My receiver in the office finally broke down after 20 years. This Sony receiver is very simple. It is the smallest one that I have seen to fit into my small space. It does not have many fancy buttons or settings. It is simple and serves my needs. Connection and set up is simple. Very good buy.

Bought this unit to replace an old receiver In the pool house. Didn't want anything fancy, but rather just easy to use with good power and sound. That is exactly what this unit is, good value for the cost. Sounds really good and has plenty of power to drive the Definative Tech speakers outside.

This Stereo Receiver is, as the title suggests, just what we were looking for. It is a bit larger in size than what I would of wanted but that being said - it delivers in performance! The price was right and it's easy to operate! Yay Best Buy for having it in stock, available for immediate pick up and making me a happy customer!

I would have gave 4 stars but the bass and treble adjustments were weak and it had no eq. options. Also there was no input for phono with a signal boost . I had to buy a small mixer to boost the signal for my turn table.

Bought this to replace my marance that shot stopped working after35 years of service . This one has a remote control and works great although u have to use the remote to adjust the balance and do a lot of other things like vcr's or CD player or phonograph .easyto set up great unit.

I purchased the receiver to replace my TV sound system, price was right, quality is good, functions are easy to operate. The only negative I have about it is. It has no digital sound inputs. After careful shopping I found an adapter and all is good.. It has great sound and does the job.

We bought this to simply run sound from an iPod to our in-wall speakers. The sound is great, the function fine, but it just seems there should be an easier way of hooking up devices to it, and the controls, like all receivers are difficult to figure out. I always feel like I am not using it to its fullest potential.

These days everything electronic involves gadgets. This receiver is simple. A volume knob, A source selector switch, simple two channel stereo. And it sounds good. Just don't look at the remote. There is enough buttons on that thing to launch a space shuttle.

Good power. Good sound. Remote is handy. No phono jack so you'll need a preamp for a turntable, if you'll be using it for that. When you're at this pricepoint you're not looking for perfect. This is better than good sound depending on your speaker system. My opinion, it's a good buy.

Was looking for a very basic receiver to replace one that conked out. It is connected to a DVD/VHS player; two sets of remote speakers and our DirectTV satellite. This was just what I looking for - and am proud to say I hooked it up by myself (not an easy feat for this tech-not-so-savvy grandma.)

the product did not have a phono input. My primary use was for an old turntable. I returned the unit. I was told at best by a pre-amp would fix the issue. I bought the suggested pre-amp. However, the combination of pre-amp and the sonny receiver caused distortion. I returned both but at this time the return policy was expired. I was given store credit instead. I do not know what to do with it. I hope I find a use for it sometime in future. Very unhappy about it.

Inexpensive but has 6 inputs and plenty of power. Wish it had a dedicated phono input but does not really need one as there are plenty of inputs to choose from. The remote is busy with very few of the buttons used unless you have the companion CD or DVD players. All in all a very good unit.

I bought this item as an open box and I regretted it. I sent it twice to Geek Squad to have it repaired and the second time it came back it still had issues. When I first had it was fine. But after use for a few months it decided to take a dive on me. After complaining enough to Best Buy about it, they replaced it. I have had the replacement for about 2 months now, and it does not seem to have any issues yet. Hope it continues to fine.

I purchased this model since all I wanted was a simple stereo receiver and not the top of the line receivers with all the video inputs and outputs. It also has a much better user manual than the more expensive Sony which has very minimal instructions.

My faithful receiver from the 1970's finally lost the right channel completely, and I needed to find a replacement. The Sony receiver had everything that I needed and nothing that I did not need or want to pay for. I have had the unit for a month now and am very satisfied with it.

I have long needed an AM-FM receiver for my office to listen to music, news, etc., while working at my desk. This Sony unit fits the bill perfectly when hooked up to my aging Dynaco A-25 speakers. On top of the performance the $100 price was hard to beat.

Bought this receiver to add speakers to my previously purchased Hisense Smart TV. Works well and gives good sound. The location of the Speakers A/B switch right below the Power switch has made life a little more interesting..... All in all, a good value for the money!

Sony audio equipment is packed with lots of features and power for an affordable price. Except for playing movies, stereo sound is all we would need for everyday playing any kind of music from the classical to popular. I would definitely recommend it for personal or professional use.

This is not for a complex home theater setup. But for the basics of 2 channel music, or for a small non-surround video system, it works quite well. Built like a tank, sounds very good for the price, and the remote is very functional and convenient.
