attachment has a power supply adapter so it will run power from the vacuum to the large attachment head so that it can have additional spin power and lighting. - Shark was really smart in this, but the vacuum has a detachable battery pack which you can leave on or take off to charge. It’s nice because hypothetically you could buy another battery to extend the life of the vacuum which is great. - Finally, the use of the Vacuum is excellent! I received plenty of power and sucked up a lot of dust/dog hair/dirt/crumbs around the house. The house has a power mode for the flat hardwood/tile/vinyl and one for carpet plus an extra trigger for more power on either setting. Overall I was very impressed with its performance! CONS: - When you want to take the Vacuum off of the stick attachment, it isn’t as smooth as you want. It might be because of the power connector but its just an okay transition to detach. - The Vacuum does not come with any mounting device for storage purposes. It’s not terrible because the detachable battery is easily chargeable but it would have been nice to have. BOTTOM LINE: - Whether you own a pet that shed or not, this cordless vacuum is going to be a wonder for your house. It can be used in so many places around the house and has plenty of power. Great work Shark!

So when this arrived, and I opened it up, what first caught my attention was the lightweight feeling of this product. Now I won't lie, I've always been a believer that if is heavier, it must be better. Don't listen to your brain when it tells you that because as you use this vacuum, you'll be thanking Shark for coming up with a lighter weight vacuum because you carry the weight up top, not on the floor. I was able to use it on multiple surfaces, throw rugs, carpeted stairs, hardwood floors, and I must say it did the job. No hair wrapped around the roller (thank you) and the pivot of the head made it easy to navigate. Most importantly, the little LED's while not as bright and effective as other Shark vacuums, was enough to see where the hair/dirt was. This is one of the most valuable features of this vacuum, the headlight will help you see what you missed. I'm not a robotic person that neatly does row after row, I just push and hope to get it all - the headlight helps me to realize I've missed spots. I can say, you'll agree how valuable this is on anything other than pile carpet where you can see carpet marks - hardwoods, tile, etc. you don't get carpet marks, so the headlight is so helpful. My first run out of the box, without charging the battery, yielded me a bunch of dust and hair. Emptying the canister does take time to remove the wand, then you can empty. It doesn't just all fall out as I wish it would, I had to pull hair out that was wrapped around the little design on the base of the canister floor - this was a bit disappointing - the door just falls open and hair, dust, etc. is left for gravity to fall out, which it doesn't, so you will have to deal with pulling this out by hand. The good news is that in the Shark tradition, washable filters are an inexpensive way to keep this vacuum going for years. I didn't smell any pet odors, so the filtration is working. You can replace the battery (or buy a spare) and have it ready to squeeze the tabs and replace - that is a great feature because if you plan to do more than "up to 40 minutes" of cleaning, you'll want to have a spare battery. I used the low and high modes, both with success. Most of my downstairs is tile/hardwood, with accent/throw rugs. The nice thing is that you don't have to switch heads or anything to go from carpet to hardwood, it just works. And you can switch power while on the go from your fingertips, no reaching/stooping for a switch. The battery level indicator is on the right side, near the back, so as you turn your head towards it, you'll see how you are doing with remaining battery. I was able to accomplish the downstairs, and stairs, with a 1/2 charged battery out of the box without recharging. I'd say that is pretty good. I would like to have seen a brighter headlight, and maybe even a powered mini-furniture/beater brush attachment. However, for the money, this is a decent value considering some of the other battery vacuums I've either owned or tried that cost around the same amount.

Shark Rocket Pet Pro Cordless Vacuum Full disclosure: I was given a Shark Rocket Pet Pro Cordless Vacuum in exchange for a timely and honest review. List price $299.99 The vacuum arrived in excellent shape, the retail box was actually packed inside two overwrap cartons which seemed like overkill, but it was certainly good protection. Unpacking and setup was very simple. The Quick Start Guide states the battery is not shipped with a full charge and instructs us to charge it fully before the first use. I’d say the battery was about 40-50% charged. I believe it completed the charge to 100% in 30-40 minutes from this original level. The battery can be charged when it is attached to the vacuum or when it is detached. There are six parts in the box. The power head, the lithium ion battery charger (120 Volts ONLY), the extension wand, a crevice tool, a “pet multi-tool” which is a small brush like and an upholstery tool. Once charged, my wife and I tested it out on carpet, hardwood floors and a rugged entryway floor mat. Suction is pretty good for a battery vacuum like this and the combination of the rotary head and the suction were very effective at picking up dirt and hair. We were both impressed with how well it picked up dirt off the entry rug. This rug presents and fair challenge for our built-in vacuum, so it is a worthy adversary for any vacuum. The vacuum is very easy to handle and very maneuverable. The power head attaches either to the extension wand or directly to the attachments. With the power head installed, a twist of the wrist steers the power head in either direction. It is quick to clean around chair legs and under tables. We picked up quite a bit of dust, dirt and hair even without owning a pet. The dust cup empties easily with the press of a button. It is nice that their is an allergy filter to trap fine particles as well. It will be very helpful to have this vacuum available for those times when we have a specific area we want to clean, but don’t wish to pull out the 35’ central vacuum hose. I suspect this will be used a lot! I can’t find any accessories for this yet, but it is certainly constructed such that you could have one battery on charge, while using the vacuum with a second battery. This could be handy for someone who would like to keep one battery topped off, while using another. The power head has some nice rubber feet on the bottom for setting it on a shelf. One welcome addition would be a hook hole upon which to hang the power head. Currently the only options are to lean it against something (like a wall) or to remove the wand and set the power head on a flat service. We have not had the vacuum long enough to comment on how it holds up over time, but it has a quality feel which leads me to expect it to work well for years.

I got this vacuum primarily to clean the stairs and other hard to reach areas. Opening the box, it comes with a couple of attachments and takes only a couple seconds to put together...so big plus there. I vacuumed the stairs and living room with my old vacuum cleaner (5+ year old Dyson upright) and then vacuumed again with the new Shark. Even with the very good Dyson going first, the Shark picked up quite a bit of additional dust and debris. I was a little surprised at how much more stuff it picked up. The real value prop for this one is the ease of use. Lugging my old Dyson on the stairs is a real pain. With the Shark, it fits the depth of the stairs perfectly and made it easy to go up and down since there isn't a cord to worry about and it is so light. You can also shorten the stick for easier vacuuming on stairs, chairs, or other hard to reach spaces. Overall, highly recommend the Shark - Rocket for quick clean-up chores.

The way it is designed to lean against a wall for storage is a nice touch. Size and power handles 2-3 bedroom house with 75% hard floor with plenty of battery left and 1-1/2 canister changes. Handles up to medium pile carpet. Deeper carpets are fine for spot cleaning or smaller areas. This model handles pet hair and resists clogging advertised. Simple accessories, but don't need anything else.

My wife wanted a new cordless vacuum, she compared all of the other vacuums and decided she wanted another shark. We still have our old Shark Navigator corded vacuum - it has served us well over the last 7 years. We also have a Samsung PowerBot that cleans during the evenings - so we just needed something for spot cleaning. We have been using this vacuum for a couple of months now and the following are our observations: Pros: - Great suction - Extensions are the perfect length for us - Self cleaning pet brush is a huge plus as we have dogs that shed - it's cordless - Easy disassembly - Powered roller attachment - Removable/replaceable battery Cons: - Battery life is short (hardwood setting while using the spot clean attachment and without squeezing boost trigger is about 25 minutes / with squeezing is about 10 minutes | using the power head seems about the same +/- a few minutes) - Pet brush will clog - Opening for debris in collection chamber isn't large enough or right shape - will clog - *** No wall mounted storage adapter is included or available on shark's website*** - Unit will fall over if leaned against wall, counter, chair or table when powered roller is being used. - Must remove extension and powered roller for charging or it takes up too much space and gets knocked over or falls over. - Charger port on battery is a barrel connection on the battery (would rather see a wall mount plate that holds the unit with contacts to charge the battery with out plug)

I love the vacuum overall. It's quiet, light enough (although just a little top-heavy, but that's expectable with the battery), and does a good job of cleaning my laminate and carpeted floors. The battery lets me vacuum my approximately 660-square-foot apartment on one charge. If you're using it for a bigger place, consider getting an extra battery or two. My one mild complaint is that the dirt container is rather small (0.1 US gallon, if I remember right). For small messes, that's just fine. But if you're using the vacuum for a whole house, you'll need to empty multiple times, especially if you have pets. Also, having a way to connect the extra tools to the column would be great.

This vacuum is a good value when compared to other brands with similar features. The suction is good and the no tangle roller is perfect for pets and people w/long hair. To address some of the reviews about the charge, it holds the charge adequately enough for me to complete a 1200 sq ft home w/ no problems. I have wood, rugs, and carpet & it works well on those. My only real complaint is the main body is pretty bulky which makes finding a good charing spot hard. It also can't stand without leaning against something or it tips over because it's off-balance. Otherwise, it works great and is perfect for multi-floor homes & stairs.

Ive had it for a couple of wks now and I liked it a lot so far. I’m 4’11” and it doesn’t seem heavy or too large to handle for me. I like that I can just grab it and give a quick vacuum. Battery is ok but then again I live in a studio apartment so I have a very small sq ft area to vacuum. Easy to change out tools. This is my first time ever owning a stick vacuum so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Only thing I don’t like is that sometimes it slides off the wall when it’s in resting position. It’s kind of annoying. Wish it had a different storing option.

I think this vacuum is great! Suction is awesome on carpet and bare floors. Easy to operate, bright light in front brush roll, maneuverability is very good. Battery life allows you to vacuum an entire average sized house. Dust bin is small but emptying it after each use makes it a non issue. Able to transform into a hand held with a coulee attachment makes it very handy. I’ve found myself wanting to vacuum more because it’s so easy to grab and go and turn it on very quickly, as opposed to corded which is a lot more inconvenient. Hair doesn’t seem to get caught in the brush roll like every other vacuum I’ve ever used. If you are willing to charge it after every use and change the dust bin you will be super satisfied with this vacuum

Love the ease of use and super convenient cordless design. No comparison to my purple dc17 animal but it’s a great go to for daily maintenance. Only complaint is the small front roller wheels need to be removed often to remove hair that wraps around them. Otherwise very easy to use, and easy to clean. I recommend looking into some of the additional accessory tools.

I like this vacuum, the only reason I did not give 5 stars is because using in car the cylinder gets in the way some areas. It works well on carpet and floors and easier to clean than my dyson . My dyson only works for 7 minutes with a full charge. I hope the shark will retain life after a couple years.

My fiancé and I have the lower version of this vacuum and my mom expressed an interest in ours so we bought her the higher model and she LOVES it. The cordless feature is so convenient. She is able to vacuum all major areas of her house with one charge. The fins instead of brush bristles is a huge deal because between two daughters and 2 dogs the hair never gets stuck in the vacuum! Only downside she found was that the vacuum doesn’t stand up on its own because the container weighs it down a bit.

I waited to use this Vac before I did a review. Been using this daily for 8 months. It’s great for pet hair. I use it mostly on a hard wood floor. I also works great on carpet. Easy to clean, and charge lasts enough to do most of my house with no problem. Charging is fast and in 8 months I have not noticed a problem with the charge. I’m happy with my purchase.

I've got no complaints about the performance of the vacuum. Great on tile and hardwood and does a decent job on carpets. My only complaint is.......... It will not stand up by itself, nor can you lean it up to a wall without it falling over. It's good that I have a couple rolls of duct tape to repair those hard hits to the floor.LOL C'mon, ya gotta be able to figure that out.
